These videos are invaluable but the problem is that you need to educate other doctors from prescribing them. When we tell them they argue and do it anyway.

I have argued with more than one ER Doctor (and actually got one to call my neurologist) over why really, really shouldn’t give me corticosteroids…or they’ll have a much bigger problem on their hand (a cycle of headache, give them meds, then get a WORSE headache (ocular hypertension)… becomes a big circle of a misdiagnosis/missed condition. I’m very lucky my vision is intact, much less as good as it is). I have found the question: “Would you rather risk blinding me or give me morphine and benedryl once for a headache?” (When they want to try a corticosteroid corticosteroids for migraines/cluster migraines). It all started with a migraine, then short term corticosteroids with Topamax. Said effects of pressure mimicked the headache and so forth until someone thought to look closely at my eye (it took them longer to do that than you’d expect ). I’ve found after ask that question (steroids or morphine), they kick you and labor you as a drug seeker (for pointing out something they didn’t know, or treat you at that point). I have found younger doctors are aware of what corticosteroids and migraine meds side effects. (or at least willing to look it up when you tell them about it). I did have a doctor say “there is no such thing as an allergy to Decadron” (steroid). My mom laughed and pulled it up in her phone. “Allergy”…no, but I’d say risking blindness and blinding eye pain on top of blinding eye pain is probably close enough.

I had a similar episode after taking prednisone. The eye doctors told me I will not feel if pressure is below 35 but I did.My eyes were paining at a pressure similar to yours.Previously my pressure was 20 and 20 , I have thick corneas.I don't know what my pressure is now after 2 years.I was supposed to see the eye specialist a second time after 6 months. My last reading was 23 and 24, which was according to him okay because of my 592 corneas. Also there wasn't any problems with the optical disc and everything looked okay them.Interesting to mention I also had a Posterior vitreous detachment after the prednisone and due to the increased pressure ,because I saw a lot of floaters that I never saw before, and I was only 46 then.Just realized it recently. The floaters are still present. I hope I don't have glaucoma , there is like a 6 % chance for me to have it after 5 years with my ocular hypertension. I try to do some natural things to help. Eat a lot of some small citrus fruits like clementines with the peel which has a lot of hesperidin in which lowers eye pressure and I drink billberries together with Pine bark extract. I recently got CDP Choline and also Nicotinamide Mononucleotide which I will start using now to reverse any possible damage if the cells didn't die yet.Green tea, Ginkgo biloba. But i didn't do this all the time, so I hope the times i didn't use it I was still okay and also hopefully the steroid induced hypertension lowered after 2 years.

The only thing I take for colds now is: Tylenol, vitamin C, Zinc, & Zicam. I used to take coricedrin years ago but didn't like the effects so just stopped. What should I take to lower eye pressure? My eye pressure is between 19 & 21 at least the last time I went to the eye doctor. I've been trying to get the eye pressure down on my own by doing several thing's:
Blueblocking glasses anytime I watch TV or play video games.
Heated eye mask use in the morning & at night for a few minutes at time
Added 2 hours of exercise to my routine each morning including eye exercises to lower eye pressure.
Taking: Lutein 20mg, pristene eye pressure pills 1 each day, Equate Vision Formula with lutein 1 pill, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Zinc
For Breakfast: Oatmeal, spoonful of cinnamon, spoonful of chia seeds, banana, blueberries, 1 mini orange
For Lunch: Spinach, half an avocado, chopped up red & orange bell peppers with matchstick carrots, & 1 can of tuna mixed in bowl & heated for 1 minute.
I have hypothyroidism & autism. When I asked the eye doctor years ago how to lower the eye pressure they told me to talk to the thyroid doctor & vice versa with no real answers. All of this is stuffed I researched on my own & through the internet & basically just winging it. If you can tell me if there's anything I'm doing wrong or need to improve upon when it comes to lowering eye pressure I'd truly appreciate it. ✌️

Dr couldn't believe if!!! It's worth looking into!!..Wishing you good health and happiness

I've heard that something called AC Carbamide helps naturally lower eye-pressure. I am taking a leap of faith and just dropped a hundred bucks on a bottle at Amazon. I don't have glaucoma, but something is causing pressure in my eyes and a slight narrowing of the ducts. I also have proptosis (bulging of the eyes) even though I don't have a thyroid issue, or Graves Disease. I have seen three different eye specialists in the last month, and still don't have a straight answer. I see a fourth doctor next week.

I was given Diamox (Acetazolamide) by two eye doctors for my eye pressure. I don't like hearing that it can actually give me glaucoma. Since finding out something's wrong with my eyes and eye pressure, my head has been spinning from all of the conflicting information. It's also impossible to get preservative-free drops if you're not rich.

    • @albbyy
      @albbyy Месяц назад +1

No!

How I struggled with glaucoma after eye surgery... The exercise of closing the eyes helped, while we squeeze out excess fluid from the eyes, one different way... ruclips.net/video/D3O3TtsNxiQ/видео.htmlsi=hmmAHTVOX6CKhicj
Does anyone ever wonder why we rub our eyes? By doing this we equalize the pressure in the eyes and improve the nutrition of the blood vessels, but after surgery this cannot be done...
The pressure in the eye is increased due to the spongy trauber network clogged with fibrous blood, which removes 85% of the fluid from the eyes into the Schlemm canal. This often happens after blood enters due to eye injuries, or eye surgery, sugar, poor diet, etc..
It is necessary to improve fluid drainage:
1 Improve rheology (fluidity...) diet, jars, leeches, etc.
2 Improve blood vessels (contrast shower!!!, vitamins and much more...)
3 Mechanically help remove fluid from the eyes (massage around the eyes to drain lymph..., alternately squeezing and squeezing out excess fluid if you can’t rub your eyes due to surgery or injury, etc.)
I’ll add... In order for the blood to be “liquid”, proper nutrition is necessary!!!, without excess sweets, flour, potatoes, etc.
Good outflow is helped by proper MASSAGE of the eyes and neighboring areas and neck. But it also helps a lot to close your eyes one by one!!! eye to gouge out!!! excess fluid from the eyes into the lymph through the trabecular meshwork (spongy tissue can be clogged with fibrous blood after surgery or injury), into Schlemm’s canal.
Massage of the lymphatic vessels that drain fluid around the eyes and ears, as well as throughout the head, helps to prevent and treat GLAUCOMA!!!
A daily contrast shower or at least applying a hot wet or cold cloth to the eyes to train the elasticity of the blood vessels around the eyes and the entire head helps. All this warns of GLAUCOMA, which is almost impossible to cure otherwise. Only if you put leeches to thin the blood. Regular cupping and cupping (hijama) also help to improve the rheology of blood and lymphatic fluid.
Regular trips to the pool are very useful, because of the contrast shower, because of washing your face after diving, because of constantly closing your eyes, because of swimming and the work of large muscles that help the movement of lymph,,,
