I have to admit, the technique「Domain Expansion」in Jujutsu Kaisen is probably the coolest thing since the「Total Concentration Breathing」in Demon Slayer. And before I noticed, I started mumbling「Ryouiki Tenkai!」unconsciously, whenever I am trying very hard to concentrate. (笑)
In any case, Jujutsu Kaisen was a really good Action Anime with top notch animation and I cannot wait to watch the second season!
A few words about the video itself: This arrangement is the more "straightforward" type, since the original song doesn't allow me to add many ornaments like I usually do. I did sneak in a three-hand techniques but only very shortly during the chorus in 0:52.
My main focus was to optimize the flow of the music and to emphasize the contrast between the staccato parts and legato parts. A good example would be the staccato in 3:06, followed by a legato a few seconds later in 3:11.
Some people have mentioned in the comments, that hand-crossing on the piano looks really cool (and I completely agree btw). So this time, I included a massive hand-crossing action during the second verse in 1:31, while playing some jazz notes (the F-F#-G in 1:43) to make this section sound as groovy as possible on the piano.
Last but not least, the classical "book ends" in my arrangement is back again!
Just listen closely to the very first notes in 0:02 and the very last notes of this song in 3:50. Playing a song on repeat has never been more fun!
Well then, that's it for today! Next weeks upload is confirmed already! It has something to do with a Manga Series, which is ending this week after 11 long years...

All Sukuna's fingers jokes aside, this arrangement might not be as finger-breakingly difficult as「unravel」, but it still has a groovy atmosphere with a fun hand-crossing action in 1:31! Both songs also share the same g-minor key, perhaps that's why I got a little bit 「unravel」 vibes when I was arranging it, especially during the bridge part in 2:24

All songs in g-minor seriously hit on piano. Usually spawns melancholic melodies that, whether loosely, or heavily woven with uptempo rhythms, evoke and stir our emotions in a mysterious and attractive way. I love it

Hella funky bassline, groovy rhythm and feel, jazzy vibe - this arrangement captures everything that is great about the original.
Moments i liked the most:
-the walking bass line in the intro and outro, slightly remniscent of the iconic Bios intro
-the decision to use only a single voice melody in the first half of each chorus in order to make the octave ornaments stand out more cleanly. i think it's easy to want to hop straight into the chorus with octaves, but i like the way you did it much better!
-the third voice at 1:42 was really well done
-the groovy style of the bridge
I have a soft spot for funky / groovy pieces and i love your rendition of this one. Fantastic work!
The groovy second verse of the original song has literally "saved" this arrangement, haha. I was initially struggling to make this song sound interesting on the piano and after repeating the second verse on loop, I suddenly had the idea for the hand crossing in 1:31. After that, all the groovy arrangement ideas came flooding in.
Sometimes, you just need a small idea to get your creativity gears working!

0:32 the left hand adds a lot there
1:29 that buildup is perfect
1:32 as a surprise to absolutely no one I LOVE those hand crossings and how that entire part feels
1:43 THOSE LITTLE ADDITIONS those three notes that go up then down
2:59 such a small thing but the fact that the melody's in thirds got me
3:06 I absolutely adore the space that this part has, makes the drop that much better
3:22 this variation
3:50 ending it a with an octave a half step under the beginning, Animenz you mad -scientist- genius
I have been absolutely obsessed with the OP ever since the first few episodes of Jujutsu I watched and continued to listen to every single piano cover of it I could find. And once again you've managed to create a cover that's so distinctly Animenz it makes me want to loop this for the next week, even though it's so straightforward! Loved this one, once again!

Loved it! Jujutsu Kaisen is one of my fav animes! Your piano skills as always, was amazing. I think it would be really cool to see the behind the scenes, of you writing the arrangement, and just how long it takes for you to memorize it. That would be pretty epic
I always write detailed video descriptions to explain a bit the thought process for each of my arrangements! But of course, a behind the scenes video would be interesting as well (though it would just consist of me practicing over and over again until I can memorize every single pattern).
It takes around 15-30 hours for me to fully arrange a new song song, btw!
Believe me or not, I have absolutely terrible memory, so I have to use twice the effort compared to normal pianists to memorize certain left hand patterns or three hand techniques. And if I don't memorize it, the left hand accompaniment would be completely randomized and the flow of the arrangement would be disturbed.

That was incredible as always. After that I would like the ending. Seriously when you feel sad about the end of an episode and then you hear the ending with the groovy sax and gojo sensei dancing, it’s absolutely wonderful and gives me the envy to dance.

You've also gotten really good at transitioning from one thing to another as seen at 1:31. It just feels so right.
I've always been a fan of how you make use of staccato and legato, but this piece just... bruh... It brings the piece to life.
There's also something oddly... familiar and nostalgic in how your left hand accompaniments was played. Every now and then I'd see something that seemed familiar in the play style. Guess I've been watching too many of your videos at this point in time.
