"But all my Harley friends will make fun of me!" Lol. Rough, dude. You dont have to convince me! Great demo! I sent your half helmet head out the truck demo to a big harley fan in Canada (has her own RUclips channel) and her sister and never heard back from her. Probably thinking, "Oh thats not us". They are both really pretty...at least for now... That free, hair in the wind la la la is just not worth it when shit happens and no one in a car or truck sees you or is looking for you. Thanks Greg.

if the gear you wear or don't wear has anything to do with what other people think, you're a weak minded individual...sadly too many people fall into that category, rather "fit in" or "be cool" or not getting made "fun on" vs protecting themselves. And if anyone is making fun of you for wearing gear, I'd find new friends.

These are great videos for the community. I got in to a nasty accident due to a drunk driver swerving head on to my side of the road, causing a collision. I went flying very high in the air, luckily I landed on grass, and since I was wearing full gear my entire body was weakened however no permanent damage was done other than to my femur which shattered from the impact of the collision. I received no damage to my neck or head. I was knocked out upon impact, however regained consciousness about a minute later with no amnesia and had full awareness of what had happened.
Always wear your gear. If I never had full gear that day, I would have surely died. Thanks for the content!

Oh also both my parents rode in the 70s and 80s and my mom took cross country trips with her best friend on Honda’s, and she told us the horror story of her best friends dad who had to soak off his leathers bc the blood had dried and stuck them to his skin, and she said he screamed doing it, I guess she heard about it from her friend idk. In 1977, I was 6 years old and I started riding a 1976 moped. Dad would start it up by pedalling it to start it and then I would be sat on it with my feet only reaching the cross frame. He then would take it off of the stand and hold onto it for balance until I cranked on the gas and took off. No helmet. No gloves. No long pants. Once and only once I wiped out AND as a small child, to lift the bike off of me, I grabbed the hot exhaust pipe and well got an ouchy. Dad lifted the bike off of me and got my hand wrapped up and off I went again. When I was older, my brother got me riding his dirt bikes. Ah the days gone by. Was that dangerous? Hell yes. Should it be like that now? Hell no lol wear protective gear but man those were the good Ole days. 🎉

Tearing the meat and skin off of that one finger is a good example of cuffing , what happens when you have a ring on your finger and the ring catches on something and all the weight of your body pulls the skin off. Generally it doesn't pull off so clean. And you can bet there will be more blood coming out of your finger than you knew about.

I most often ride with a jacket, however in the summer regardless of temp, I will also wear a vest. I'm a Healthcare Provider, we see most injuries occur to the hands, lower extremities, head and cervical areas. By all means wear long sleeve armored gear, it will definitely diminish the likelihood of upper extremity soft tissue injury.

I remember a specific TV commercial about insurance and it said "people do dumb things..." yeah, they do indeed. And not wearing proper gear when riding is definitely a dumb thing to do!! So far, from what i can see, it seems that most riders not wearing protected gear are older folks on Harleys !!
As a new rider out there, not once have i taken my bike out without my full gear, and i sure will keep this good habit. And to make sure i'm well protected on very hot days, i've bought a full body armor last week to wear instead of my motorcycle jacket. I also adjusted my shifter lever so that i could use motocross boots instead of regular motorcycle footwear even when riding on pavement roads & hwys. Oh and my helmet IS a fullface !! Years ago, i remember seeing riders not wearing any helmet at all in a State... New Mexico i think. Is it still like that... not mandatory to wear an helmet in some States !?

I believe you're not supposed to wear gloves while operating a wire wheel/bench grinder due to the risk of gloves getting caught and pulling your hand in. Wear gloves at the correct time 😉

"Are you really taking that jacket and those gloves (that were like super expensive, like why didn't you buy cheaper ones) just to go to the super?"
Yes ._. I don't want to leave a bloody trail on the pavement and/or loose my hands and my primary income source with them xD
The only thing I'm missing are kneepads and shoes, but is just there's none in my size on my country :c and I don't have money to import them (kneepads XD is just me being lazy, I'll add them to my cart today)

@@MotoJitsu Agree, but it can be also dangerous in the city on a bike without helmet.
