Hey Abhishek 👋, Watching your video's feels like talking friend... Who explains complex topics in a way we can understand 😊.. Thanks for sharing your knowledge... Keep doing.
thank you for such an detailed in-depth discussion on devops vs SRE. Finally understood that, I cannot bypass devops to learn SRE. I also see a need to learn python for devops and go lang for SRE.
Hi.. Abhishek Bro, Could you please create a series about Migration Related Topic. Hybrid Cloud migrating concepts. Would be more useful for those who are interested about it. Thank you in Advance.
Great video Abhishek Sir! You explained the differences between DevOps and SRE really well. Personally, I think both have promising futures. It's all about finding the right fit for your interests and career goals. Thanks for the insights!
Bro,Just you spoon feeded ❤ first time I watched and subscribed really impressed I am into application and production let me go through your vodeos and become DevOps Engineer😊
Hi Abhishek, Can you please share the complete roadmap to become SRE Engineer for a non devops background people. And what are most important skill sets required to become a SRE Engineer in top MnCs.And please make SRE zero to hero series with real time project, so that i will be helpful. Thanks
Your Python series is amazing Abhishek bhai In the future I am expecting a Go Language series Because there are very few resources available on this for DevOps
Perfect! This made me clear especially on SRE...thanks Abhishek But I see companies where devops people working in rotational shifts. Is that really true that devops engineers should mandatorily work in shifts? Are all the organisations encouraging this ?
I am from storage and backup support domain. Problem is shifts. I thought moving to devops will help me to avoid shifts and make life healthy. But SRE seems again shift :( Better I choose devops not SRE.
Sir, I am from support background with which is mostly pure application related support which does not have much exposure to any technical things much other than sql. I am currently following your Devops, jenkins, git, kubernetes videos and have learnt many things. But finding it hard to get a head start in Devops career. No one is accepting my resume as i am from support and no prior devops experiance. What shall i do. Please guide. Hope you see my comment and reply
you can show ur current work exp as devops engineer instead of showing as support engineer, but make sure you are prepared to take risk and learn the content strongly
I was hired as a senior devops engineer. But i am working as a platform engineer. Our platform is on AWS, but the role they gave me, is senior infrastructure engineer, and recently i upgraded eks clusters through terraform. My team mainly focuses on cost optimisation, latency etc. Platform team manages the Data infra as well. Like nosql dbs, Kafka etc and data pipeline etc. Also platform team, considers development teams as internal customers, so we fulfill developer requests and release application changes to staging and prod. While the SRE team owns all the observability tools etc, we also are part of on call process with SRE to manage systems. We do have support team as well who do app monitoring team etc.
I work as a cloud platform engineer and mainly implement infra as a cloud, build ci/cd pipelines, monitor and operate infra, also resolve development issues.
Do you mean SRE is more of support role, working in shifts, resolving incidents, monitoring and creating dashboars etc. In that case one wont be having any work exposure on cicd terraform k8s or docker etc. Then how is this a better role than Devops ?? According to me devops >>>> sre !! Who agrees and please feel free to clear my doubts
Please watch the video again, I think you missed the part where I said SRE needs good programming skills and intent to automate things. So it is no where near to support.
I enjoy doing R&D, working on POCs, and learning new tech but avoid support work. Among Platform engineer, DevOps engineer, and SRE, which one would be more suitable for me? Thanks in advance
Hi Anna....I did my graduation in 2016 then I started my career in nonit field (mapping) now I decided to switch my career to IT field...so kindly suggest which is better for me devops r SRE
Very gd evening sir this is Ram I used to watch your videos currently in Bangalore at btm I m very much interested to learn about devops could u recommend me best institute here pls.?
Sir, I am applying for SRE role but not able to crack interview give me some tips😢as I have worked on kubernetes cluster, monitoring tools, given on call support to the client.. so it means I was working for SRE role right?
SRE is a culture, you need to build up that. Working on monitoring is just one part of it. Outside that there are multiple things that SRE engineer does.
Hi Abhisekh, Thank yoh for in detail video. I want to switch my career to SRE/DevOps engineer from Full stack developer. Am having around 10 yrs of experience in development. Along with development can i add DevOps /SRE and slowly move to this field. Could you please guide me what are most required skillset required to switch to DevOps. I have started following your video zero to hero Devops course. But there are many tools and technology is required for DevOps. Is it required all tools and technology to become DevOps engineer. Please guide me.
@@AbhishekVeeramalla thank you for quick reply. Since i don't have amy real experience on DevOps role, minimum how many years i can show as experience while searching job?
May I know why you want to switch from full stack developer? That is also very good career right? Mostly ppl from non-it or support background will be thinking to switch to devops I guess.
Hi everyone i have few doubts 1)can we go with only aws or devops or de we need both for job opportunity. 2)If we want to learn both cloud and devops and which to start first like aws after devops or devops after aws? This query might usefull to someone so plz try to answer this .....Tqs in advance

Devops vs SRE vs platform engineer
How much is the platform engineer is different from other two roles?
It’s different. Platform Engineers build a platform that others can use.

Hi abhishek can you please start gcp for devops series for beginners

To become SRE first we have to learn devOps Or direct SRE?
Please watch the video, I have explained in detail.
I enjoy doing R&D, working on POCs, and learning new tech but avoid support work. Among Platform engineer, DevOps engineer, and SRE, which one would be more suitable for me? Thanks in advance
Platform engineer..you will need to learn IaC as well with a cloud.
DevOps and Platform both are good.
1.Is the SRE only for Devops working guys?
2. Are you going to make tutorials on SRE ?
3. I am not from Devops background. Is it fit for me?
1. Anyone who can learn the skills that I mentioned in the video, can become SRE
2. Yes
