Eclectic witches! Witches who follow many paths or traditions rather then one pantheon or coven traditions etc.

@@claudias6786 Eclectics essentially take bits and pieces from different paths and pantheons ( Greek, Roman, Celtic, etc) they don't really fall under any one category of witch or will fall under many categories. They tend to be solitary for they follow their own rules not ones abided by a coven with a unified stance. You could definitely Google eclectic witches and come up with a better description than what I've given, that's just the best I way I could think of to explain it *shrugs*. We have our own beliefs and practices that don't fit in any one particular box.
Although I'm a baby witch and not very knowledgable on this all, I definitely resonate with water, the moon, stars, night time, crystals, fire, and candles. I want candles and crystals to be BIG parts of my craft. I definitely feel more right doing most of my witchy things at night rather than during the day.
I really like labels (unpopular opinion, I know) because it gives me a sense of belonging and organization, so I'm kind of bummed that there isn't just one label for all the things I resonate with and plan to include in my practice.
And I also don't personally want to consider myself a sea witch because the ocean just isn't what feels right in my craft. Streams and creeks are *definitely* what I feel drawn to, and I plan to use fresh water from the stream in my backyard in my craft along with the candles and crystals. Moon water will absolutely be one of my number 1 tools too
It's especially hard to find a label as a baby witch because your practice is probably going to evolve in a chaotic way. People either start out eclectic absorbing as much information as they can or with a very specific practice that gets added to over time. When you start out eclectic (meaning you take whatever fits for you) it can be hard to define a path early on. To me you sound like an elemental witch with some cosmic witchcraft thrown in. You may also consider the term river witch.
If you ask yourself "why" you use candles, or why you use crystals it will bring you closer to answering "what" path you are on.

Mermaid_Xoxo I’m pretty sure Sea witch is just a blanket term for a water witch. I’ve seen “Sea witches” work with only rivers, lakes, bodies of water, etc. So go find yourself a local creek and get that sea Witchery going!

All these micro labels are a new thing. Imo a witch is a witch is a witch.
In order to figure out your talents just study, research, try different things, explore your boundaries, practice. You'll be good at some things, not so good at others. Some things will interest you and others won't and that's different for everyone and that's okay. You can have many interests and talents and you don't have to label yourself after each one.
I think I am a green witch because I enjoy the wonderful nature!

Thank you for the video. It is all so interesting. So many things to discover and which pull me. I am a sea and river/water which. I also love working with deities, elementals, dragons and other beings. As a Starseed I also like the cosmic influences. There are so many topics to discover. I feel a bit like as an eclectic witch, because I incorporate many different things. It is sometimes overwhelming. I grew up near the polish broader and feel also drawn to slawic folklore and culture, as also to the Celtic pantheon. I am German and have the roots in the Celtic culture. I could also be a hedge witch, because I see and feel spirits and it is easy for me to go behind the veil. It is all so wonderful and I think that every witch has an individual power and magic. The Native American background of yours is interesting and beautiful too. 💙💙💙

I came across this video and what caught my attention is that you identified a grey witch as a traditional witch! I love that reference! I identify as a grey witch but was drawn to the traditional nature practice! so this kind of satisfying to know they align well!

I was born and raised in Louisiana. I’ve always felt drawn to witchcraft like it was something that I needed to do. I’ve been wondering if maybe it’s hereditary or not. My grandma is “sick” in the head and she has all kinds of crazy stories about the witches in New Orleans. I think that somewhere along my bloodline there was a witch and as generations passed, the gift was passed to me?? Is that possible ?

You definitely come from a place that has tons of people practicing multiple crafts/religions. I lived down there for a few years and walking through the market in New Orleans you can feel the presence of multiple energies. It certainly had my mind racing and my heart pumping. I didn't know I was an Empath back then and I had no idea I had any gifts. To be honest the experience was frightening but only because I was so unaware. I met so many wonderful people in Louisiana. I'm glad you figured out your heritage. I know it's in my family but it was lost with my Grandmother. My Mom and her siblings will never follow a path or admit there is a connection. There are a few cousins that are solitary witches. They send out subtle hints.

Hedge witches also have a affinity towards ghosts/spirits. Most Hedge witches find that the spirits are drawn to them and guide them during their astral travels.
Lovely video. The tech witch was very amusing. It would call all these labels as subjects of study that are all needed to be studied by anyone wishing to be a complete witch. Herbology, potions, spells etc. Yes Harry Potter sorta said it right. Once you learn and even better master them all they you can discover the "magic without the wand". Nei Dan to Shein Gong, Yoga and Taoism and Hermetics are great beginnings for a Witch.
I think I might be a hedge/green witch because I want to work with nature and connect with animals and plants and I also want to have past life and out of body experiences

I concider myself a regional secular kitchen/cottage witch. I live in a mountainous region with a very large lake that I feel very connected with. I generally use local rocks/indigenous vegitation/ and bones in my work. However the style of my practice changes with the seasons.

I might be an urban green/hedge witch? But like I'm super scared of the fae and I don't want to be involved with them. Only cuz like I just want to be safe. I respect them but I don't want to be associated with them
The main reason that the fae are dangerous and unpredictable is because each of them is an individual, and finding out what they want can be a bit tricky compared to deities or demons. I would definitely reccomend learning about them, and get a feel for the fae in your area. even if you never choose to work with them. They are spirits just like any other.

I'm also a spiritual witch like I said I like a lot of different types of magic but nothing that has to do with blood or death because we all know as witches we cannot raise the Dead if we do they come back as demonic creatures so I do not mess with that but I love nature and I'm also an empath and I do see things in the past and other things that I have been bestowed on to me I also see ghosts I am very quite different than a lot of other witches I consider myself like a multitask which because I like to try everything blessed bee sister

I’m a baby Wiccan i classify myself as a green/elemental/kitchen witch.
Nice categories explanation of the different types of witchcraft. Is there a type called HEALING or HEALTH witch. Someone who uses spells, recipes, folk home remedies for specializing in Healing and health or do all categories of 15 or more witchcraft branches all have healing/health components? I myself am not a witch but I am fascinated by the practices. I would say I am an internal martial artist using CHI (Chinese internal energy) or KI (Japanese internal energy- I practice Tai Chi Chuan (Chinese internal martial arts) and Aikido (Japanese internal martial arts)
I think you would be considered a spiritual worker or a light worker rather than a witch. But if you wanted to choose a witch category, then you'd be an eclectic witch since it's a personalized practice that is individual to you. Healing work is typically done by light workers, folk healers, and kitchen witches.

Question two: no Wicca is a religion and witchcraft is a spirituality
@@mothdoc1909 Witchcraft is a practice, not a spirituality. Witchcraft can have religion and/or spirituality in it, and it can have neither. It is up to the person practicing witchcraft as to what they include in it.
