Yeah but ... There's some bands that sound better live than studio ... Few can achieve this, but when they do, it's amazing. Shinedown. Iron Maiden. Metallica. To name a few. And honestly I feel Volbeat is one of them too haha

Chris Pell One of the many sad things I've noticed regarding many of my fellow Americans is that so many have no curiosity. If something is not plastered all over TV or blasted from top 40 radio stations or not on the cover of major music magazines, then most Americans are not aware of it. This especially is true of bands, singer-songwriters, etc. I, unlike most Americans, search for hours and hours on youtube and other sites to find awesome bands I've not heard or even heard of. I post videos I've made of local bands on two different channels. There's quite literally a whole world of music out there that most people in this country are not aware of. It's sad. But, I need to glad that excellent music is being made, and that I'm not the only one who enjoys it. Regarding Volbeat.. the only studio album I've not liked was their most recent one. It sounds like the band went too commercial in order to attract an American audience. I doubt this tactic has worked. I don't know for sure, because I don't listen to much music on the radio. The hard rock station out here in Boise often isn't very good. I wish Volbeat would have stuck to what they do best.. a rather unique blend of metal, country, punk, rockabilly and Danish music. The last album seemed less creative and kinda weak in parts. Even though I don't care for the most recent album, I still have tremendous respect for the band and enjoy their music very much!

I think partly, if something is in a language other than English, most Americans don't want to hear it (Americans who are musicians or into other arts tend to be more open-minded than most, at least). Too bad. They are missing out on so much! Just one example.. I found a band from Germany called Falkenbach. It's mainly the project of one guy. He researches old songs and ancient languages, and sings in Latin, and Old German and I don't know what. I don't understand the words, but I don't care. The music is awesome!
