    Tactical Phrases while Reviving/Bandaging: “Hey, make sure you’re good on ammunition while I heal you.”
    “I threw smoke in the direction of the enemy.”
    “Guy that I’m 49 Meters from, I’m on the way!….Aww damnit I died” (if I die)
    *checks map before reviving a Squad Lead* “Hey, Squad Lead I’m reviving? Your outpost is gone, might want to get a new one ASAP”
    “DO NOT GIVE UP, the spawn nearby is gone!”
    Voice chat and a microphone is ESSENTIAL to be a good medic.

    Hey Gabatron, great video. I think one thing you forgot to mention is when there is mass casualties in one are it is best for medic’s to revive as many players as possible instead of bandaging the last player you just revived. I’ve seen this happen a lot we’re medics will bandage the last player that they’ve revived in will get gun down by lack of firepower from the team. I’ve noticed that if a lot of my teammates are down in one area I will try to revive as many as possible to have fire support and then focus on bandages. Great content by the way. Also I think you’ve might have mentioned it before in one of your videos but I learned that the medic also reduces suppression by the enemy if your close to one.

      Agreed. I think 2 medics single handedly turned the tide of a defensive match on the last objective when I was in this game.. They and I told each person to bandage themselves more than 80% of the time, and often when they got revived they would shoot before bandaging because circumstance dictates necessity. Good comment.

    I play competitive and public games quite a bit, and here's my thoughts:
    In a competitive game, where you will virtually always have a nearby outpost and a shitload of garrisons, someone dying isn't a big deal because they'll be back in the fight in a minute and a half. In these situations, a medic is a waste of a potential combat role. In a public game, there may be three garrisons, one is being camped, one is too far away, so only one is relevant and half the team is running around without outposts. In these situations a single medic can sustain momentum in an attack of several squads over hundreds of meters, or can help clutch the defense of a hard cap. I play medic all the time in public games but I don't touch it in competitive games.

      What if there are mass casualties in battle and you need to revive some of your team so the point won’t get over run ? You make a good point but I honestly think it’s better to have them than to not have them at all.

      Due to there being no server browser on console and there being a general lack of communication sometimes, the medic is vital to hold an objective or sustaining an attack, my medic is a far higher level than other roles as I use it so often to such success

      Would a medic that sticks in the thick of a fight help his team maintain a stronger presence in the long run? If a team has a medic and the enemy team doesnt, his team will have faster revives assuming he doesnt die, which he should be doing anyways. Also a medic is a great attacker buffer since in a coordinated attack he can bring downed soldiers faster, therefore maintaining the attack literally alive.

    I love playing the medic class, one of my favorites, I find almost no one uses this class, and when people do, they use it as just an infantry unit and don't ever revive anyone, and I also find since people don't hardly use medic, everyone just bleeds out before I can get to them even after communicating with them telling them I'm coming

    It may be a bit overlapping with some other points, but I'd also add: plan your retread: When going for the revive, plan your movement along cover, try to revive out of cover and know how to get back into cover as fast as possible. While reviving also say to the downed player to get to the cover you selected and bandage there, as there could still be enemies watching him.

    Good job with the guide and mad respect for addressing where the medic isn't as useful.
    I'm still in camp 'medic is useless' (personally I prefer the term 'too situational') and I'd love them to at least get a decent amount of ammo but I can certainly say that playing medic is a lot of fun. It's also a good starting role since it provides an individual achievable goal that doesn't require any knowledge of how sectors work and such.
    My best advice that hasn't been covered in the video: don't get mad when people give up when you're close. For some it has just become muscle memory to hit escape and redeploy. In some cases the medic indicator is on top or bottom of the screen (I forgot which) and the distance is hidden. My personal rule is that if a medic isn't within 20 m, he may as well be on the other side of the map. All the more reason to directly address players, to remind them that you're on the way.
    Also some moraly ambiguous players won't hesitate to throw a nade at a friendly body if they feel an enemy is somewhere close to them. Be aware of that... also sorry in advance because it was probably me ;)

      It is highly situational, but those situations do happen regularly in public games. I wish I would have put something in the vid regarding not getting frustrated with people giving up. I don’t mind when people do it, but if you are going to give up and see a medic heading your direction you really should let them know as to not waste their time. I’ll hold on for a medic at about 60-70m if they are heading towards me, but if at 50m I don’t hear back from them I usually give up. Communication is way more important to the medic role than most people think. Thanks for your input!

    How can ANYONE flak the medic? The most game changing role of any game? It's literally one of THE most important things of any shooter game. Hell, Battlefield have amazing Medics who go through hell to revive his team. But they're not as tactical about the approach as Hell Let Loose is. But even still, in a tactical game like Hell Let Loose, a medic is a game changer. He's the reason why you're not in the spawn menu picking your next spawn point. And why your seconds are spent more in the battle than in the menu. Medics are lifesavers. And I thank the medics anytime I get revived and back in the fight. They are the literal bandage of the team.

    • @DJWolfHouse
      @DJWolfHouse 7 месяцев назад

      …it’s widely considered the worst role in the game for good reason.
      I guess you could argue for automatic rifleman as well.
      Low ammo with a bad gun. Manpower losses don’t matter. Someone tested it and it’s faster and safer on average to redeploy instead of waiting for a revive. The best part of medic is the smoke grenade tbh. Bandage box is a joke.
      Half of players deaths don’t even result in getting downed. And half of those are not in a position to be revived. And half of those should and probably will redeploy without waiting for you anyway.
      Useless class? No? The worst? Probably. An automatic rifleman is probably going to kill a lot more enemies than the medic saves.
      At the end of the day play for fun but don’t pretend medic is good or game changing. There’s very few medics anyways. You could remove them and the game wouldn’t change much at all. I don’t even think I’d notice. Nice for RP though.

    Great guide; as Corpsman i use to stick to my squad, usually behind the SL and the Support guy to be an extra pair of eyes for 'em and a bit of extra cover too, or... with the MG if the SL it's at the assault. Not be seen it's the best for the Corpsman, leave those white helmets at home... prone and prone and static should be your default/mandatory possitions, the proximity chat and the smoke are your best friends or resources to do your job; and be extra carefull on the move and in movement, use hard covers and never be ahead of your semi or full auto weapons. Also, idk if it has changed on the U12... but one of the benefits of have a Corpsman on your team is or was, that the suppression effect on your squad mates lasted less and was smaller; i began as Corspman but switched to support quickly, i like to have garrisons, AT guns and repair stations when i check out my map more than i like to see alive squad team mates, but the Corpsman it's a good role imo if you go for terrain domination/defense and if you go with care and four eyes.

    I wish Manpower also counted as Spawn Tickets. It would also encourage people to keep nodes on the map.

    • @GebatronGaming
      @GebatronGaming  Год назад

      I understand why BM didn't want to do tickets, but I would like it if your deaths had a larger impact on the manpower resource. Right now it doesn't really matter if you are hemorrhaging deaths as long as there is a node or two built. This has lead to a 'meta' where players more or less yeet themselves. I understand they didn't want to remake Post Scriptum, but they have made a system that doesn't really have any negative consequences to death. It keeps the pace of the game high but that seems to be what people like about it. I agree more with you though.

    • @johnmaurer3097
      @johnmaurer3097 Год назад

      @@GebatronGaming maybe they could increase the spawn timer if you die many times very quickly or are low on nodes. Some of these maps dragging on for 90 minutes are terrible. There should be a way to overrun the enemy through deaths. Current meta is land grabbing - deaths mean nothing, it’s all about finding and clearing garrisons and OPs

    Hey Gabatron.
    I was wondering if you knew or could find out whether the precision strike will destroy default garrisons on the offensive game mode?
    I play on console where we have no server browser. As a result about 2/3 games played are offensive game mode.
    Precision strike is coming soon with update 12, and having the ability to air strike default garrisons will have a massive impact on how the majority of console games are played.

    • @GebatronGaming
      @GebatronGaming  2 года назад

      Hello! No the precision air strike does not destroy default garrisons. Default garrisons, at least as of writing this, must be taken down by hand.

    • @varnishvarnish
      @varnishvarnish 2 года назад +1

      Great, thank you.
      In addition to manual dismantlement, a satchel charge will destroy a default garrison.
      From what I've seen the precision strike looks like an airdropped satchel charge so I assumed it'd also take down the default garrisons.

    • @GebatronGaming
      @GebatronGaming  2 года назад

      You’re right. I was wrong. Satchels do destroy default garrisons. Rockets do not and neither do any air attacks. My guess is that it’s this way so you can’t just know where they are and destroy them remotely.

    The BIGGEST drawback for a medic is that I don't get my grenades back if I am revived. Even if there is a medic 15 meters away, most of the time I will respawn just for the grenades /smokes. Make a tier 3 medic that combines supply class, let him drop a grenade box as well. It takes more time for me to run around looking for an ammo box, IF a supply guy dropped one, than just respawn and come back

      Currently manpower is only used for commander orders. You’re right that HLL does not have a ticket system, which would greatly increase the medic’s usefulness, but whenever a player dies it drains manpower. This would be great and function similar to a ticket system but because there is a base resource gain of +30/min it’s really hard to lose enough manpower to effect the commander in any meaningful way.
