My list has X Speed instead of Potions, and two Sabrina's instead of Red Card. X Speed is great in this deck because it fixes bad starts and undoes opponent's Sabrinas.
Butterfree adds even more healing, and Caterpie can add any Grass type to your hand, although it is a bit slower with needing 2 evo's instead of just 1
I have same deck but with caterpie to butterfree. instead of petilil. I like caterpie because of the ability to draw pokemons speeding up the reach to vinesaur and butterfree. by end of it i have 1 butterfree in back healing all damaged pokemons 20 every turn and a venisaur that can heal itself 30 and do 100 damage. They end up conceding if not defeated fast enough. Deck is consistant enough to have fun and also i can say it is a toxic deck because if you are lucky enough you could have 2 butterfree and holding enemy hostage.
After playing both this version and the one with exeggutor ex instead of lilligant, i honestly think the ladder is better: eggy is so good at tanking hits early game, which is amazing for setting up venu in the bench. Lilligant doesn't have the same health, and it needs 2 energies to attack, and that's a lot against faster decks like Pikachu ex. To me eggy felt more consistent, and if you get heads it's strong af
So I've been playing a lot of Venusaur EX both with Exeggcutor EX and with Lilligant. Tbh I've had similar success with both, but I can see why the Exeggcutor variant is more successful. The big difference is that Venusaur EX only needs 3 energy to come online and Exeggcutor EX only needs 1, so essentially, once you have Exeggcutor EX set up, you can just start feeding energies to your backline Bulbasuar and get set up in basically the same amount of time as you would with Lilligant (with a little less flexibility since Exeggcutor EX is harder to retreat and worth 2 points if KOd) Additionally, on-average Exeggcutor EX will do a bit more damage and can KO most non-EX basic Pokémon really quickly and easily with a bit of luck. So that can also buy you time or outright win games for you while Venusaur EX is still getting started. Lastly, Exeggcutor EX is bulkier than Lilligant. Pikachu EX is like the most metagame defining deck and can easily dish out 100 damage with a Giovanni and minimal setup, Lilligant often just dies to that combo before you can start feeding Bulbasaur any energy for the comeback. However, Exeggcutor EX can threaten Pikachu EX the other way around depending on who has the initiative and if you can get at least 1 heads out of 2 attacks. Plus, with an Erika, it can tank long enough for Venusaur to be set up and sweep them.
What mew said lol, spot on analysis. Only thing to add is unlike most ramp in the game this requires 2 mana to just set it up so that 2 mana you could have just stuck on bulb in the first place making it not the greatest (not bad tho as it lets you attack whilst walling up as opposed to just putting up a snorlax wall or something)
I've been running a bunch of Venusaur, and maybe I'm just getting lucky, but I think it normally beats Pikachu. It's like a bit favored into Mewtwo, especially if you can get your Erikas in-hand. And it's honestly like only a little unfavorable into Charizard. The weakness doesn't factor in all that much, it's just about winning before the Zard drops/gets energy. The big issue I've actually had is Starmie
"Broke arse" Meanwhile immediately 0s out every yugioh box 3 times upon 1 day of release and shows "budget friendly" decks... spashing orcust in it. Cuz everything is orcust
You actually got close to the best venusaur list by accident. 1x of the venu line, caterpies and fossils is the best list, lilligant is slow trash just powercycle your deck and pray
"it's only 1 mana?"
Excuse me, but do you have a moment to talk about lord and saviour "energy" and "energy attachment"?
LOL
Too bad Charizard EX and Moltres EX are a thing

I've been having a lot of fun playing Arbok decks (I have both a pidgeot and Greninja variety)
Butterfree adds even more healing, and Caterpie can add any Grass type to your hand, although it is a bit slower with needing 2 evo's instead of just 1
I use regular venossaur, only 1 bulbassaur evolution line + 2 execcute lines + 2 liligant lines and 1 venomoth line

Loses it’s immortality immediately against Charizard tho

Red card is so painful...
Ever since I had a Venusaur EX I've been trying to make it work and its pretty good so far IMO as well.
I could absolutely play this deck if I had 2 ivysayr. It's not worth 140 pack points, though, in my opinion. 😅
Yep, I've been pulling Mewtwo packs for one more Ivysaur and Venusaur ex
i use one evolution line, paired with butterfree and exeggutor, works great. I guess i can swap lilligant for ramping the deck quickly
What's the best way to build a dragonite deck?
You’re the only pocket content I consume. What is the non-cheap version of this deck? Why Exxegutor EX? Mana ramping seems smarter.

Where are you watching tournament results?
Pokémonmeta
Ey man when trades come out i can give you a ex one I have 4 for some reason
I downloaded this game but cant get to level 3 so i can battle :(
Use your hourglasses. They are more than enough to get you there. I suggest focusing on one pack with a single strategy you want.
In my experience it's a mid tier deck. It loses to Pika, M2, Zard and Starmie but wins against everything else.
True tho I haven’t had as much trouble vs mew as they are often slow and are unable to one shot, so becomes a game of who can hit first.

Almost like YuGiOh content pays for itself and I do this channel for free
