- Before a judge sentenced eye drop killer Jessy Kurczewski for murdering her friend Lynn Hernan, Kurczewski made a two hour statement to the court. The convicted killer detailed why she’s innocent and why Hernan “probably” killed herself. Kurczewski called the trial “crap” and said “when” her conviction is overturned, “everyone will know I was right.”

Well, wait a minute, there was a video recording known to be Lynn Herndon, that was dated and mentioned this letter. Is this letter the only one deemed to be real or not? I’m confused now because there was a video from Lynn that discussed most of this. So confused. I wish I would not have heard this now cause I have so many questions.
@PamelaMorris-fy5md. As do I!! I didn’t follow the trial, just the sentencing & this statement of the defendant. The popular opinion seems to be that the jury got it right! Maybe they’ve seen more evidence. But this young woman actually raises some compelling arguments in her statement, especially regarding the “rules of evidence” & admission/denial of testimonies as attested by less-knowledgeable witnesses.
I don’t think she’s trashed her friend’s memory significantly by discussing some of the deceased Lynne’s activities and past. She’s not emerging in the statement as a “saint,” but since Jessie places herself in the same situations & nocturnal activities & excursions, she’s hardly dragging Ms. Lynne’s memory through the mud.
I don’t rely so much on witnesses testifying myself. I certainly think that science & technology have made SOME progress in forensics & in microscopic analysis, whereas the jury system really hasn’t progressed at all.
I don’t like saying anything out of hat, but on its face, the statement raises some questions & some finer points of law worth investigating, guilty or not, if her case & her due process rights were handled at all as she alleges.
She’s got a better shot at appellate courts than most under life sentences.
I also think the “best & most compelling story” is Seldom the most truthful one, & people should stop relying on TV-court as the measure to which any trial yields-up verdicts that are accurate-as the judge had already hinted previously, though she believes the “justice system” of the USA-concept is “great.”
I’m also not convinced of the “deadly” properties of eye drops unless delivered in considerably heavy liquid ounces dosages. ⚖️

There were no Visine bottles in the condo. NONE. How did she kill herself with Visine and somehow, in her sick, frail state, manage to get rid of them completely? I mean, they weren’t in the trash or a dumpster in or near her home. They were not there. Someone got rid of them.
