Link can arrive any time.. try to keep checking your email frequently.

@@JustEaseIt I was not even aware of the waitlist option. I only applied for the waitlist on 6th of June by chance. Judging by your experience I am worried I will not get the appointment before the month of September now and my course starts mid October. :|

I was on waiting list from several months so as per my assumption next slots will be available on 1 July and the appointment dates will be available for second half of August.

Have you got the email with the subject "Successfully added to the waitlist"?
If yes, you might get another email anytime within next 20-25 days with a link to book confirm appointment.

Yes, the premium service option is only available at VFS because they are just a service provider company and they segregate their customers by providing 2 service categories but for The Embassy Germany everyone is the same and they treat everyone equally. So, even if someone gets VFS premium service, he gets special treatment at VFS but when his documents reach the Embassy he doesn't get any special or extra benefits.
Coming to your second question, I don't have much knowledge about Kolkata so it's better if you can call the Kolkata VFS directly and ask them.
Still I would like to say, since you have booked an appointment directly at the Embassy, it seems pretty obvious that you have to go to the Embassy directly and VFS have no role in this.

No specific time. You have to be on the waiting list first.
There is really long waiting time for visa appointments but don’t get scammed by any agent if he ask you for money and promise to provide the appointment soon. No one can do that.. No matter how promising he sounds. These are all just frauds happening with people. Be careful.

Yes, you should do Appointment booking process as soon as possible because there is a lot of waiting time before getting confirm appointment. VFS form can be filled later, you will have ample of time.

Uttarakand comes under VFS delhi and there is lot of waiting time there. It's not impossible but you should apply as soon as possible to increase your chances of getting earlier slots.

Hi, keep on getting this error "Sorry, you have either 1) exceeded the maximum number of attempts allowed to access our system within the current session or 2) your access to our application has been restricted right now. Please try again in another 2 hours".

If you are planning to study Masters in Germany then you need to book appointment at VFS by choosing “A-Category” and this is also applicable if you are going for Bachelors and your grades in 12th were 90% or above.
But if you are going for Bachelors and your grades are below 90% than you can only book appointment at Consulate by choosing “B-Category “

You have to cancel the existing appointment and get on the waiting list again if you want to change the appointment date.

You applied on 9th May and got 2nd August appointment date. I applied on 26th June for VFS Kolkata in same category and so do you think I will not get it until end of September ? If that's the case, it might be an issue because even if the appointment is successful then also visa might get stamped way after my semester starting, right ? My semester starts from 1st October with classes from probably 10th October. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Yes, it can be a problem but there is still hope because recently I have seen that people are getting early slots as well. There are chances that you might get an appointment within a month. Keep watching and book the slot as soon as you get the email from VFS. Don't delay it even for a few minutes.

Regarding the blocked account you can consider Fintiba or Expatrio both are good and reliable because I have known many people already using their service. Take a complete package which includes insurances as well so that you can get everything all together saving your energy and time 👍🏼

I have vfs appointment on 22nd july and bcs of some insufficient documents i have to cancel this appointment, can i cancel this appointment bcs reschedule is difficult and can i book again at the same time for new appointment on same day.

Stay away from such agents. No one can get you an appointment by spending money. No matter how promising it sounds, you will find yourself scammed if you involve any agent in this. It’s a very simple and easy process and everyone have to wait because of the long waiting time at VFS these days.

VFS Jalandhar still seems to be closed till further notice. I think you only have an option of Delhi right now. You can check on VFS website.

Slots doesn’t get available directly. First you need to get on the waiting list and later you receives email for booking a confirm appointment depending upon the availability. This email can take from a week to a month time.

Hi.. For Masters you have to book the appointment at VFS only by choosing “A Category” irrespective of your grades in SSLC.
This “>90%” condition apply only for those who are going to study Bachelors in Germany.

I just got a call before few days that slots are open to book after being waitlisted, however the appointment dates were just after the day I got a notification of slots being open. And therefore I was not able to book or take an appointment for my visa in end of july or mid of August. About rescheduling I have no Idea because I haven’t experienced that and neither anyone of my known have tried it yet.
Yes, VFS and visa charges are paid at the centre but if you want premium service, you have to pay for it at time of booking confirm appointment.
