The cool thing about Blastoise compared to Charizard is that you can just naturally "curve out" with Blastoise, while Charizard relies on saving up and not doing anything early game. Turn 2 Squirtle Water Gun, Turn 4 Wartortle Wave Splash, Turn 6 Blastoise Hydro Bazooka is very threatening. It's kind of like a cross between Machamp and Charizard decks. Unfortunately, having a weakness to Pikachu dooms it to being sub-optimal.
Mewtwo is the most braindead deck 😂 Natural bulk. Chip 50 dmg and when gardevoire is out u just win 😂😂 Arcanine ex is a pilachu ex killer but dies quite easily to mewtwo since their squishy nature with self damage and cant oneshot a 150 hp pokemon
Arcanine is definitely better than Charizard。I'd even say it's better than Starmie despite being weak to it, cause it's got a very favorable matchup vs. Pikachu, and a fairly good matchup vs. Mewtwo. I predict we're gonna see Arcanine shoot up all the way to Tier 1 as well, though not a high as Pika and Mewtwo due to a weaker matchup to the lower decks, especially Starmie. But the deck is very very aggresive, while still being tankier than Pika. If Arcanine gets 3 energy on Arcanine, even in Bench. Pikachu can no longer win.
I think Charizard is still underrated as heck, it beats every deck easily when it gets online, and it's honestly really rare for it to not get online. Happens in maybe 15-20% of games, which can be reduced even more if you wanna all-in with Pokedex. Once it's online, nothing beats it except for coinflip cc decks, and because of its high hp, even those lose most of the time. I don't get how it's not topping way more.
you wrote your comment as if charizard would have a 80-85% winrate against every deck lmao. drawing charizard or charmeleon late is not “really rare”, it happens a lot
You only have a 40% chance to curve into Charizard on time, and you also need to factor in both seeing moltres, and flipping at least 2 heads. The deck has to work significantly harder for a very similar payout as mewtwo. The deck is good, but it's nowhere near as good as the better decks.
Pikachu EX and Mewtwo EX feel like tyrants of this meta, dishing way too much damage to the point you can't build around them. That's because Pikachu's 90 damage move just OHKOs way too many 2nd stage pokémon and is difficult to counter due to low retreat costs, while Mewtwo has a nuke for almost everything. It reminds me of the Bardo/Kai'Sa meta back in 2022 Legends of Runaterra, a truly awful period of time because anything that won against one lost to the other and were too polarizing due to RNG mechanics involved.
@@Upstream_Baggage So I did 2 mewtwo, 1 fossil, 2 speed, 2 pokedex, 1 sabrina but you can replace sabrina or 1 dex with potions however you only really need potions vs starmie if he hits your blastoise early
That gardevior ability that adds energy to mewtwo ex is just crazy. 150 damage each turn even though you're discarding 2 each time. Pure insanity.
It's also a guaranteed +1 energy
Yeah, once they get it setup that’s it. Generally I concede at that point.

If mewtwo ends up being the best, that'll probably lead to charizard getting more usage over arcanine.
Nidoking grimer weezing go brr on mewtwo decks. Only ever lost once out of like 10 matches
Until they add a dark EX card, dark decks are just inconsistent against everything that isn't mewtwo.
Fuck I just found out loom had a PTCGP channel. Let’s go!😊

@@joeysung311 I don't know, I feel like I do have 80% win rate when I play charizard

i miss runeterra😢
Wow
If you follow the meta, you can't dictate the next meta. Play what you like.
This comment, does not make sense..

Mewtwo should be discard 3 or discard all tbh. Hope they don't nerf gardevoir, she's balanced when used with other psychic decks
that’s crazy because gardevoir is the stronger card out of the two IMO
I am someone who popped off with blastoise and I have the best list AMA
list?
