In SCCA P1 we would get a whole weekend out of Hoosier 35 compound tire after track heat cycling. Many racers don't, but they have the money to run a fresh set every race.
Thanks a lot man. Very clearly. I’m gonna do it. One question. How much you pay at the shop for installing them? They are adding a bunch of stuff I don’t know if I’m getting ripped off or what. Thx
Also, heat treating evaporates the greasy release agents in the rubber left over from manufacturing. A new tire feels very greasy the first few laps.@@the_track_enthusiast
Dr. great coverage on an important tire topic...$60.00 investment, nice added value...Thank you for pointing out reason not to buy Michelin 4s...Plan on full set Eagle F1 Supercar 3, for my ZL1 1LE...ST

LOL, agree with you about that tire! Great content, Great video, thanks for sharing!
hey man good info. And yeah started tracking with PSS4S and the sidewalls chunked up after 4 track days on my RS3
Thanks for the great video! Does heat cycling them reduce the grip levels at all? Thanks!
No. Not at all. It will allow them to last longer and have more consistent performance as they go through heat cycles ( sessions on track )

Usually $200-$300 for mounting balance and disposal
@@the_track_enthusiast that's crazy aslll plus all u gotta do is a burnout then let them sit like u said
Mounting, Balancing & new Valve Stem for $20 per tire. Go to a Mexican owned Tire Shop.
Well, you just convince me NOT to do it ¿`_
It depends if you are looking for max performance. I guess you’re not
