I have a fx4100 with a r9 270x lying around and want to give to a friend so that he could play some league of legends. Do you think the fx4100 could deliver over 60fps all the time. Im afraid that pos cant handle it but I dont want to gift him a i5 2400 or xeon w3550. :D
We believe the amd fx cpu does actually fit the am3 socket. The cpu itself will most likely will not work though some boards may support am3+ CPUs that are am3 motherboard. This most likely will be limited to the fx quad series cpu. Best to check your motherboard manufacturers website. Check cpu support there. If it does support it you will most likely need a bios update anyway. We have not looked at genshin in a little while. But we do think that with low settings and running your resolution at 1280x720 you should get something playable. The hd7670 is about half as fast as the hd7770, your best bet is to give it ago. Fortunately the game is free so it's just a download. Have you tired turning HD textures off in the epic menu options for fortnight, Also there is a performance rendering mode (next to dx11 and dx12). This might be able to help you out.

Probably the best CPUs you can get for the FM2 platform would be the way to go. Which will be, the a10-6800k, a10-6790k, a8-6600k, Athlon II x4 760k or a10-6700. They should be similar performance to an i3 2120. We hope that helps. What CPU are you currently running?
Unfortunately it is a bit of difficult platform to navigate. There are other top tier chips that are supported on FM2. But it's really hard to find performance data and to make it more confusing Pile Drive / Bulldozer.. the architecture that these chips run off don't act so predictably across different benchmarks. The really are a strange beast. other chips that you could look at are... A10 7890k, 10 7870k, A10 7860k But according to the bench mark site we like to reference (www.userbenchmark.com) they did not do as well as the a10-6800k, a10 6790k. We did try to run PUBG. We could not get the game to work unfortunately. It basically would not start. PUBG Lite might give us a different outcome though. PUBG maybe something we may try to work out for another video on this platform. Thanks for watching.
We manage to get PUBG to run. It took like 20 mins to get in. First run we died from drowning before we got out of the load screen into the map. The Second time we landed on land and did not die being in the loading screen (thou we were soon shot). We were getting 15fps on the lowest details @ 1280x720. input lag was 10+ seconds . The game one this cpu is unplayable. It's weird... But that's just how the fx 4100 is some games run awesome some games run trash and it's hard to pick. We do have the fx 8120 somewhere laying around. We will make a video with this CPU at some stage and we will be seeing if pubg runs then. Thank you.

Can i use FX on standard am3 board? Not am3+. Its for my cctv pc, the amd phenom II is dead i need cheap replacement

Can i replace the gpu for gtx 550 ti? Is it ok?
A gtx 550 ti is slower than the hd7770.
A gtx 660 might be a better option.
