- Making my leather watch strap for classical PRIM watch. Probably with no proper tools.
The design is focused on comfort and simplicity as well, thus the one hole, one button stud (I can't get fatter any more now) and simple one piece strap to wrap my wrist.
Sure there are many things that should have been done better like stitching, dealing with edges, even cutting and making holes and more and more. It was sort of learning and practicing to me and I wanted one simple and comfortable strap that will last so I made one.
At the end it may seem a bit tight on my hand but believe me it's not. I've been wearing it daily for few months now and it's very comfortable.
Hope you enjoy the video and big thanks for waching and commenting.

Wow! Leather working, wood working, and metal working all in one video. This may be the best video on RUclips.
Thank you Sam! Not much of a wood working though :)
Same feeling, I'm fed up with all those 99% overquipped DIYers/makers/wood-metalworkers. DIY is doing things with shoestrings and skill, thats why you deserve more followers. Congrats, sincerely, you rock !
More videos like this, pleaaase !! 👍😉
Thank you, more videos are coming but slooowly, it's a bit time consuming... I'll do my best to release one soon ;).
I absolutely love the experts in the comments love to see the hustle man .
Glad to see I’m not the only one who thins entire strips of leather like that!
I’m impressed you made the stud yourself!
All of the hand tool work that went into just the button is just amazing. Awesome "simple" work
Thank you, Karl.
Great work and with no power tool's awesome
Absolutely cool, you had me hanging on with admiration and a little bit of envy,.) beautiful DIY.
That is awesome!! Great job!!
The Best DIY with basic hand tools.. Great Job bro..
Thank you. I appreciate that.
My goodness. I can't believe you made that using such rudimentary tools (an Opinel for god's sake lol). You have an incredible talent and with your skill, ingenuity and patience I doubt whether there's anything you cannot do or achieve. Tremendous respect Sir!
Thank you very much! I think there are things I couldn't do :)
Love the it turned up.
salute for procces..very detail
Extraordinary.
This was really helpful! Thanks! I like that the top piece is just a flat piece of leather sewed on, rather than having to make loops. Makes a lot of sense, assuming the folding of the leather through the watch "poles" don't wear it out.
Thanks to You too! I am not afraid it would wear out as the leather piece is pretty durable... There is even bigger advantage I see and it is comfort as the strap itself is just one piece leather with no bigger joints/sews and no buckle.. Just a smooth leather around your wrist.
its great on your handmade..👌
Well done cool project
This is amazing, truly amazing. I would love to learn how to make a basic watch strap. It would be incredible if you made a how-to video for a simple, basic watch strap.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Don't you see the steps from the video? There is everything I had to do I believe so watching carefully you should be able to see everything you need to see :).
Looks amazing!
Thank you!
Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn man thats call skill
awesome work
Bravo nice work ..💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well done
This is awesome.......... pretty hard work though..........
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
I like that !
Absolutely fantastic job, i am a big fan of nice straps on a watch . Thinking about making a couple my self.
Though as a jeweller i have actually learnt more jewellery making skills from this haha, serious seriously you have a good concept and ability to cut shape methodologically.
Ever thought of doing jewellery?
Thank you for such kind comment. I have never thought of doing jewellery. I rather make some bigger things including the designing. Thats where I partly think about the process. Woodworking is where my thoughts are going now... Go and make some straps, it's good feeling when you daily use something you made and it works.. Well you probably know that feeling as a jeweller :).
Nice Good work
wow... the effort....🖒
Pretty nifty!
Hello, cool project!
Did you draw those plans yourself or is that sketchbook available for purchase?
Thanks!
Top work:))
Thank you :)
you are awesome .
Good wark
donde comprastes ese libro 📚
Increíble
Kinda as if a nato and a Bund had a child together...
Nice idea!
Please give that watch to me hehe 😂
Hello where do I get that sketchbook?
Opinel super
VERY GOOD, MUITO BEM FEITO BRASIL OK SHOW.
Thank you Luiz.
Sir, I wish you also know turning process on Lathe machine. You could have saved your efforts.
Still Great Job Sir. By the way my above comment was not to demean your work. Your skills are beautiful. I just loved the final product.
Thank you, I have access to a lathe and know how to work with it but I decided to make it this way so that it is more "DIY" and to show that you can do things even with simple tools. Sure it would be much easier and faster turning it on a lathe but not my choice this time.
Thank you for you comment and that you like it.
if u had a lathe u would do this in no time.great skills anyway
This watch is a cyma?
too much time waste on button
Turned out amazing, don't like the "clasp" though
Thank you.

Those metal filings and saw dust next to your leatherwork gives me anxiety. Nice band though.
Thank you. Fortunately it ended up all good, I'd say.
metal works was awesome leather work not at best level ,like for metal work
I'm losing my mind, borrow a bench top lathe
I have access to lathe sometimes but this was a bit of challenge for me and also I wanted to show that not having the best tools shouldn't be stopping you :).
You could have used a freaking 4000 dollar cnc and just said "you can also do it with a saw and files" But you do it with 20 dollar worth of tools and materials. There will only be people saying "oh if I were skilled and creative as you" not " I dont have a cnc"
Subscription is a must now have a nice day! Stay awesome
Thank you for the support! I really like the comment, appreciate it and totally agree.
Have a nice day too!
The process you used to make that button was time wasted. You could have achieved the exact same result with half the labour... nice job though
Самый удобный способ проебать часы.
Why doesn’t anyone talk in these videos???
That's a neat strap, but way too much sh** to go through for a new band.
Thank you... You're right but sometimes it's just worth doing (surely not for everyone).
You have done a very tough job...
DIY NOT EASY , NOT ALL TOOLS AVAILABLE
What tools are you missing? It still could be made with less tools than I used but you will have to have at least some. As you can see I also had to improvise at many points. Use your creativity :).
Also remember you'd don't have to make your own snap for the and! That part I was like, yeah I'm hella not doing that. lol but the rest looks fairly doable. Just nice razor blade and a sharp point and a needle...
Exactly, there are some nice button studs available so this step can be easily skipped. All the other tools are just basic tools that almost everyone should easily get.
заклепка гавно потерять очень легко
Repeated raat uselessly
But time pass is ok
ужас
криво, коряво, бестолково... почитай да посмотри чего... может узнаешь хотя бы азы... дизлайк за потраченное время
will lose this watch the first time he wears it, it will fall off.
I'm wearing it almost every day over 4 months now and it never came of by accident.
I hate when people expect us to watch and don't even say what the hell they're doing 😤
cathy poidvin didn’t you read the title and correspond it with his
Sketchbook picture?
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
stop killing animals man.
Good point. Actually I barely eat meat and I expect this strap to last decades hopefully. I'd say it is acceptable then.
whaaaaaa :(
AWFUL !!!!!!!!!!
