  • Here's my take on the strongest start you can immediately have in a fresh hardmode save.
    With sales happening on Steam and other platforms, now is as good of time as any to get into Snowrunner. Get yourself some year passes or even just season 8 and have a much easier time starting off!

    Don't forget to add stickers to trucks before selling it. The free stickers add a few thousand bucks in truck value. hard mode sell price: Scout with stickers $9450, Scout without stickers $6350. $3100 bonus...

    This is a good approach, mine is head to alaska first, get the ANK, then the 745C, then the derry longhorn 3194. All while grabbing upgrades on the map. Also if you have season 9 there is a cat forklift about 90 secs from the garage that pays 70k on hard mode.

    I think that you will save more fuel, if you pull the repair trailer to damaged Fleetstar. But as I saw on another video, all upgrades mounted on damaged truck decrease the amount of repair cost. Most important thing is that you can play as you want to! Just have fun! :)

    • @theoriginalzinng
      @theoriginalzinng  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah I like the other method of just upgrade hunting first and just replacing all the busted pieces in the garage

    I went a different path for my start. Unlocked and sold the P16, unlocked and sold the twinsteer, unlocked and sold the caterpillar and longhorn from alaska, and all the other vehicles I found, aside from the scout 800 and the starting chevy, and bought myself a mastodon. That thing just dominates everything in the game. And I still haven't bought a single drop of fuel in michigan, the place is full of free fuel tankers. I later bought an azov atom as well, I'll use it as a fuel tanker to transfer fuel between the regions.

    • @theoriginalzinng
      @theoriginalzinng  2 месяца назад

      not everybody has all of those dlc but thats a great start as well, possibly a little too easy using a mastadon but if you only had one truck, thats the one haha

    • @simeonbairaktaris4092
      @simeonbairaktaris4092 2 месяца назад

      @@theoriginalzinng Yeah, you dont really need the atom, but the mastodon is a must have DLC in my opinion. It is basically what a lot of trucks should be. It's pretty much the only truck that I never bothered tweaking, aside from the fuel capacity which I made realistic.

    what i like to do is use the fleetstar to rush the p16 in michigan and use that to make quick work of all the early contracts there and rescue good trucks like the twinsteer and white western star, head to lake kovd with the p16 and yoink the f750 and have that then go get its awd and tuned custom suspension. it can run with the 5.0v6 thats next to the twinsteer until you go to unlock the v10 and imandra garage with the white western star. then you can rush the amur missions with the p16 and awd twinsteer to be able to yoink the ziks 605r using the maxd out f750 with all its repair points. then rest of the game should be ez pz. going to alaska to grab the big cat trug and then getting its fuel tanker is optional but helpful to have it as a rescue truck in amur.

    is it possible to play HC without jumping from map to map? i have only the basic game, but however i dont like that kind of jumping -playing, i wont start a new map if i didnt finish the 1st one, for example michigan, so if dont have crane is it worth to pay for load?

    • @theoriginalzinng
      @theoriginalzinng  4 месяца назад +1

      You don’t need the large crane, you can buy a mini crane for your trucks to load cargo after a few missions and it will pay itself off in Michigan or you can just use your money to autoload. There is no right way to play, only the way that you enjoy the most 😃

    Ms. Lexa Black has a guide where you can get the K-700, the Mastodon, KW963, and almost fully upgraded Voron AE within two hours on hard mode. When I grow up I want to be just like her😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 12:16

    • @theoriginalzinng
      @theoriginalzinng  7 месяцев назад +1

      I do like my Vorons :D This is similar and quick. I forgot we could actually just sell the mudflaps on the fleetstar and go immediately after getting the scout. Don't even need tasks

      Happened to be checking other runs, and saw this comment. You're too kind, Friday. 😆
      Now, to be clear to anyone reading this, my best time on hard so far while specifically shooting for buying the Mastodon as soon as possible is 1h 44m 50s (pausing the Livesplit timer only for load screens or a pause menu, due to everyone's hardware or mods altering load times). I might be able to improve on that a couple ways. Have the footage still, just haven't bothered to upload anywhere.
      Unlocking the Kenworth 963 would be around an additional 12-13 minutes if going the way I do (not counting grabbing the engine upgrade), and if the Mastodon decides to snag its nose on terrain while fetching the scout fuel trailer. Getting the Voron AE is about a 4-5 minute drive with the Mastodon. So... roughly 2h 02m, give or take. Add a bit more, if in Taymyr deciding to grab a second Tayga 6436 after buying the Mastodon. Very quick rescue.
      If not aiming for the Mastodon specifically, that certainly shortens time investment, since it's a pricey truck in game. Can just about afford two more Kenworth 963s for what it costs, if I remember right.

      @@TheLexaBlack that’s impressive. The mastadon is what 212k or so? So yeah that’s a lot of blasting mission for that first bit I bet haha

      @@theoriginalzinng Thanks, it's certainly an adventure. 😆
      The base Mastodon is $228,400, which isn't cheap. On top of that, if you want the most out of it, you're actually going to be spending $267,000.
      That doesn't include deployment costs tradeoffs to get to that amount and buy it, or if spending on a recovery for a time save (ex. in that run, drive to the P16 to sell is long enough one way). Also not included in that cost, a sideboard bed (+ $4,900) or flatbed (+ $4,200), but should already have a free one off the GMC MH9500. Which at least means you can start hauling stuff if autoloading. Also, that doesn't include the cost for a loading crane (+ $5,700). All of that bought outright, that's more like $276,900-277,600 depending on which of the beds bought (not counting its 3 slot bed, since no crane or trailer pull option with it).
      But if grabbing the free Voron AE, that saves on the cost of a loading crane, and you also get another truck out of it. It only really needs better tires and a bumper to protect the headlights, and can repair it with a free service trailer, free fuel isn't too far either.
