Jordan's dunk is the most graceful and artistic dunk i've ever seen. Pure art in motion.
Yep. There have been guys since him who were even more athletic, could jump higher, and do crazier dunks... but nobody has made an art out of it the way he did. MJ, then Dr J. Even Kobe's dunks weren't awe-inspiring like this.

As a kid, Jordans dunk really made me believe that people could fly. It's one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and no one has been able to recreate that since.

MJ's side ways dunk is the absolute number 1 for me not to mention MJ's unmatched free throw line dunk.and most importantly doing it in such a graceful manner. Nobody can hang in the air for as long as MJ period .hence “ Air Jordan”. Jordan had the charisma , class no one else had anybody can dunk . But only one can fly .GOAT.

MJ's leaner dunk looked simple in normal speed. But in slowmo, man! You realize its the most difficult dunk ever. He literally lean in mid air SIDEWAYS!!! And his flying motion is unequalled to this day. No wonder nobody ever did it before and after him. Everybody else just jumps... MJ flies!

I still remember watching that '87 dunk contest live. It didn't look like much at normal speed but that low-angle replay from the sideline, man. I used to pause the tape while he was in mid-air and just stare at it. lol

NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY was doing dunks anything close to this, it was so ahead of it's time and out of the box.

I agree that Carter's reverse 360 windmill is probably in top 3 all time possibly #1 it's really the best of all worlds. No gimmick. No prop, No teammate, just a really high, really technical dunk, and it was so smooth he truly landed in a perfect 360 and had so much extra height he was able to slam it down with more force then even Dominique's dunks. Just will always be a candidate for #1

I rewatched this slowly and he truly dunks at about 300 degrees then slightly twists the last 60 as he falls down. It's a 360 clearly from jump position to landed position.

Jordan had/has a really unique body. Super long legs, super high hips, super high calves, short torso, long arms, huge hands and ability to jump 42"+ (allegedly 48") off of one or two feet. No one else has all of that.
Vince was a pretty amazing player. I'd say in the top 50 of all time. People saying Jordan's dunk was lame..well - I have seen him do it legit from the free throw line. Not toes on the line, before the line. He stayed in the air long enough to still dunk it. People flipped out when Dwight did it from half that distance. Mind you Dwight is alot bigger.

The Vince Carter Dunk contest was the craziest series of dunks I've seen since Nique against MJ. I would put Vince at number one. The John Wall dunk deserves an honorable mention. My favorite in game dunk of all time ( I am a Knick fan ) has to be the Starks dunk. It was over three Bulls including MJ in the playoffs. Can't top that.

Sebastian Selorio when the ball goes through his hand is below the rim, "manually power" is not throwing the ball, because if it was, you could release a jump shot from above rim level and you would have "manually powered" the ball to go through the basket from any distance... manually power means with your hand, which is below the rim when the ball goes in
