I so much love your patience and attention to details. Thank you for this refresher course
You're welcome!! Thank you!! Tbh I spent a long time preparing, making and editing these videos lol. I want them to be as detailed as possible
Much needed video you’ve kept it simple enough for us just wanting it for homelab and broke it down with diagrams so we understand what’s going on.
Absolutely amazing keep it up
Thank you very much!! Really appreciate your comment!! Yes my goal is to make a series of videos that's digestible enough to complete the lab with explanation on why we're doing it
Looking forward to this ❤
Thank you for the updated video.
My pleasure!

Thank you for doing this 🥰
You’re welcome 😊 more home lab videos to come!!
@@EastCharmer Its always a pleasure to listen/watch your videos because I love your step by step style and your contents are very informative. This video came timely as I was thinking of how to set up a home lab to do some practice
Quick question: With things going in the cloud, are you going to be coming up with videos that provides a step by step process to set up a lab for cloud?
@@nanapoku5259 Thank you and really appreciate that! I'll be making many more tutorial videos like this soon!
Yes I think after this series I will make some cloud videos too with AWS or Azure. Maybe after I've recertified my AWS cert. I'll also throw some Linux server stuff and scripting as well
very like and thank you
Thank you! Cheers!
THANKS,
Good video! I appreciate your videos
Please post a server related more videos im eagerly witting ❤😊
Thank you so much! Glad you liked the video!! More server videos to come so please stay tuned!!!
fan from Poland 🎉
Yay!!! Thanks!!
Thx 👍 needs bit of work but helpful non the less 😊
you're welcome!! I know I might be missing some more stuff but I'll be making more videos about AD and Windows server
we want complete playlist step by step ❤
Yes definitely!!! This is the first video for the Active Directory Set up step by step and next would be setting up GPO , File and print server, DNS and more!!
@@EastCharmer ❤ Love You Mam
@@EastCharmer That kind of stuff would be great to learn at a hands on level. Thank you so much for all the knowledge that you share. I think you are the best IT related channel on youtube.
@@lanemeyer77 Yeah I think so too! I think it's easier to learn the concepts when you're doing the application like labs. you're very welcome and I'm really happy to share. It gives me a purpose in doing something worthwhile. I'm not sure if I'm the best but thank you anyway! I need to add more advanced stuff too like scripting, linux, cloud and security
Bro she’s still learning com on now
Love your channel from Paris... You motivated me to take the Google it support and Cisco ccst networking certifications :)
Happy to hear that! Goodluck on passing your certs!! Making videos also motivates me to learn more!
@@EastCharmer i already have it :)
Amazing video, you should do more on Windows server administration and potentially how to be a Windows Sys Admin
Thank you!! Yes I'm planning to cover more Windows Server soon!
Lovin these videos... Pls make video on setting up dhcp, dns, and web blocking and all other domain control features for windows server
Thank you so much!! Really glad you liked these videos. I'll make more videos on those topics next and maybe add scripting and backup too
thanks
You're welcome!
Thanks beautiful East Charmer
You’re welcome 😊!!!
Very nice po Mam.
Thank you!
I'm gonna definitely going to save this. I am currently a system admin but do not know how to start from scratch. Usually, it's higher-ups who manage this task. This is headache
Oh yeah that's true. I've never setup anything from scratch at work too. It's already setup. It's a good project to show if you apply to be a senior
I always been assumed that windows server needs a huge resource, even as a virtual machine. but, you just showed that it could be installed by the same resource as linux as vm, 20 GB for storage and 2 GB for memory/RAM. nice vid!
Thank you! Well you're right! Windows is usually heavy on resources (that's why I'm not a big fan) but for practice lab, minimum resources are good enough to get started
I found you so pretty. Anyway thank you doing this
Oh thank you!
please make more videos on active directory.
More videos to come!!
iam your big fan From Pakistan 🎉
Wow! Thank you! I really appreciate it!!
OMG!! Finally Thank you so much😍
Yay! You're welcome 😊 more videos to come!!
Thank you very much for the video. It was super interesting and informative. I have a challenge for you. Build a domain controller on a Windows Server 2022 Core, incl. DHCP and DNS. And as an additional task, integrate a second DC server core. Thank you
You're welcome!!! More videos on Windows server to come! ooohhhh great ideas! I'll accept the challenge once I finish making this Basic AD project series
Hopefully you will setup 2 DCs with sync.
Will do that when I'm done with the basic setup! Also planning to make a video on upgrading the forest Server as well
I have a few suggection. 1. use the Ctrl+Alt+Inst instead, it will send Ctrl+Alt+Del to VM. it is easy to press "any key" during on CD boot prompt. 2. install Vmware Tool after the os installation will got the better screen resolution😃
Thanks!! Yes I forgot to add those in video. Yeah it's easy to press any key prompt but it gets missed easily when you're not paying attention coz it happened to me so it's also good to know if someone encounters it
@@EastCharmer it is not a good design on UEFI🥲
Should we check the hash before installing?
East Charmer,
Hi East Charmer,
I wanted to thank you for your insightful video-it truly helped me understand the I.T. work culture better. I have an idea for a potential collaboration that could be beneficial for both of us: preparing a demo of Type 1 hypervisors, such as vSphere or Proxmox, and networking them. The installation of three virtual servers on the Type 1 hypervisor, include Windows Server 2022 as the primary OS MACHINES--> AD/DC DNS, DHCP, and the File Server Resource Manager.
For context, I am currently enrolled in the Cybersecurity Network Engineering program at Valencia College here in Florida. We’ve been focusing on Linux, particularly RHEL, given its increasing importance over the next five years.
I look forward to the possibility of working together and learning from your expertise.
Best regards,
The Cyber-Associate | Lifetime Learner🤓
Hello there! You are very welcome! and I'm really glad you find this video useful! Yes I am open for collaboration and those are great ideas for a project!!
@@EastCharmer Great🤓I have all the Labs for Install and Config Windows Server and I will be taking Administering Windows Server in Fall 2024 along with Linux Networking and Security. We can brainstorm soon.
Hi eastcharmer, please do a test login to other pc once you done creating a users on your AD server. ty
Yes will do! I'll do that on another video and also with a test computer
Nice tutorial mam. Can you create po yung may user na mag jo join like for example may new hire sa company po plus its limited access. Advance thank you po.
Thanks! Yes the next videos and lab will be about that
Where to place the login script?
hi @eastcharmer just wanted to ask when I install the winserver2022 on vmware there's an option that not included in your video. What should i choose on firmware type? is it BIOS or UEFI? TNX
hhmm how do you install the ISO? did you do it through the CD/DVD(SATA) and select Choose an ISO?
@@EastCharmer i already fixed it tnx charm
I've tried to register an account from the provided link... But I can't find the WMware workstation pro to download.. The site has different or new features already. I'm lost.. Help
Ok so after you register open the link again and scroll down to the bottom under resolution you would see the download link for Workstation Pro, if you don't see that. let me know what you see
Ccna or juniper which is best
for certification? honestly I don't have experience with Juniper so I'm not that familiar. However, CCNA is a solid cert and they will also teach you the fundamental networking protocols so I think once you learn CISCO, it will be easier to learn other networking concepts
My windows server iso does not install GUI it’s installing the core version. It doesn’t even give me an option to choose anything. Am I doing anything wrong? Anyone else facing this issue? Can you please share the link for the download?
I added the link for ISO download at the description. Can you try that? Should be the x64
@@EastCharmer hey! Thank you, I was able to install it successfully. I'm using Virtual Box and I had to check the Skip Unattended Installtion option while configuring the VM. This solved the issue.
Minimum RAM required for Lab Setup??
2GB is min for the VM
Never do .local
Always do (subdomain).your company’s domain name
Yes but this is practice lab
Our domain at school is .local
