    Not only is Phobos like the Akasha, it’s also like the Golden Slumber. He and Deshret basically had the same idea. They came to the same conclusion on defying fate.
    My guess is they were both trying to become Descenders. By amalgamating and fusing everyone’s wills into one mind, they tried to create a being with a will that rivals a world. It’s somewhat similar to how Narcizzenkreuz (Renee de Petrichor) tried to become a descender in his world quest. And it’s possible Renee got the idea from Remuria. Because he wanted to melt everyone down with the primordial sea water, and return everyone’s consciousnesses to himself and BECOME all of fontaine. And he explicitly states that his end goal was to become a descender, because that would allow him to change fate.
    Hell, that’s also probably how Remus turned all the Remurians into golems! He must have used diluted primordial sea water to melt down the bodies of the people and moved their minds into to the golems. He was just better at controlling it than Renee.
    It really seems like all the people who want to BECOME descenders all try to do it through a collective consciousness. I wonder if the sinner in the Caribert quest is the same. Just king Irmin of Khaenriah and the minds of all dead hilichurls fused into one. That would also explain why the hilichurls worshipped it, same as the Remurians with Phobos or the eremites with the Golden Slumber. For them it’s the coolest thing ever. A kind of “promised salvation from fate.” Even though they have no guarantee it’ll work.

      Rene di get his idea from Remuria, he studied their documents together with those from Khaenri'ah. There's the whole thing about the 4 orthants in the Harmost's Notes II as well, so that's definitely where he learned about them. But, I don't think neither Deshret nor Remus wanted to become Descenders, that's a Khaenri'ah thing, it seems. They just wanted to defy the Heavenly Principles and change Fate, something that, as Focalors showed, can be done even without being a Descender.
      Remus did, indeed, use Primordial Water to turn his people into golems. Primordial Water is what he calls Ichor.
      By the way, Deshret only shared Forbidden Knowledge with his people because he was aware it would have been too much for him to handle, so she tried to split the load and have a better chance at understanding it without being destroyed by it, but he overestimated his people's mental capabilities and what Forbidden Knowledge actually was.
      As for the Sinner, I'm still of the idea that he is Phanes, the shade that created the microcosm against the Primordial One's orders, and got punished by chaining him inside Teyvat for all eternity. As a shade, his powers would be able to go against the curse of Khaenri'ah and Fate itself.

      I dont think they were trying to become descenders, a descender is only necessary if you're going to do it with one individual. Renee likely saw the failures of using a collective as well as the attempts to summon outworlders and decieded upon the idea of becoming a descender which from the sounds of it Remus and Deshret would have found horrific. They created their worlds to be paradises for their subjects and use their collective will to make it reality. Renee wanted to essentially consume their - edit: by their I mean his "subjects", souls forever denying them even death to increase his own power such that he could make the world he wanted reality i.e. remake the world in his image.

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +1

      @@GhostEmblem yeah, Deshret and Remus wanted to save their people from fate, even though they ended up cursing them, while Rene wanted to become the world himself. His main goal was to survive the Apocalypse, and make people survive it by absorbing them and the recreate a new form of humanity that could live in that post-apocalyptic world. Rene basically mixed Khaenri'ah and Remuria and came up with something horrific that revolved around him.
      To be honest, Remus's attempt was the better one, but also the more intelligent one. He didn't want to defy the world, he wanted to tweak it so that his people would be safe. If it wasn't for Boethius, I wonder.... It does sound like a valid attempt, so maybe there was a chance to make it a reality, I mean, it made perfectly sense to be honest

    I get the feeling that the sinking of Remuria was due to Remus’s self-sacrifice. So even if Scylla couldn’t fulfill his half of the agreement, at the very least, Remus could stop Phobos and Remuria as a whole from wreaking more havoc in the world.

    Only one Sovereign of an element can exist in the world at a given time. Egeria was a Pseudo Hydro Dragon Sovereign(Not a real Dragon, but she did have the Authority of one, and Authority can't be shared.) created by the Shade of life. Only after her death 500 years ago, could a real Dragon Sovereign(Neuvillette) be born. So Neuvillette is roughly 500 years old, but Focalor found him 400 years ago when she was was looking for ways to stop the prophecy.

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, except for the fact that Furina said that Neuvillette is at least 1000 years old.
      So, considering that Egeria wasn't an original water dragon, she was created by the shades, when she left the Primordial Sea, it created a new, real dragon to get that authority back.

    Those painting effect that you put at the beginning were beautiful, I'm wondering how much time should took you to do it, seems complicated (not the effect, but putting every character on a very specific scene). Anyways, great video as always Shadow!, I'm sure you're the best in terms of lore 👌👌
    As we talked before, we have differences speaking about Phanes and deep lore, for example, those 6 eyes?/wings? next to phanes could also mean the 7 Samsara's cycle?, considering primordial teyvat (Polarian) as the 1 cycle (that celestia doesn't want us to know).

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +2

      Oh trust me, it took me two days to do that. Editing the images was a piece of cake, it took like half an hour, but putting the characters in the right position took me 2 days. I had my brother's account as the camera, and my account with the characters on my tablet, and it is nearly impossible to get them in the right position XD
      Thank you, I'm happy you liked the video! Thank you, really XD
      The problem with the samsaras is that we're still in the 5th, so why would there be all seven of them? Considering that there is a winged being in the middle and that, technically, most angels in the Bible are huge and weird eyes in the sky, it made more sense to me that those eyes on the murals may be higher beings, so the shades and maybe the Descenders.
      They will have to tell us about this part of the lore sooner or later! It's probably the secret Murata is going to share with us (hopefully)

    Ruggiero was also a descendant of Este.
    In Orlando Inamorato, Ruggiero is the head of the house of Este.

    It's crazy how fascinating, lore-heavy and well-written the World Quests are compared to most other quests that involve the actual playable characters in Genshin. I don't understand why MiHoyo doesn't have voice overs for them *when they carry the bulk of Genshin's world building.* It would make the quests feel less like a chore if they were just *voiced.*
    And before anyone pulls that "just read, dumb-dumb" card. There are people who mentally cannot do that (hello ADHD-friends). Having to sit down and read all that text can actually be AGONIZING. I, personally, process things better when I can actually listen to people talk- it's why I need these kind of videos to break down the lore for me.
    I also still don't get the logic of having these lore-heavy quests and not involving the playable characters at all. Ironically, most of the NPCs from these World Quests feel more fleshed out than most of the playable characters (Jeht is way more interesting and a better character than Kazuha, Ayaka, and Ayato combined. I will die on this hill.)
    Why not involve playable characters in this kind of content? Or design these NPCs to eventually be playable? Just screams missed opportunity all around.

      Okay, i have some crazy thoughts as I as I finished playing the Desert quests, wouldn't it be insane if Jeht, Sorush and even Rana became an actual playable characters?
      Like think about it, the world quest is pretty much their own Story Quests, like Jeht literally having a trilogy, how Sorush became more mature and responsible, and the whole Aranara quest is pretty much Rana's backstory before she gets her vision.
      I think it would elevate those stories further if they were to become playable characters, it's 2 birds in one stone, delivering important worldbuilding quests while also giving interesting playable characters you have spent time connecting and and getting to know them, it's genius.
      What I have a problem with Sumeru's SQ and AQ is that it mostly happens in the rainforest area, which is quite a shame, cuz the desert is honestly have some really cool spectacles not utilized often.

      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +3

      I would also love to have the world quests dubbed, not because I have a hard time reading or anything, it's just that it doesn't really make sense for me that, in a game with voice-overs, there are quests without it.
      The updates would be extremely huge if they dubbed everything, but it's also true that these quests are really heavy with lore...
      As for the playable characters not being involved, I don't think that's bad. I mean, they don't have to be everywhere and a they don't really make a quest better just because they're in it.

      @@skygazer8549 I am, indeed, waiting for Rana to become playable, I've been waiting since she got her vision to be honest.
      Now that I think about it, I still need to finish the last quest about Jeht... Back then, I thought it was over, but months later, I realized that there was one last mission to be done...
      As for Sumeru, Cyno's story quest is happening in the desert, so I guess they're finally using it again. I grew up playing Tomb Raider, which means missions in the desert, so to me, seeing the desert of Sumeru, feels like home. I've always felt good with the desert landscape XD

    • @pinkraven7043
      @pinkraven7043 Месяц назад +1

      @@ShadowX5452Gaming It's not that I think adding playable characters to these specific quests would make them better. It's that if they're going to have quests that focus on world building, it would be a great opportunity to use them to expand on the playable characters that have connections/can be involved with the lore and to really expand on them as characters. They don't even have to be the focus, just have a part.
      Like if there's going to be a quests that explore the ancient history of Fontaine, I'd like to see Neuvilette be involved even a little. Him meeting Scylla would be cool and expand more on the dragon lore.
      Or if there's quests that dive deeper into the history of the desert and Desheret, I'd like to know what Dehya, Candace, or Cyno would think, do or how they'd react.
      Or if there's going to be another quest involving the Aranara. Since its confirmed he can see them, it would be interesting to have Wanderer involved as a way to develop his character. And Nahida too- I'd like to see how the Aranara behave around her.
      And it doesn't have to be region specific. There's quests like Remuria that really dive into the inevitability of fate in Teyvat. Even if it is just for expostion, I would like to see a lore-heavy quest where Mona can really dive into fate and the stars as she and Barbeloth percieve them. And maybe even have her beliefs either challenged or validated by Teyvat's ancient history.
      Stuff like that. Again, I'm not saying we should've had them for the world quests we already have. Just that there's a lot of potential lost by not including the characters in any quest that has to do with Genshin's lore. I do love these characters and I want to see them be involved in some of the world building.
      Ideally that's what character story quests or events could be for, but those tend to be hit or miss. Especially the event quests lately...

    The more we learn about Remuria and Remus, the more I wish we could’ve known more about pre-split Focalors (Focarina? Furilors?). A lot of sentences and elements in this quest made me think of her and her sacrifice: Remus, despite his best intentions, could have never stopped the prophecy because he was too focused on *stopping* fate from happening. I also wonder what were Egeria’s thoughts in stopping the prophecy, if she had ever any glimmer of hope to solve the mess she created. Focalors knew she had to let fate come pass: the deluge had to happen, and the people’s sin would get washed away. I found it really cool how in the WQ there were so many lines about fate being inevitable, and how not even gods could defy it… and yet!
    Also, now I’m very curious about the possible erasure of Egeria from Irminsul… You mentioned it mid video and it was all I could think about for the rest of it! I can’t wait for the next interlude, hoping they’ll give us something juicy…

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, it would be nice to know what Focalors was before she split herself, but I think in 4.7 we will most likely get something about Egeria, since she's the one talking in the Overture, and we've also been learning about her since Sumeru.
      I don't think Egeria thought she would have ever been able to defeat the prophecy. She probably knew that wasn't happening, because Nabu Malikata could see the future and they were friends. That's why she left everything if Focalors's hands, someone extremely smart, someone who could think outside the box, and also someone who wouldn't have thought twice about sacrificing herself to make it happen.
      As for Egeria being forgotten, I'm also very curious about it. I worry, though, that they will erase Egeria like they did with Rukkhadevata, turning Focalors as the only Hydro Archon ever, and turning Furina back into an Archon. It would be really sad, since she's now fully enjoying her human life, what Focalors wanted her to experience. It would feel like spitting in her face, if that happened. And what makes me worry even more, is that Egeria is ALWAYS referred to as Lord of Sweet Dew, which means that, if there is an Irminsul change again, everything is set so that they don't have to change too many things in books all over the place, just like Rukkhadevata is almost always referred as Lord of Verdure....

    • @nic1808
      @nic1808 Месяц назад +1

      @@ShadowX5452Gaming I think Furina possibly turning back to an Archon is extremely unlikely (not saying impossible because, well, this is Genshin- but the closest thing to it): the hydro throne was destroyed and the authority went back to the sovereign. To make her the hydro archon once again would mean the hydro seat must be restored, and the authority of the element would go back to Celestia, aka Neuvillette would be defeated. It’s something I cannot see happening, honestly. At the very max I could potentially see her ascend to godhood, she does have a vision now- but then again, can a sovereign vision allow someone to ascend to Celestia? The usurpers?
      As someone who really likes Furina (and Focalors by extension) I’m personally not a fan of the “she should simply go live a human life away from everything” approach, mostly because I would love to see her get her memories back (best case scenario) or at least get some information about her past. Not to mention that she was a victim of Celestia too! Focalors did say she would’ve wanted to judge the HP, so I think Furina would share this wish as well, given the opportunity. AH, SORRY FOR THE FURINA CENTERED RAMBLE, LOL!
      Anyway, while I am extremely curious about the Egeria-erasure theory, I feel like it would be a bit… I don’t know, lazy? Maybe it’s not the right word. But I think it would be weird to just… repeat (some of) the events that made Sumeru so unique.

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад

      @@nic1808 I completely agree, Furina can't go back to being an Archon because it would undo everything that was done.
      As for her living a human life, even though you don't like this approach, it's what Focalors wanted for Furina, it was her final wish, the reward she wanted but couldn't have, so what she wished for Furina before she sacrificed herself.
      Of course, Furina is never going to live a perfectly normal life, she was still the Archon for 500 years, she has a different, unique vision, but I think she should be allowed to live the most human possible life she can.
      Though, this doesn't mean that she should be treated like a random 5star character. Her next story quest in 4.7, has to be about Egeria. Not gonna lie, there's a change that were getting Neuvillette's story quest act II instead of Furina's. At the end of the day, Egeria has more in common with Neuvillette rather than Furina....
      As for the erasure, yes it would be similar, but I would hope they'll do something different, like a completely different reason or a completely different way to do it, still using Irminsul, even though I would prefer Egeria not to be forgotten. Still, Nabu Malikata did prophesied it, so...

    Thank you for this video, I've been having some serious trouble following along a lot of Fontaine story quests, ironically I feel like in a general sense I'm more lost on Fontaine's lore than Sumeru, even though I'm Italian and a lot of the terminology used in these more recent patches should have been more familiar.
    As always Genshin keeps making this error of not giving us an outsider who's ignorant of the terminology that can ask wtf those words all mean stringed together (or at least a way to word and reword the same concepts by asking different people).
    Like our first conversations about these topics to the only NPC around cannot be "ah yes [thing] is needed because [person] did [action]" and if you don't have like all the books and scattered lore scraps memorized from months ago you're still forced to go.. 'OK, cool, let's move on' and by the time you're at the end and you maybe understand some of the initial terminology better another 20 new words were thrown at you.

      Fontaine lore was actually pretty complicated, but I think everything will keep growing more complicated every update, since we're path halfway through the story.
      I think that being Italian and knowing those words, when it comes to Genshin Impact, doesn't really help in the end. I'm Italian as well, and I still had to make an effort to understand how they were using those terms in the game, since sometimes they take on a completely different meaning. I guess that explaining everything is basically our work here on RUclips XD
      But I do agree they should make an effort to at least remind us things from the past, so that we can follow along. Even though I've read almost everything in the game, I still need to revisit a lot of things before I can fully understand everything. It definitely didn't happen 500 years ago, because that's when Egeria died.

    the thing is that Remuria was basically trying to do the same thing as Deshret but with a different method. As far as I understand the symphony was very much intended as a "Golden Slumber" and this is a recurrent theme in Genshin were all beings wants to be one. Fanes came in contact with this world and did not understand forbidden knowledge therefore he created humans. But the issue with that is that he used the divine spark to achieve that and that is why humans seek the knowledge from which they came because we are hardwired to do that. The dragons are frustrated with the archons because they chose to protect humanity against the Abyss. The Abyss in this context is the world of Theyvat's safety mechanism designed to reset Irminsul. Now this is mentioned in game as the natural order. It is unclear to me that anything we have seen in game so far can disrupt this from happening.
    The constitution of Theyvat. It has been hinted many times in game that Theyvat is made of elemental energy stones have memories therefore it's a form of a vision, have to regard landmass as living tissue in Genshin. Therefore disrupting fate has direct consequences of how Theyvat is shaped and structured. Now I believe the Gnosis hold the reality confined within itself it is why everything seems related to dreams. It's almost like the gods decided that humanity should only exist as a dream to protect the real world from harm. Tsaritsas ultimate quest is therefore to shatter this dream and get back to what is referred to as the "old world"
    But the gods likely did not take precautions to shelter Theyvat for no reason at all now I believe we are getting close to this happening in game and it should start with Dottore burning down Irminsul I think that will eventually wake up the heavenly principles. And after that I think the gods had enough with humanity, Theyvat is basically a giant simulation to reach absolution to come back to heaven no coincidence that everyone's fate in Theyvat is filled with regret and grief.

      sorry for replying after so much time, I've been quite busy these days.
      So, I Remus did something similar to what Deshret did, but his attempt was, honestly, better. He wanted to tweak fate while still adhering to the rules of Teyvat and, if not for Boethius, I think he would have probably managed to do something concrete. I don't really see the Golden Slumber theme here, because the people didn't want to become one, nor did Remus try to link their consciousnesses into one single hive. The load was supposed to be placed on Phobos's shoulder as a guide for everyone, rather than having everyone share their minds with each other.
      I think you're referring to the Primordial One as Phanes, which is not how I interpret Before Sun and Moon, to me the Primordial One and Phanes are two beings, but still, I don't think the Primordial One couldn't understand Forbidden Knowledge. He's from beyond Teyvat (I mean, one of his shade created it), so he knows what Forbidden Knowledge is. I believe he created the humans because he was carrying their souls/memories in the Ark, but because he knew what Forbidden Knowledge is capable of, he excluded it from Teyvat, turning it into a taboo that no one should be allowed to pursue.
      I think the Dragons, most of them, oppose the Archons because they are creations of the Heavenly Principles, so who stole the world that had already been stolen from them by the Primordial One. I don't really know why you think the Abyss's function is to reset Irminsul, though.
      As for Teyvat being made of Elemental energy stones, I would disagree with it. I believe that it was created with the Primordial Sand (there's a domain in Inazuma that talks about it). The Elemental Stones are, most likely, the result of the energies that flow through the leylines, because I think they are the Geo version of the Primordial Sea, the concentration of a Primordial Element. Although I agree that Teyvat is, more or less, living tissue, I don't think that disrupting fate (the way Remus tried to) would affect it. Different is Deshret's attempt, because it involved a form of energy that shouldn't exist in Teyvat and, as a consequence, is capable of destroying it.
      As for the Tsaritsa, I don't think her goal lies in going back to the Old World. I think she simply wants to save whoever she lost during the Cataclysm. Pierro is the one who wants to destroy Teyvat and release the microcosm on the Old World, as it was supposed to from its inception.
      Dottore burning Irminsul is, most likely, going to be the first step to achieve Pierro's secret goal, that I agree with, which will awaken the Heavenly Principles, since it's finally something that will put Teyvat in danger, but I also think that the real goal is Istaroth, the one who can travel back in time, someone who will be able to help the Tsaritsa in her goal, but also Pierro by sending him back to the one moment in history when a huge concentration of Forbidden Knowledge lied in one single place, something he would need to destroy the microcosm.

However it's also possible that they are being led by someone they think is great but really is not, and I am more drawn to that idea it fits with the narrative of being a Fatui, and he is named the Jester it also sets up for more conflict in the future were I personally think Dottore is going to make an attempt to rise in rank. However Hoyoverse might be doing word games here, were hero is a villain a clown is a hero and a friend is an enemy. How much Tsaritsa is aware of the current situation is unknown.
      I think some characters in game have a lot more information than we do as players. I think Tsaritsa was looking for a crimson moon descendant arlecchino and set up a plan in motion to make her a harbinger but it doesn't seem likely that Arlecchino hasn't figured that out. Is the House of the Hearth an attempt to revive the crimson moon dynasty it seems likely. Even more so when she says that Lyney has conviction but not enough skill yet. But it also seem likely that Tsaritsa is aware of everything that goes on that is why I think the quest was mentioning spying. Spying for whom and why.

      @@alexanderericson8628 it's in either a voice-line or a character story about Arlecchino. He says that he pursued academic knowledge (meaning he became a scholar) and he came across Hierobranto Innamorato (I think this is the way he said the name of the book, which is different from how it's called inside the book).
      Pierro being the jester and being the first Fatuus, is a tricky situation. Both names imply that he's tricking someone, that he has ulterior, hidden goals, something that it's clear that he has, everybody most likely figured it out, but no one knows what exactly these goals are. To that end, I believe that the Tsaritsa, first and foremost, is the one being tricked, but also the one who's allowing him to trick her just to get what she desperately wants.
      Of course, there's a lot that the characters are not telling us, which is actually normal. I mean, these are secrets and, despite the fact that the traveler has become their friends, it doesn't mean that the have to share everything, even things that they can't talk about.
      Still, I don't think Arlecchino has been chosen to revive the Crimson Moon, nor that teaching Lyney is a step toward that goal. Certainly, Pierro must be very interested in Arlecchino's ancestry and her unique powers, but it feels (at least to me) that she's just useful to his cause, yet another tool.
      As for Lyney, I think it's because Arlecchino sees his worth as the head of the House of the Hearth, not as a future Harbinger. I don't think she's more loyal to the Tsaritsa rather than her children, so she's mainly thinking about them and, as she said, she's going to go against the Fatui to protect the children without thinking about it twice.
      We still don't have enough to be sure about what's going on, these are just personal interpretations for now

    15:55 why do you think there was another flood of the High Waters prior to Remuria? Or that this was a punishment? Or that Egeria was locked up because of creating fake human Oceanids? Or that there were many such floodings of the High waters? I mean you asked why Remus didn't build elsewhere but that really goes for the barbarians doesn't it? If you know an area frequently suffers floods that wipe everyone out why live there? Also how does that work? If the people are all Oceanids how do they die to a normal water flood? Or if it was a Primordial Water flood they would be turned back to Oceanids, right? Or if the oceanid hybrids drown like regular humans aren't they all dead after the first flood so where do they come from for the second and other floods? Regular humans could (stupidly and tragically) repopulate the High Water islands between floods but there's no other place than Fontaine that had Oceanid-human hybrids is there?
    So to be clear you think Egeria is "punished" and her punishment is (1) imprisoned (2) her people drowned (3) again (4) and again (5) and again (6) and again (7) and also they had a prophecy that they would be drowned. Why would they care about the prophecy? yeah no shit they are going to be drowned again. Why would people stay around. It makes no sense.
    And what's with the Celestial Nail stuff? You said at the time the mural of the Nail was in Fontaine but we know now it was the Chasm like everyone figured. And what result do you think this Nail had? You suggest that it causes the flooding but then that contradicts the flooding being caused as a punishment.

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +1

      you do realize that when Remus arrived in Fontaine, he met Sybilla, the survivor of the FIRST DELUGE, right? do you need more proof than that to know that there was a flood before Remuria, or should we talk about the fact that Fontaine was destroyed by a flood after Egeria created the Oceanid-People? and what kind of better proof do you need to know that Egeria was imprisoned in the Primordial Sea because she went against the Heavenly Principles? I mean, the whole Remuria thing is based on the fact that she wasn't present in Fontaine because she was punished for her sin and she was freed only after Remus died....
      And no, it doesn't apply to the barbarians, because they were reduced to primitive people, so they wouldn't have even thought about leaving without the means to do so, and it's their land, they are the natives, and they were waiting for Egeria to come back and save them.
      They don't die of normal water. The flood is not just water rising, there's Primordial Water in it as well. Both in Remuria and in Fontaine, we clearly saw that the prelude to the deluge, is Primordial Water mixing with normal water. Cassiodor specifically says that he went with his companions to contain the Primordial Water that was leaking, which was the beginning of the flood. Do you remember Poisson in 2.2? Same thing.
      I guess that being loyal to the god that created you is something you wouldn't even consider... yes, Egeria was punished with imprisonment in the Primordial Sea, which means "we created you to use the Primordial Sea, you defied us, so now you're staying here where you're needed, but we're taking away your freedom", and her people were cyclically drowned by floods, turning them back into Oceanids, and eventually they would have all reverted back, so the new, unauthorized race of humans would have disappeared.
      People "figuring" out that the Nail in Chenyu Vale's murals was the one from the Chasm, doesn't mean that it is actually the one from the Chasm. Something doesn't become true just because a lot of people convince themselves, so unless we are specifically told that it's the one in the Chasm, you can't claim any confirmation based on shared assumptions. Still, what was your question? why didn't the people of the High Waters go away, knowing that they would have been destroyed by the next flood? Well, some of them could have simply gone away and settled to the NEAR Chenyu Vale. As for the Nail, it doesn't contradict anything. it's not like the Nails just fell off from somewhere by chance and landed, by chance again, in specific places of the world. They were sent down, hence the punishment, but also their main purpose: fix what's wrong with the world.

    11:43 All the genies are female in this game. It's common for lesser servitor races to be all of one sex. In fact the only exception I can think of offhand is the Aranara who are of both sexes, I guess, which is a bit silly since I really doubt they have sexual reproduction, so it's pointless. I suspect even Fischl's GAA2 raven race are all male, though since they are all actors too, it's hard to say. They have that Shakesperian era vibe where the female roles are all played by young men.
    Beside that problem is that Remus' personality is clearly that of a god and contrary to that of a genie. He has a desire to create and lead and protect and love a nation of humans. Genies have no such desire. In fact the most famous one destroys a nation on more or less a whim, and accidentally, while doing something else.
    Also the genie are not recorded outside of the Sumeru desert. They agreed to serve Deshret as a group. None of them rebelled against this group decision. Deshret is never recorded having to run down and capture genie.
    A genie wouldn't be bossing around a Seelie since in the end they are merely the daughters of a Seelie. But if they ever did I would expect them to have more understanding about the fickle nature of the Seelie, (whereas the entire disaster only happens because Remus is clueless about Seelie) and more than that, the genie themselves are far worse as far as that goes.
    Genie would be a lot more likely to not try and challenge fate since they have a better idea what it is about. In fact the relationship between Deshret and Goddess of Flowers is very similar to the relationship between Remus and Sybilla, precisely because it's the same relationship between a god-king and a Seelie survivor, with the same issues. it's almost the same story based on the same dynamic. The main difference is that Sybilla starts of knowing Remus is going to mess up and tells him immediately - whereas Goddess of Flowers takes about two minutes to say that to Deshret.
    Gods and Genie are pretty much opposites when it comes to their nature and behaviour.
    13:39 because fate dictated his actions obviously

      Not all jinni are female, it is said that there are both male and female jinni in the game. I can't find where it is said right now, but I'll write it when I can.
      Just because Liloupar destroyed Gurabad, doesn't mean that every single Jinni has to be like her.
      There's also no proof that says that every single Jinni decided to help him, we just know that the Jinni accepted his ruling when Nabu Malikata died. That doesn't exclude the possibility of one of them not accepting, nor it is ever been said that Deshret forced them to be bottled, so if one ran away, he had no reason to catch him.
      Remus never bossed Sybilla around, she went along with his requests. That's way different than "bossing around". She decided to follow him, she decided to sacrifice herself, and in the end, she decided to rebel against him, so if anything, he was in the palm of her hands. He went to her for help, he asked her what to do.
      The Jinni don't have a better idea of what fate is just because they were born from a seelie.
      Besides, Remus was a singer of the oasis, so he was a being that lived with Nabu Malikata. The only supernatural beings recorded to have lived with her in her oasis, are the Jinni. We've never really told of any gods in Sumeru except for the three.
      And there's the fact that the supernatural beings, like the Youkai, the Adepti, the Aranara and also the Jinni, are basically as powerful as God's, they both have long lives and inner powers, so this could be a case in which a supernatural decided to become a God.
      You keep saying that Gods are benevolent toward humans because they're gods, but that makes no sense. Look at the God from Chenyu Vale. She wanted to kill everyone in Qiaoying village just to have a chance at defeating Morax. If you call that benevolent....

    14:04 this theory seems unsupported by evidence and over complex. The far simpler explanation is that because Egeria was in some sense a fake dragon Sovereign, so a real Sovereign couldn't be born for the same reason that a real dragon Sovereign of Water can't be born when there's already a real Dragon Sovereign of Water living. No need to talk about authorities or halves of anything or introduce new questions like why on earth would the Primordial One grab only half of the authority?
    I notice you're on your "the Fontemer is a person" idea again but I think the update made it pretty clear it is just a place like saying "the Ocean".
    Instead you have to make up another six personalities that represent the other 6 elements but aren't the Sovereigns - I guess 7 more if you have on for Nibelung. So why doesn't the Primordial One fight against these personalities? You've basically double up your dragons by saying there has to be a sort of double dragon to explain the first set of dragons. Reminds me of the theory that there's a second set of Archons. There's no need to keep inventing second sets of things.

So, I still believe that the Primordial Sea created a Dragon Sovereign, a real one, only when the whole authority wasn't in the same spot anymore, so when Egeria left. Cassiodor specifically says that a new dragon can't be born as long as Egeria was in the Primordial Sea, so, as you said, the "far simpler explanation" has to do with location, not with existence.
      As always, you twist my words, even those that can't be twisted. Saying that the Primordial Sea is sentient, doesn't make it a person. It's a concentration of pure elemental power, and it reacts with the Dragon Authority, so it has a minimum amount of sentience. I think I made it pretty clear that the Fontemer is the Primordial Sea, and still you failed to understand that....
      I don't even know what you're talking about here. Remus being dominated by Deshret SPEAKS A LOT of his motive. Inferiority complex drove him to the point of xenocide. He was so desperate he believed in the illusion of grandeur provided by Sybilla.

    • @ShadowX5452Gaming
      @ShadowX5452Gaming  Месяц назад +3

      I honestly see it completely differently. Remus didn't even want to live anymore, he was looking for a place to die, so he certainly wasn't trying to get back at Deshret for what he had done.
      As for Sybilla, she never really gave him illusions of grandeur. She was clear from the beginning and kept being clear about it as long as she was alive. His fate said that he would have built a great nation destined, just like everything on Teyvat, to fall, and that there was nothing to do, nor anything that should have been done about it, really. It's the normal natural course of events, something that should have been accepted. If anything, it was Sybilla that basically did everything he wanted, fully knowing it would have been useless because that fate was going to pass no matter what. Maybe Sybilla, considering she was a seelie with nothing left, not even herself really, just went along, just to give some meaning to what was left of her, maybe she just wanted to be useful on the offchance that he actually managed to do something about it. She even sacrificed herself for the cause.

    22:06 btw - why do you think Irminsul only gets the memories of the dead? We're told repeatedly that Irminsul has records of people who are still alive. We're told the reason there's no record of the Traveler is because they are a Descender - not because they aren't dead yet. Again the records of the Sibling don't imply the Sibling is dead. Scaramouche/Wanderer has records to delete but he is not dead. etc, etc.
    22:18 I think the Irminsul/Nahida is a computer thing needs to be put to bed. It was very silly. But if you are hanging on to that then why didn't you make the obvious connection with Sybilla being able to make many calculations? Nahida is not computer themed. She is dreams and wisdom themed. the two are completely different. I don't if you ever noticed but Genshin Impact is a fantasy story, not a science fiction story.
    Your theory about stuff inside domains of consciousness not being subject to fate is missing the point of timey-wimey stuff. It doesn't matter at all if eg Makoto, Ei, Rukkhadevata, Nahdia or Focalors has a little private world where they can plot away. Because fate doesn't operate by controlling behaviour in order to control the outcome. Fate operates by directly controlling the outcome. All that plotting can take place out in the open. Fate isn't spying on people. Fate is not trying to thwart people's plans. It merely determines outcomes (sometimes).
    24:38 Neuvillette can't even control his own form -- and he has Hydro powers. He cannot change fate, or at least no more than eg Scaramouche can, which isn't zero but isn't very good. The dragon sovereigns are not equivalent to Descenders. if they were they would never have lost.
    25:04 The cataclysm was predicted by Goddess of Flowers and the Sal Vindagnyr princess.
    25:50 Egeria has not been forgotten (not in the sense that Rukkhadevata was at least). Therefore the line to Simurgh about them being forgotten doesn't mean anything about Irminsul deletion.
    Even though it's my theory that I've been pushing since Inazuma about fate, I wouldn't particularly say the Harp analogy is meant to be the same as a description of "rubber sheet" time travel rules (as opposed to "butterfly effect" rules). But I guess you can see it that way. I think they just wanted to put in some word play that was music themed.
    But if you go that way the point of the harp analogy is that at the extremes the strings are fixed, but in the middle they can move around. So you get some "free will" where the Gods Gaze doesn't fall but you also have inescapable fate at the places the strings are attached.
    The dog metaphor misses the point. Fate doesn't stop you doing stuff, it stops you changing the outcomes (of the fixed points - you can change the outcomes that aren't fixed). fate doesn't need to calculate these outcomes. It fixes the outcomes. If you like it's everything else that has to be "calculated" to "fill in the gaps" but the fixed points themselves are fixed already. There's nothing to calculate.
    -----------------------------
    Now what has any of this got to do with Irminsul editing the memories of everyone on the planet? What has it got to do with Irminsul editing the physical world to change any physical evidence that people's memories are out of sync with the physical world? The answer is nothing. The answer is that the whole theory of Irminsul editing memories instead of fate itself is and always was bullshit. You're being forced to agree with me about fate and it's importance but for no reason at all you insist that in Sumeru the game developers just did something completely different, and then went back to fate for Fontaine, even though Nicole and Nahida say what happens in Fontaine is the same as in Sumeru (by referencing both episodes together or using the same words)
    (I'm ignoring junk about the 3 Greek fates and the 3 moon sisters and other completely unsupported by evidence supposition based on the idea that Genshin Devs plagiarize real world mythology instead of making up their own stories - that wouldn't be a productive discussion because you'd just say "oh that's only for fun" which you do say about 6 minutes into that last chapter I guess. If you ever come up with a theory from all that "fun" which actually sticks I'll consider it at that point)
    Do you ever wonder why- after 5 nations we have not one historic (not mythological) reference to any of these "moon sisters" in the same way we do for example of descenders, seelies, shades, dragons, Rhinedottir's monsters and a big narwhal? If they exist or existed when is the game going to bring them into the narrative? Next year? The year after? Every year that goes by the negative argument gets stronger and stronger.

      if Irminsul reuses the memories it has to create new beings, what do you think the current, living beings are? they don't need to die to give Irminsul data, they are data of someone who died, reused by Irminsul. As for Lumine, the END of her journey has been hidden to Nahida, and as such, it can mean that she underwent some kind of existential change that can be compared to some kind of death, so she now seems to be from Teyvat. By the way, I also never said that Irminsul ONLY gets information from the dead. I did say that Irminsul can gather information from the living, reason why Focalors used the Inner World to keep things away from both Irminsul and the Heavenly Principles.
      whatever, man, I'm not even going to press on this. Maybe you should put to bed your high horses when you believe yourself to be in change of deciding what is right and what is wrong. The game is fantasy, but as such it needs to be tied to reality to make it believable. If you are willing to close your eyes every time Nahida steps on the keyboard and uses a mouse cursor in her attacks, so be it, but the pedestal you put yourself on is getting unbelievably high. Careful when you'll eventually fall from it, when you'll realize that at least some of the things you say are wrong. Take Arlecchino as an example: you looked down on me for not believing she had two different personalities with two different constellations, and it turned out to be completely wrong. what did you do? you blamed the writers to have changed the story at the last second. I was completely wrong about why she was "father", and I easily said in the video that I was wrong about it. that's the difference.
      Fate isn't spying on people, it just gathers data and calculates different results. If those calculations happened, Focalors wouldn't have been allowed to destroy a seat, hence the inner world has a meaning, which is what Nicole literally told us during the quest. But you're selectively blind and deaf, so of course you're arbitrarily ignoring that, so obviously Focalors had nothing better to do, so she decided to put Furina in eternal loneliness with such a burden on her shoulders for no reason whatsoever, just for fun. That surely makes perfectly sense!
      and yet Neuvillette changed the Prophecy, turned the people into real humans, and no one died. Yeah, he's powerless and useless, I guess....
      yes, they predicted that there was something that was going to happen, but they couldn't see what it would have caused. EXACTLY what I said in the video, but that you clearly ignored.
      Egeria hasn't been forgotten YET, unless you're playing Genshin Impact version 7.8 and you've already seen everything there was to see.
      of course, the major thing around which the entirety of Remuria revolves, has been downplayed to "just a harp reference because they probably like music"....
      yes, the whole thing about Remuria was changing Fate while still being within the realm of the rules of Teyvat, differently from using Forbidden Knowledge that could change Fate through a power that doesn't and shouldn't exist in Teyvat.
      I'm nor commenting on the dog example, I stand for what I said in this case.
      aaaand, there you go, I was expecting this comment, what a coincidence... but, just to steal your ever so delicate manner of speech, I think everything you said in this section is the actual bullshit. As I said before, you are literalli IX the Nihility, nothing matters, nothing makes sense, nothing is good, nothing. You even go to the length of calling culture "junk". I'm so sorry for you, I will ALWAYS talk about culture, mythology, religions, legends, history in my videos. This channel exists to also bring culture to the people, not just the game. So, if you're so allergic to any hint of real life culture, at least do me the favor and just ignore it, instead of saying something as ignorant as "junk" referring to culture.
      Has the game come to and end? is it already over? no, it isn't. just because they haven't talked about the three moons in specific yet, it doesn't mean that they never will. when will they do it? we don't know. what we know is that it has NOTHING to do with you. You don't get to decide when the writers, the actual people who are busting their asses to make a good storytelling for those who actually appreciate their work and don't try to find the smallest faults, even inventing them just to have something negative to say, are going to talk about the moon. They will talk about them when the right time comes. You can either wait for it or simply stop playing if you don't like the way they're writing it. but you don't get, in any possible world, to criticize their choices, when all you're doing is just playing the game. It's also a free game, so you can't even say "I paid for it, give me what I want".
      I'll say it again: if you stopped for a moment in your pointless crusade against the writers and actually played the game, MAYBE you would enjoy it for the first time ever...

      I honestly don't think genshin impact has a bad story telling at all. Some things that are supposed not to be easy to understand for the people of Teyvat, are explained in a complicated way, and I think that happens to give us the idea of how difficult those concepts are in their reality.
      Still, if you analyze those things carefully, they are not impossible to understand or to figure out, it's just the wording that makes them hard to get on the first time.
      On the other hand, easy concepts that are not as important, are told in a very easy, light way.
      This, to me at least, is a good story telling, because it gives us the feeling of how important or how not important some things are.
