This isnt selling out or going mainstream, this is progression. i hate bands that stay in the same rut and basically make the same album every time. this band used to be "ok" in my book, but now i have a lot of respect for them. writing new kinds of music is what makes a band good.
This album is their most consistent. regardless of their change from their other album. This album sticks out more. but especially this song. so Hooking.
Heard this song on a random mix just a sec ago, cuz yes I’m 31 in 2021 and still RUclips “Screamo Mix”, but had to search and come straight to the comments to find the comparisons to ADTR, My Life For Hire in particular, but the best catch was the Emery comparison, Left With Alibies and Lying Eyes. This scene touched Millions it’s crazy. But come one guys, there’s a reason that when people go into depth about the golden years of the Post Hardcore scene, they stop at 2008. EVERYTHING HAD BEEN DONE ALREADY !! There’s only so many rhythms for Chug. Chugga Chug Chug Chug. And only so many vocal patterns for a singer who has similar range as others. And in defense to these guys whom I’d completely forgotten about because I only had so much room in my 16gb iPodShuffle in 2010 for the thousand other bands that pretty much all sounded the same, everybody gets their influences from somewhere. Now we can all agree that no band in their right mind would admit that ADTR is one of their influences, but Emery is a mention that literally anybody can respect. It was so awesome to me in 2005 to see a bunch of 30 something year olds throwing down maybe not harder but better than a lot of their teenie bopper counterparts. And if you’ve made it this far, on this day, please tell me how the universe brought you here. I must know.
Drive, drive, drive, drive, I don’t want to get caught We'll say, we'll say we’re innocent There is enough to prove we are not They will believe anything
@thedanchron i have heard the song fist fight its an amazing song the old drummer that is touring with the ghost inside is the drummer who recorded this album i have seen them live. the new drummer can not keep up and can barely keep time.
This is amazing music, in my opinion. I've liked this band since Changes. Relentless was okay. Only a few songs got my attention off of it. This new album reminds me more of Changes, only with more clean/melodic pieces. Plus the singing isn't that bad. It grew on me. They pull it all off really well. GOOD STUFF.
@chocothunda114 just because they have clean vocals now doesn't mean they sound like a day to remember.. especially since the screaming and singing little to nothing like a day to remember.
@PlanToProsper you know that tom the ex guitar player of adtr recorded this album for them right? im not disagreeing with you but thats why they sound similar
@chocothunda114 No, that's For the Fallen Dreams. and this is what they want to sound like. It's not pop-punk like A Day to Remember. It's post-hardcore.
when i heard this album i was disappointed cuz there first two ablums were amazing espeacially changes but after listening to this album i have to say this is my favorite out of the three.
For those who need lyrics! Please go on with what you have said. I'm not... I'm not listening. Is it that easy to lie in your head? Please stop... Please stop pretending. You'll always ask yourself, Am I dead, am I dead, am I dead? Don't try to fight it off, In your head, in your head, in your head. And when it comes down to it, try and prove it. Try and prove it. Try and prove yourself. It's all in your fucking head, it's all in your head.
Umh..that's how good music works. You have to repeat a chorus in order to make a song catchy. Look at the pop industry. In those songs they repeat a chorus 4 times sometimes. Maybe even more, and it is the catchiest music in the world, and they make a hell of a lot more money.
Listen to Emery- Left With Alibis And Lying Eyes at 0:58 Seconds Now listen to the FTFD song at 0:43 ..........Hmmmmmmm you decide if they are the same
I don't care about this ADTR/FTFD shit... FTFD makes me happy, if anything they are some of the most inspirational lyricists i can think of. I like ADTR too, but nothing will beat FTFD : / my OPINION.
@1headbanger I have to disagree with you, I believe For The Fallen Dreams has been evolving a lot more as a band throughout the year. They are very dinamic while ADTR sounds the same every time.
@iliketosing90 how exactly did they sell out? And if youre gonna have a douchebag attitude towards "selling out", then sucks for you because you are missing out on good music regardless.
ADTR and FTFD are both amazing bands. FTFD has always been a heavier sound than ADTR, but who honestly gives that much of a shit to bash one cause they aren't as heavy as the other when they were never trying to be? Plus neither of these bands are purely "hardcore", Have Heart and Trapped Under Ice, those are "hardcore" genre bands.
ok I like this band but this sounds like they took the Emery song Left With Alibis And Lying Eyes andput break downs in. The chorus' in both song are crazy similar.
ADTR USED to be really good, the release of their last album had only a few good songs, whereas the album before almost every song was a good one. they did take a step back musically. but only so they could make it mainstream.
@FishyButter some ppl cant hear the difference..................lol even though some metalcore band use the same generic guiter riffs and breakdowns i can always tell its a different song and band
Don't mean to interrupt this captivating argument but this is metalcore. True hardcore would be the likes of Vision of Disorder, Biohazard and Agnostic Front.
But it is pretty obvious with his improvement vocally, that the newer stuff would be heavier. They sadly didn't make the newest album as heavy as often, but 2nd sucks or the other really heavy songs blow everything they have ever done out of the water. Perhaps if they recorded the older stuff you might have a chance. But even Mr Highway was done when Jeremy was a much less capable vocalist. He was even worse for the other 2 songs.
@KSE828 they got a new drummer. I found out after I bought ticket to see them arghh I'm a drummer so that really bothered me. he screwed up the whole band at some points of their set too :/ their old drummer is in the ghost inside now LISTEN TO THEM.
Who cares, it is still heavy as crap, and they have that same FTFD sound, but he expanded on his singing (which YES he did do on Relentless) and his voice freaking kills!
@plantoprosper ADTR doesn't suck, they just don't sound generic like this band. At least ADTR doesn't have every song sounding the same. Yes I like ftfd but this cd is just like all their others and the only difference is adding more singing to their shit, its not bad at all. It's just that the whole cd sounds the fucking same. What I'm basically saying is this band gets old quick IMO.
This isnt selling out or going mainstream, this is progression. i hate bands that stay in the same rut and basically make the same album every time. this band used to be "ok" in my book, but now i have a lot of respect for them. writing new kinds of music is what makes a band good.
I love reading 7 year old comments. Man times have changed.
Tyler Gibson lmao same here, always a trip
@@zinnydin2345 now we in 2023, still here for it ;)
I want this album on vinyl. Best FTFD record in my opinion.
2nd 4me..first Relentless...but very close
Not bad, but “changes” is the greatest of ever
This is the song that blends Changes, Relentless and Back Burner all together. Best track on the album
This was the last album I could stand from these guys. Great band.
Heavy hearts the recent one is pretty good too
This takes me back to being 15. Goddamn, revisiting this is bittersweet.
Same i was in my room trying to tune the hell out of my car on Forza 4
my question is why arent these guys much bigger i listen to this album and i love every second of it!!!!
This song gives me the chills every time..
This is my favorite song off of this album.
Best song on the new album...amazing
Love the clean vocals!
This album is their most consistent. regardless of their change from their other album. This album sticks out more. but especially this song. so Hooking.
I've never heard of these guys before but I have to say it's love at first sight!
i seriously cant find a tab for this song anywhere.. iv been searching for like 3 weeks.
This album was one of my favourites of 2011. The new one makes me love this even more. That fucking production...
this band is awesome. great music and fun to listen to.
God I've adored this song and album since its release, thank you boys. So fucking good.
I love this song and deep down inside and brother in arms of course
Drive, drive, drive, drive, I don’t want to get caught
We'll say, we'll say we’re innocent
There is enough to prove we are not
They will believe anything
the best intro song for an album 😘
I LOVE DIZ ZONG♡

@thedanchron i have heard the song fist fight its an amazing song the old drummer that is touring with the ghost inside is the drummer who recorded this album i have seen them live. the new drummer can not keep up and can barely keep time.

Encontrei Neste Album Perdido o Que Queria Achar destes Idolos ..é Legal!
i love that this is more metalcore sounding..... ill be honest i loved them before but they only got better!
GOOD STUFF.
LOVEEEEDDDD CHANGESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS AND NOW I LOVEEEEEE BACK BURNERRRRR
2020?
@chocothunda114 just because they have clean vocals now doesn't mean they sound like a day to remember.. especially since the screaming and singing little to nothing like a day to remember.
The best album!
@Cfletcher1991 How do you go mainstream when the first song in album's breakdown is "My heart is filled with hate"?
@PlanToProsper you know that tom the ex guitar player of adtr recorded this album for them right? im not disagreeing with you but thats why they sound similar
@chocothunda114 No, that's For the Fallen Dreams.
and this is what they want to sound like. It's not pop-punk like A Day to Remember. It's post-hardcore.
13 years ago... time fly too fast
This guy knows how to scream the right way.
when i heard this album i was disappointed cuz there first two ablums were amazing espeacially changes but after listening to this album i have to say this is my favorite out of the three.
Best song on the album. Clean Vox = Win.
@Cfletcher1991 I honestly could never in my life agree more with you.
After this song, I soon realized a warm, white, wet, sticky substance was running down my leg.
This awesome!!!!
Hey mates, please tell me which ftfd songs similar to adtr's songs?
@NickOrPenguin So is For The Fallen Dreams
For those who need lyrics!
Please go on with what you have said.
I'm not... I'm not listening.
Is it that easy to lie in your head?
Please stop... Please stop pretending.
You'll always ask yourself,
Am I dead, am I dead, am I dead?
Don't try to fight it off,
In your head, in your head, in your head.
And when it comes down to it, try and prove it. Try and prove it.
Try and prove yourself.
It's all in your fucking head, it's all in your head.
2018 ♡
Umh..that's how good music works. You have to repeat a chorus in order to make a song catchy. Look at the pop industry. In those songs they repeat a chorus 4 times sometimes. Maybe even more, and it is the catchiest music in the world, and they make a hell of a lot more money.
FINALLLYYYYYY!!!
how did a day to remember get so mainstream?
Lol, why cant everyone jsut love both bands. Melodic Metalcore and Pop/metalcore.
Lyrics?
at 1:09 it sounds like he says "TRY THE MUFFIN! TRY THE MUFFIN!"
._.
i love ftfd..
the chorus in this song sounds exactly the same as the chorus in "left with alibis and lying eyes" by emery
Yeah, total ripoff of Emery.
@1:09 it sounds like he's saying TRY THE MUFFIN. TRY THE MUFFIN.
._.
I love ftfd..
Good song.
Listen to Emery- Left With Alibis And Lying Eyes at 0:58 Seconds
Now listen to the FTFD song at 0:43
..........Hmmmmmmm you decide if they are the same
Muito Rock In Rool Nas Veias
chorus jacked from left with alibis and lying eyes by emery much?
I don't care about this ADTR/FTFD shit... FTFD makes me happy, if anything they are some of the most inspirational lyricists i can think of. I like ADTR too, but nothing will beat FTFD : / my OPINION.
2:00ish to 2:30ish classic FTFD
You got some sick fantasies, bro.
@1headbanger I have to disagree with you, I believe For The Fallen Dreams has been evolving a lot more as a band throughout the year. They are very dinamic while ADTR sounds the same every time.
Here again!
@AJConrady I could've sworn he was taught by jeremy, they sound very similiar
@DonkeyPunchForLunch amen to that man
Michigan Metal!!!!!
00:52 "Smell my finger!" lol
my opinion is tom denney helped record the album thats why i think they did cleans
@xFaNofMusiCx1 Joey Sturgis produced Relentless and Jeremy didn't teach him how to scream.
There's nothing wrong with a band experimenting with new sounds.
I cant see the resemblence between ADTR and FTFD. The Only similarity is that they are both fucking awesome.
@duper831 FTFD is part of a sub-genre of hardcore: Melodic Hardcore. big deal
@PlanToProsper Homesick is one of the best albums of all time.
@iliketosing90 how exactly did they sell out? And if youre gonna have a douchebag attitude towards "selling out", then sucks for you because you are missing out on good music regardless.
@braydenneuens
You sir, win the internet.
....you got a macbook with secret unreleased songs for sale?
ADTR and FTFD are both amazing bands. FTFD has always been a heavier sound than ADTR, but who honestly gives that much of a shit to bash one cause they aren't as heavy as the other when they were never trying to be?

"Try and prove yourself."
ok I like this band but this sounds like they took the Emery song Left With Alibis And Lying Eyes andput break downs in. The chorus' in both song are crazy similar.
@Dissimulatex Cool story bro.. tell it again?
Core parts : Resembles ADTR a little; The rest: No
ADTR USED to be really good, the release of their last album had only a few good songs, whereas the album before almost every song was a good one. they did take a step back musically. but only so they could make it mainstream.
Funny you thought this many years ago but now ADTR isn’t good at all
Actually his screams do remind me of Jeremy. They sound similar, but FTFD is completely original.
@guitar05011 Lol, I actually just missed the 3 key. My bad, wasn't looking at the screen.
Same exact vocal rhythm and maybe even the same melodic contour. Good catch.
@FishyButter some ppl cant hear the difference..................lol
even though some metalcore band use the same generic guiter riffs and breakdowns i can always tell its a different song and band
Don't mean to interrupt this captivating argument but this is metalcore. True hardcore would be the likes of Vision of Disorder, Biohazard and Agnostic Front.

Mr.Highway, A Shot In The Dark, and Heartless are all heavier than 2nd sucks.
@ElliotSaysStuff And I think Jeremy produced Relentless oh and Jeremy taught this guy how to scream
Fucking awesome
@KSE828 they got a new drummer. I found out after I bought ticket to see them arghh I'm a drummer so that really bothered me. he screwed up the whole band at some points of their set too :/ their old drummer is in the ghost inside now LISTEN TO THEM.
@taylorade08 haha dude, it's EXACT. but i'm sure they didnt mean to.
@xFaNofMusiCx1 growls sound diffrent for everybody
2018.
Bellaenna Baratheon 20 fucking 18. 🤘🏼
Hell yeah bruh
You people are ignorant. ADTR and FTFD are both awesome bands.
also this song has SOO many un-needed sub drops its unreal, theres one every time the verse kicks in lol and it's delayed
Who cares, it is still heavy as crap, and they have that same FTFD sound, but he expanded on his singing (which YES he did do on Relentless) and his voice freaking kills!
holy shit
@plantoprosper ADTR doesn't suck, they just don't sound generic like this band. At least ADTR doesn't have every song sounding the same.
