The sound engineer on this dropped the ball bigtime. Can barely hear the keys before the rest of the band even starts, then they get drowned out from then on.
I'm pretty sure the sound engineer is also just a student .. as I think it goes for almost anything in this. Background singers can't be heard at all .. base player not very much either .. and the drums are WAY to hard miced up on the main drums. BUT, this could also be the case of the recording device not being connected to the feed from the stage .. but just an external mic picking it up from a far.
I'm 50 years old and I found it amusing, in a nice way, that only one male member had really long hair,. Heck one of them was even wearing an Hawaian style shirt.!! In other words it was great to see today's kids playing one of the best rock songs from my teenage years.
I wish I'd been able to get better audio, but yes, every single video on my channel was recorded live. No post recording sweetening, in every case it sounded like that in the room.
