- Low pressure zones will again affect the southern states of Australia this week, but QLD will also get heavy rain in the form of easterlies.
The southern states have a few low pressure zones tracking by, the biggest one coming into WA this week, then tracking eastwards this weekend.
While not everyone will get the relief they so desperately need this is yet another significant silver lining with rainfall totals between 10 and 40mm for a number of places, and some may go above and beyond that too.
We try to break it all down for you.
Our next update will be on Thursday.
Thanks Phil rather watch you than the BOM.
Cheers from SA
Definitely uggboots and duffel coat weather now thanks Phil. It’s pretty cold specially the nights. Winter has arrived😁
Cheers and thank you for the rain forecast👌🤣
Thanks Phil, I can do my washing and get it dry. Hi from Sydney.
Well for us in NSW it looks like Saturday won't be as cold if we are getting northerly winds for a pleasant change. Most unusual for us to get wind from the north & at this time of the year they shouldn't be as cold. Thankfully I had a two hour eye specialist appointment today & they had warm air blowing through, much warmer than my home, so a pleasant place to while away the time. Though when I think about it, it did cost me over $100 to enjoy!! 🤣🤣🤣
Great work Phil getting -5 mornings in Glen Innes NSW
Hi Phil. You were spot on with that Cairns weather for me. Sunny 27 everyday. Beautiful 😍 Then I broke my leg and ankle on Fitzroy Island 😏😔 Cyclone Jasper had pushed the coral right up onto the beach and it was piled up higher than usual and very uneven to walk on.... thus... snap. The weather remained great while I was in the resort lol. I got a wheelchair and managed to still get out and about in Cairns and have a great time. I'll be back at another time of the year again, so I'll wait for your good advice down the track. Thanks again 😉❤️
Great thorough report Phil. It's been cold in CQ and the place is looking a little dry.
Actually looking forward to a drop or two to fill the tanks.
Hey Phil, thanks heaps for showing the Air Pressure map that gives us a look at what's going on between Tassie and Antarctica.
Love your work guys. Phil's a brilliant frontman.
Thanks again team
Cheers for another forecast, always a pleasure getting it here, even when it looks grim.
While you're in the sim, give us a big huff and a puff and blow some of that rain further in-land. 😃
Very happy for WA and those green/yellow blobs sweeping in off the Indian Ocean. I used to live in Perth ... how many ways can you spell d.r.y.
Here in Sydney we want those dry days a little bit more.
Another quality explanation, Phil.
All the best WA, Tassie and NSW and Vic, love our kiwi mates, love from QLD.
Hi Phil and Crew,,, well here comes winter. It's sure been colder where i live but dry. Looks like that's changing so may get tank water tank full. Cheers once again to you all and stay safe. Chris (Miriam Vale CQ Queensland)
Phil. Thank you so much. God bless and see you on Thursday. Have a blessed week.
Thanks Phil. Definitely a dry start to winter so far, but still cold. Looking forward to Spring!
Excellent as usual Phil. Thank you.
Thanks phil and the gang. Great work, as usual. From Brisbane
Hi Phil, thanks for the info on the other two weather sites, but your coverage and drill down interpretation of the broader big picture is priceless to understand all the conflicting influences. Keep up the great work. Alan, Lower Barrington 👍

Gday ,Phil, still little to nothing on lower yorkes peninsular mate........can ya grab hold of those yellow and red rain patches and push em northwards a bit thnx.....use two hands if ya have too..getting sick of seeing em slide out south-east
Cheers Phil and team.
Thanks. This is Avery informative channel 👋
Very little rain for Murray bridge South australia as usually we suppose get rain today nothing yet, it's so dry and cold 🥶 here
Since my last comment, we recorded 11.5 mm where I live, but 5kms every direction from here received half of that. Still no feed growing for my sheep, and the D word is still just as strong. It seems that anywhere east of the ranges in SA will receive less than 10mm again. The centres of the lows are still level with Tasmania, and therefore, the northern and eastern areas will probably miss out.
Definitely Drought here too, just north of Melbourne. Cattle. Crossing fingers for us ALL.
Haven't seen a week of rain forcast for NW Tassie like that for over a year.
Thanks again Philip & co
Thank you.

Great show as always, Thank you! One little heads up: It’s Northern Territory and not Northern Territories. I noticed this before but thought you just misspoke. Keep up the great work! Cheers! Jan

What are the squiggly lines on the map? They look a bit like rivers but aren’t. Nor are they geographic or jurisdictional boundaries, or weather forecast districts, or contour lines, or even Aboriginal language delineations! They must mean something
Rivers / drainage areas. (even if dry)
@@WeatherWatchTV Really?? This just doesn’t seem plausible. As someone very familiar with inland and especially eastern Western Australia, they look very unlikely as drainage areas.
The Nullarbor Plain in SE WA and western SA is pretty much all limestone with a very thin layer of top soil (if any topsoil at all), so the water drains downward through the cracks and caves of the limestone cap, not along river or creek lines like in most places, so they look very unlikely there.
For much of the western outback and indeed WA’s eastern wheatbelt, water drains into salt lakes that are either isolated or short chains from which the water evaporates and never actually gets to the sea, or even into a larger river.
I’d really like to see the source data for this, but in any event they are an unnecessary distraction from your otherwise excellent videos.
@@PaulBKal The source is the Australian Government. It's a feature we can switch on or off and we just trialled it once (won't do it again!). It may well be to do with waterways below the surface - as it still drains and fills up, it doesn't sink forever.
@@PaulBKal p.s. Just looked more into it - the name for it is "River regions" - not the same as drainage.
BoM is in denial. It said that winter is going to be warm. Does that mean you can go to the beach on your swimsuits?
Move over fabio, gavin is here now!🎉
😂not on a ball spinning at 1000mph, it's fkn flat wtfu 😂
