That RUclipsr edit the video just to damage Nigerians people image. I watched the full video. The father said to her daughter don’t travel to Nigeria because of insecurity. People just want followers. Shameless people. How can grow up Africa. Nobody will ever say his her mom soup is sweet. Beware of fake RUclipsr. The father is very right to tell her daughter the true story and conditions of Nigeria. If she travel to Nigeria without her father telling her the Nigeria situation or nation worse list. People are going to blame her father. Some are going to say she has been used for rituals. Crazy continent.

I find the father's description of Nigeria to his daughter both disturbing and highly inaccurate. Given that the young lady appears to be between 18 and 23 years old, it is concerning that her perception of Nigeria is shaped by her father’s portrayal of it as a dangerous place. This suggests that he has likely not returned to Nigeria since leaving, which raises questions about the context in which he left the country.
Many Africans in the diaspora left their home countries for different reasons, and we cannot overlook the possibility that he may have left under unfavorable circumstances. He could be a wanted individual or someone who committed crimes, such as armed robbery, and is now using negative narratives to deter his children from visiting Nigeria. If his children are expressing interest in visiting, labeling the country as unsafe might be his way of preventing them from making the trip.
As someone married to a wonderful Turkish woman and blessed with children, I’ve always spoken proudly of Nigeria to my family. When they eventually visited, my wife was filled with gratitude for the experience, and she even expressed a desire for us to relocate there because she and our children fell in love with the country.
Therefore, more investigation should be done to understand why this father is so negative about Nigeria. Constructive criticism of one’s country is necessary for progress, but it must be done thoughtfully and with the intent to inspire change, not reinforce stereotypes.
Unfortunately, he has planted a damaging image of Nigeria in his daughter’s mind. I feel sorry for the young lady, as she may never get the chance to experience the beauty and richness of Nigeria firsthand. If anyone knows her, please tell her that her father’s account is deeply flawed and unfair.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful comment on my new channel. My goal is to unite the Global Diaspora through thought-provoking topics like this one, fostering constructive discussions and seeking meaningful solutions.
I’m currently working on securing an interview with the lady, although she doesn’t speak English. I’m eager to learn more about her background story. However, it’s concerning if we take at face value what she was told, especially since many Nigerian parents actively bring their children home (check out my latest video for more on this).
Congratulations on your blessed marriage and family! We need to hear more positive stories about biracial/black families. If you’re on LinkedIn, I’d love to connect there as well.

How does painting negative image of your country of birth prove your so-called " love for the daughter? Hopefully you aren't having a twisted brain. From all indications, this guy is a failure, after all, no country is perfect. Nigeria like every other country has its own flaws, but it has also so many positives as well. So, trying to undermine the country as a whole because you were a failure while in Nigeria is a disservice to yourself and your offsprings who are deprived of actually knowing their heritage. What a shame!!!

Now, I watched the full interview of this girl story from one Japanese RUclipsr. She said the father told her Nigeria has no security and for her safety to be careful when traveling to Nigeria alone. Nigeria is never like South Korea or Singapore. She finally said that many black Americans and Africans do approach her for relationship, but she said she like Japanese people.
So, this black guy RUclipsr, copy and edit the video just to get followers, he shortened the video just to damage Nigerians people image. The father said for your safety, reason don’t travel to Nigeria alone because too many crimes. He’s a Nigeria and not use to his country because of day by day crimes. Just imagine now, all Nigerians rich citizens are running to Ghana to hide and sending their children to school in Ghana. Bro! Don’t kill innocent souls. Nigeria is roughly dangerous for foreigners to visit without security. Thank you.

Bro!! This s irrelevant. Are you sure her father said so?? Frankly speaking in Japan international is up and down. The mom is more stronger in Japanese and Africa marriage. If the mom like Africa or Nigeria the kids definitely are going to fall in love with Africa. Also, if the mom is not working or saving money for Africa tourism, can the father cheap salary be enough to travel to Africa. The father really wants to teach his children his place of origin. But if no money for that you better hide yourself and give excuses or Japanese government will arrest you and throw you away from the country you suffered for. Also Nigeria and Rhonda or Luanda is big difference in terms of crimes. You need bodyguards and police to guard or strong family members to watch your back in Nigeria or they’ll kidnap you. The environment is filled with criminals and crimes. The police or security services can even betray you any time. Your family members can set you up. So remain the place God made you to be. The lady can take a trip to Africa with her money and if any danger of left for her. The father is never wrong to tell her kids true story of his place of origin. Truly, Nigeria is sweet country but don’t play with Nigerians in terms of kidnapping or rituals. If you love your kids give them good advice concerning our country. If she started traveling to Nigeria from child youth I’ll understand. Now, she can make her own risk. In Japan or foreign marriage, or parents wants to teach their kids English or different dialects. But, some stupid or lazy Japanese parents wants their kids to speak Nihongi. They’ll tell here is Japan. If we’re cooperating with our spouse by teaching English and that is going to help the kids. Believe me, if you’re speaking English to your kids in the house the mother will escape from that position. Some are just depressed. So, kids cannot learn anything from the father side. Japanese people like their country more than anything. They condemn Africa to be land of no light, no roads, no food, no water, no toilets amenities, no good water to drink and shower and the people are scaring, police check points all corners of the city collecting bribes. So, kids believe their mom more than father. If you miss behave the government will throw you back Africa. So, just answer yes until you’re capable to go back home. Japanese people are always winners in terms of their country

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand that discussions about cultural identity and perceptions of Africa can evoke strong feelings. Let me address a few points:
      1. Parental Influence on Cultural Identity
You’re absolutely right that both parents play a significant role in shaping their children’s perception of their heritage. When one parent is less supportive or knowledgeable about Africa, it can influence the children’s understanding. However, this is an opportunity for both parents to come together to teach their kids the beauty and diversity of their roots.
      2. Safety Concerns About Nigeria
It’s important to acknowledge the challenges that exist in Nigeria and other African countries. However, we should also highlight the many positive aspects: the rich culture, innovation, and resilience of its people. While safety concerns in certain areas are valid, labeling an entire country or continent as dangerous doesn’t reflect the full picture. There are many safe and welcoming places in Nigeria and across Africa where people live, work, and thrive every day.
      3.Economic Challenges
You touched on the financial barriers that some families face when trying to connect with their African heritage. This is a reality, but it’s also why fostering pride in one’s culture doesn’t always require travel. Sharing stories, learning about traditions, and connecting with communities online or locally can help bridge the gap until a visit is possible.
      4. Stereotypes About Africa
It’s unfortunate that stereotypes like “no light, no food, no water” still persist. These perceptions overlook the incredible progress being made across African nations. Africa is a continent of 54 countries, each with its unique strengths, challenges, and opportunities. From technological hubs like Lagos to cultural landmarks in Kigali and beyond, there’s so much more to Africa than these outdated stereotypes.
      5. Cultural Cooperation in Mixed Marriages
In multicultural families, collaboration is key. Teaching children multiple languages and exposing them to both cultures can enrich their lives and expand their horizons. While challenges may arise, the effort to integrate and celebrate both cultures is always worthwhile.
Ultimately, Africa is a continent filled with potential, beauty, and resilience. Encouraging children to embrace their heritage empowers them to see the best in both worlds and contribute positively wherever they are. Let’s challenge the negative narratives and celebrate the richness of our diverse cultures.
