I went to St. Lucia 2 weeks ago. The most beautiful country I’ve visited. The rainforest, the beaches, the country side and the people are all absolutely beautiful. I had the most amazing time. When I travel I take time to get to know the locals and their customs. It’s an extremely welcoming country and the people are very humble and warm. The water is clear as glass, the food is amazing. It’s very hot (it’s at the equator), but so beautiful in more ways than one
I went twice as a kid and it's the most beautiful place I ever been..the hummingbirds dragonflies the hundreds of crabs on the beach at sunset its a magic place
had the same experience several years ago! Like you, i want to get into the local culture when i travel, St. Lucia was incredible for that. Made some lifelong friends there
People that are well traveled will give you a good and accurate response to your question. But when asking Caribbean natives from different parts if they don't like a country. You will get many different responses but we're mostly humble and happy people. It was sad to hear one of the ladies answering to the question and saying that Castries was the country she didn't like, which is her country's capital city. But I understand what she meant. City life is not for everyone and that's a understatement. I enjoy the quality of video and also had a good laugh with the responses. St. Lucia looks stunning with those mountains and turquoise beaches. Thank you for sharing your video and hope you keep up the excellent work.
@@princesaamyiithat’s crazy to say but in st lucia you can be hungry and get food, even without having money. With that being said, the only way to see the flip side of st Lucian’s are to piss them off especially the patriotic ones. 😇 have a nice day.

Best time to go in sulphur spring. Wait till other tourist go home in evening and jump over the fence. You have it all to yourself. Also visit Canway and Grass street in Castries, and Baron Drive in Soufriere for the real vibe.
If you visit. Don’t just stay at your resort. Get out and experience the pure beauty the island country has. So much tropical beauty to see, plants, animals, beaches etc. It’s truly an experience to talk to the people and to enjoy their country. One love
I can bet she don't know anything about Puerto Rico either lol. When she said that I was thinking and why not? Maybe she went on a school trip or something idk lol. But that was definitely weird and random.
I was scratching my head in confusion tbh. I think she just blurted out the first thing that came in her head because she doesn't seem to even have a real reason lol. I'm a Lucian and can tell you a lot of Lucians are like this when suddenly put on the spot. They blurt out a strange answer and then scramble to come up with an explanation when the other person demands it.
What a prejudiced comment. Do you realise how much trouble these girls would be in if they were actually 'high'? Like you say, this isn't America, very few women smoke in Saint Lucia, which has conservative values for women especially.
I only repeated what he said, he said he don't trust Jamaica then talks about crime, etc. Would you agree then that trust isn't the right word to use since he follows their religion?
@@NativeNomad10 Many of us follow christianity but don't trust Europeans or follow Islam but don't trust Arabs. Your point is weak. Following a religion developed in a country doesn't mean one must trust the people of that country. Rastafarians don't account for even ten percent of the Jamaican population.
@listenup2882 All the religion you mentioned were forced on the Caribbean during slavery, it wasnt willingly followed. He however chose to follow a religion from a country he claim he doesnt trust. Accounting for 1% now wasnt always the case when it was formed and its also still a Jamaican religion centered around Jamaica culture, etc.

I don't think these people harbor resentment, prejudice and ignorance the way we're accustomed to in the states. They live on a beautiful, safe island, I doubt they spend their time dwelling on what countries they dislike. A better question would've been to ask what countries they would like to visit or what they love about their island.
They are stressed about inflation and pretty much the same as in the US etc but don't fret too much. People can eat fruit, vegs and pretty much survive without money but it's hard as well.
