- Travel with the train driver as we journey from Nullawil to Wycheproof in the north west of the state of Victoria, Australia on an R class steam locomotive. This is a unique line for Victoria as the line runs down the middle of the main street when it arrives at Wycheproof. September 2023

I did that trip with a sick guy back in 2018/19. It was one of his last he did, before he died of cancer! It was wonderful & the ABC were there, and we were all photographed! It was a memorable day for both of us! He thought Sea Lake was a “super city” but all it had was a few shops! He was disappointed about that! ☺

G'day, my Grandparents lived in Wycheproof and as a kid when visiting we would run down to main street and be fascinated that the Train ran down the middle of the road and you could get so close some people would drag us back thinking the train would suck us under, cheers mate,love every video, I'm old enough to have travel on Steam Trains around Victoria when l was a kid with Mum & Dad, Neil.
It was a different world back then. It would be great to be able to experience some of those days again. 👍😊

Wycheproof is my favourite town along the line because it's situated in the centre of the Calder Hwy

No, I don't actually drive the steam engines, just diesels, locomotives, vlocity, derm etc.

If you keep an eye on the websites of the groups, you will be able to see when they plan these trips. Steamrail and 707ops are two that run these up here. 👍😊
