Gonna put this here since lots of people are asking! This DOES count as a weapon for sorrow! You only have to complete crota (the boss) to get the necrochasm as we tested it with my friend yesterday who didn’t complete any other section in the raid.
Honestly, the only thing I "dislike" about this gun is that Zen Moment was removed from it. Sure it has basically max stability, but zen moment reduces screen shake *and* gives a ton of flinch resist. Might have been too good of a gun if it had Zen Moment though. Probably would have been one of the best primaries for controller while also being great on M&K
@@papaspauldingZen Moment stacks with high stability to make it even more of a laser and give even more flinch resist. Also way less screen shake, which is the thing that made Hard Light unusable. When Hard Light's screenshake was reduced, it became meta (and was then nerfed into the ground).
Pretty clever solution to keep the fast RPM without making it a problem in pvp. The cursed thrall explosion auto reloads and triggers the perk, so in pve that's pretty much permanent uptime, in pvp you will always need the kill first.
From the gameplay ive seen its seems nechrocasms explosions also spread poison. This means we can have 4 effects from a single precision final blow. 2 from nechrocasm (explosion and poison), 1 from chromatic fire, and suspend from mindspun invocation on warlock.
All the catalyst does is give it Outlaw which is lame cause the CTE’s kills refill the mag. They should make it where you don’t need precision kills for the explosions and give it a good boost to range.
the challenges are actually pretty easy. the first clear will easily be longer since youre learning but assuming you have it down after finishing then its not too bad

Actually, this thing DOES fire as fast as Tarrabah. Both start at 720 RPM, then can ramp it up to 900 with Ravenous Beast and Desperation Respectively.
I beat cross with my team through lanterns by like 30 mins then got stuck on bridge for like 4 hours and fell behind him by a lot finished deathsingers then spent the entire day Saturday trying to beat Crota and couldn’t do it bc my teammates left after three wipes at Crota then couldn’t even find a team to get past getting to the damage phase much less completing final stand which I got to 4 different times on different teams which people left when we failed… awful day 1 experience tbh but it is what it is I’m gonna have to do this awful raid more to get necro and catalyst.
We didn’t do contest lol we managed to make the game think contest was still on because shortly a few minutes after reset we beat Crota and necrochasm dropped for all of us😅
Necro might be good with the warlock chest piece chromatic fire, I’m pretty sure it stacks like any other aoe perk, anyone know if it synergizes with necrotics?
i think it won't synergize because necro's explosion are too fucking strong, it insta deleates everything in it's radius, and it covers more area than basically any explosion perk outside of sunshot

Sucks for me I don’t have time to do raids to get good gear, got 2 kids so usually only get an hour to an hour and a half game time… love this game but I just don’t have time to do raids

I know on 450's at least if you can get up to 95+ stability the difference between that and zen moment on controller isn't too much

Necro is really fun with Chromatic Fire in PVP, if they are close to each other it's just a free kill, if you get the explosions off.
