It feels like to me one of the programmers over at DE were like "what did you want the crit chance on the incarnon to be?" and the response they got was "I dont know, 10% more than the soma prime?", and they heard 10%, put it in, and moved on
It just seems flawed design to make 2 weapons in one while forcing the same build onto them lmao, you’d think they would of made it a crit machine or at least work with the hatya mod
The most interesting part of this video was brozime talking about updating old tile sets. I think that would be so cool.
I've been waiting for years for Grineer asteroid and galleon tilesets
@@Psycorde It would be the 3rd Grineer tile set rework I think. I would not mind if the added more instead of rework them.
The weapon would be fine if hata satya worked in the incarnon form. You'd fully stack it in about 15 shots and have 80% crit chance for the rest of the mag.
Isn't Hata Satya additive crit chance? So it would reach 500% crit chance just like on normal Soma?
Either way, want to be clear. I do want it to work with Incarnon. I love the mod and I want to keep using my Energized Munitions Gauss Super fire rate build.
@@draknusdesderdus7506 it stacks additively with other crit chance mods. Full 500% on Hata Satya would give +50% crit chance. And ammo efficiency doesn't work with incarnon forms of weapons
The burston and soma incarnon forms should LITERALLY be flipped. The Soma shifting into a higher gear explosive mini-gun would be soooo satisfying
It might step on the toes of what Braton Incarnon becomes, but who am I to argue against a good firing mode?
@@craigkuhlman6869 it’s more from a design perspective. I know they’re not gonna do this. The Burston being a burst fire shotgun would’ve been really cool. It’s just odd that the Burston turns into a better Soma, while the soma gets this awkward side grade.
FULLER auto
@@kennethfocarino7075 yeah love the "oh we reworking old weapons to make them good again" being just random content that will be forgotten (talking about some guns not incarnon system itself). Classic DE to shit out tons of content no one asked for, is interested in or will remember after 1month.
@@zDemoGODz I feel like the incarnon system is quite good, but I think there’s too many optional guns, if you wanted all the incarnons, it would take legit three months. Also, there’s no transparency when picking. There should literally be a video of what it looks like when you hover over the selection.
Also Duviri itself is EXACTLY what your talking about. I’ve only played Duviri as far as farming for incarnon recourses, and I’m max rank on all intrinsics already. It’s also not deep enough of a side game to work on its own, you realize how shallow the gameplay is rather quickly. I was also playing with a friend that doesn’t have steel path, and it struck me, my friend gets literally nothing from playing The Duviri Experience. Aside from farmable weapons, there’s nothing for him. When you play the other open worlds, at least you get common recourses and mods. There should at least be weekly 10k endo or 1 mill credit options in the Duviri vendor. No forma blueprints, actually give Forma. Maybe WF and Weapon slots. Literally Anything.
funny how the more anticipated weapon seems to have subpar incarnon, like the atomos and soma, if they dont wanna make those already viable weapon too powerful, maybe they should've avoided genesis for those weapons to begin with.
from what ive seen atomos is great?
@@DarcyMH Atomos is fine. It just doesn't scale well because there's no good way to get slash procs. Crushes regular steel path well enough, as does the soma.
Atomos has a perk that doesn't work, not quite the same thing
@@deathspade42 atomos is still a base heat chaining beam weapon which is absolutely enough to scale past base steel path. That’s disregarding the incarnon mode which is great for killing acolytes
I wonder if they'll do one for the Nukor.
In regards to that conversation about making stuff like useless mods relevant I heavily agree with what you're proposing. There's a significant amount of areas of the game that don't have good mod drops and it would be nice to have a reason to go there besides potentially doing your lich.
@@Ninja_Pro honestly it needs a revamp. There's almost no reason to be there besides farming corrupted vor or relics.
@@SoccYT where they taking abt the void?
i have a STRONG feelin the busrton and the soma incarnons got switched at last minute, it makes so much more since when u flip them
If the base 24% status chance option applied as "24% per pellet" and we could hop back and forth between bleed rifle and status hose it probably could have worked, though may still have been a bit underwhelming... As is, definitely sad at the wasted potential.
It's one thing for there to be slightly underwhelming or niche choices but having "bad" choices is pretty rough. Switching to incarnon is straight up deciding "Yes, I would like to make my weapon worse, thank you."
Burston Gang Where We At?!
Burston Incarnon = Soma 2.0
Right here
Brrbrrbrr
Brrbrrbrr
Soma prime is certainly an incarnon choice for this week. Burston reigns supreme
I wouldn't be surprised if a patch next week's makes this better, it does seem best to avoid it this time, maybe get it next time it's an option when hopefully it's fixed.
Oh how wrong you were
A lot of the Incarnons are bugged
I do believe the Braton Incarnon still is.
oozing copium
@@banqsterz8160 not copium at all. The torrid is bugged to stack it's incarnon while in incarnon mode sometimes. A lot of these are bugged.
Sona isn't bugged, hata satya maybe for incarnon
@@banqsterz8160 What copium? The first and third evolution of the Braton don't work properly. The evolution of the Braton doesn't apply the passive damage or the ammo efficiency. The third states that it's active when you have less than 50% crit chance, it is active regardless of your crit chance.
I’m glad I believed in the burston more solely based on looks alone.
when the gun is so underwhelming that you focus more on the conversation about diamond skin, and warm coat.
The incarnon version is just not the soma, so even if they buff it I'm just going to stick to it's base form. Wish it had some form of dmg transfer
Thankfully this was partially addressed in recent updates. Hata Satya does apply to the Incarnon form now. It's still not the best incarnon, but it is far more useable.
Man, my will was getting weaker and I was looking for another review of the soma incarnon and then the Lord decided to be merciful
DE need to fix/buff Soma Incarnon Form cause this is soo unacceptable.
that sound bug at 15:13 has happened to me before i had the exact same reaction lmao
I really wanted to go back to the Soma glory days. Nostalgia denied.
All they need to do to fix the weapon is bump up the incarnon crit chance to 30 same as the base and let hatya satya work on the incarnon form and maybe bump the incarnon status chance a little
BOLTOR WINS! After all these years it’s finally Boltors time to shine as the supreme old Tenno primary!
I, like a few others were intrigued by those theories to revive old tiles. But this is DE were talking about, so its basically the same as spitting in the wind.
I’ve gotten the “foghorn” a few times now. I think it’s when something interrupts the transformation back to normal form. In this case, Broz was using an ability and interrupted it, most of the time my cases are getting knocked on the ground or staggered. : /
I was really hoping for the Soma prime to be a decent incarnon. Its one of my favorite weapons but its pretty un-usable late game
Also to add to your making old tilesets better conversation, it would be cool if each faction it's own version of a juggernaut. Grenieer could be a Kuva Leech Sargent, corpus Treasure's Guard or a similar enemy to Jackal and the corrupted already have Vor
The Juggernaut was meant to be the infested version of the "faction assassin", such as Zanuka (corpus) and Gustrag 3 (grineer), when it was originally introduced. Only since the infested don't really have a command structure to send 'elite forces' to hunt you down, they tweaked it so that being mean to infested shortly after a certain signal causes it to spawn. Interestingly enough, this system was then later used for the Kuva Lich system.
Found it did about the same built for crit or just flat damage. It wasn't a comparison between other incarnons but it dealt with steel path enemies and acolytes too. It was not as painful as I expected.
I am very curious as to how all the Incarnon Geneses will perform once the hotfixes start to resume
Are they going to balance them soon?
@@rangerzero1767 At least as of right now, the Soma Incarnon is the only one that potentially needs rebalancing. Once the hotfixes resume, we’ll likely see some rebalancing.
Most importantly, however, a lot of the Incarnon Geneses just don’t function like they should. Some evolution perks don’t work at all and select mods aren’t interacting for some Incarnon forms
I've gotten that crazy audio bug a bunch since Duviri came out, at least once a day
I was struggling on the railjack mission on the cold tile set and hadn't gotten or even known about warm coat until after I struggled to beat the mission without it, and I've never needed it since lol
"if armour over 450"
blue archon shard stonks?
Yeah
they have the eneviormental hazard system haveing those old mods combine with special vaults could make somethign usefull again.
@15:14 did you find out what's causing the noise? It's been happening to me for a few days when casting certain abilities e.g hyldrin's 4th, Sarin's miasma and more consistently Necro's desecrate.
I got an incarnon byg noise when I shoot all my miter incarnon ammo then extracted
You can clearly see that all the soma evolution and stats were made with fear, fear that the soma would be the new meta, so they killed it before release
it is 100% bugged, most of the evolution stats won't show up
They fr made another incarnon that deals less dmg than its primary mode
I REALLY hope it gets fixed!
You can also use a roll to cancel the reload animation to stack up the final evolution. Only need to mag-dump once, roll at the start of the reload twice, and off you go.
You can also Roll to cancel the reload & get the buff.. I read in on a comment on another video.
Helminth for incarnon modes? I'd like to put the Burston incarnon on the Soma please...
For me, even just getting the fourth incarnon thing unlocked is bugged. "kill 10 enemies in 8 seconds" - nuke a room with easily 15+ in one second, nothing happens. Instead try the gun and get to 12 enemies while counting to 8, nothing happens. They seem to have rushed the incarnon stuff without full testing to get it in for duviri, going by all the bugs with so many incarnon features so far.
Now since weapons that are mostly underwhelming which weapons could get adapters
My prisma skana incarnon is a beast i dont know what you’re on.
My opinion either the stats are bugged or hata Saya is supposed to work on its imcarnon via projectile which would explain the reduction but 🤷♂️.
I remember the first time I activated the incarnon mode in a mission. And then I was like.... oh...
Needs a bane mod, normal performs better than incarnon and weird gimmick to get buffs faster... That's an ouch, specially after seeing all the og old weapons perform sooo well
What’s the build for the Cat?
This weapon does what it should with harrow, it boggles my mind I can out damage the incarnon form with regular shots
NO CRITICAL CHANCE!
If it wasn't mentioned already hata satya works on the incarnon form when applied with saryns toxic lash
Zephyr tornados aswell it seems de didn't make tornados/toxic lash to use the incarnon stats
I'm sure when he casts his pillage the noise went off.
Does the hati-saya mod grant enough benefit to make the regular form stronger?
I don't know if it is mathematically better, but it sure felt faster to kill in normal form.
yes. i picked burston and soma, but should've picked burston and vasto, but i picked soma cause I wanted to try the soma with the incarnon evolution buffs, that apply to normal version, which means hata satya will work. And it is significantly better, like it's a good buff to the soma, but the incarnon mode sucks
15:16 everytime u use any ability at the same time reloading the incarnon it makes that sound its for every incarnon gun tho almost had a heart attack if u reload use ability and try to ress someone its gonna make that sound for the whole duration of The ress too 😂
I'm of the opinion that not every incarnon needs to break the meta, HOWEVER, incarnons should justify actually doing the content for them and some of these just don't.
I personally would have been happy if all they did was say "Soma Prime incarnon gets 8 multishot, same stats per pellet." Would have been a fantastic bullet hose weapon with these incarnon perks.
@@snakeman830 I just maintain yhe mindset of you need to get and unlock steel path and grind it to get some of these guns and there are a solid amount of good non incarnons that do that with ease. It doesn't need to outclassed glaive prime or whatever the top meta is but should be something you pick up and can recommend for the effort you need to put in to get them.
Regarding the idea of giving useless mids purpose, i fully agree revamping them would be easier than removing them and having to refund everyone.
Having areas of levels with extreme environmental hazards would make status nagation mods relevant
Soma was my favorite weapon to use thanks to Mogamu way back in 2014-2015. Still my most used weapon, and I took a 3 year hiatus from this game from 2020-23. I’m salty this guns Incarnon form is bad considering the soma is still a decent gun. Maybe they fixed it in this hotfix from a few hours ago?
Hopefully this will be addressed soon. In the meantime, have an engagement.
It would be nice if DE would put out a statement saying “”yes this is a bug and we are working on it”” or “”no, this is not a bug it is working as intended”” that way we wouldn’t need to speculate and try to guess what they are thinking.
Has this been fixed or still same?
Next warframe video I opened imma see that timer at like 1 year or something
It's so meh that there has to be an underlaying reason because releasing this in this state is so bad. I'm sure they know everyone loves the soma so it's a weird design choice.
Also that audio bug has happened to me SO MANY times that i'm used to it at this point. It's not only on the soma, it's all incarnons xD
Why wouldnt you use...
The Soma should be the primary version of the Laetun in the incarnon form. What a letdown.
DE should thank every person working for them for free. I'm not even asking for some respect as a player (not be considerate as a beta tester when they release new content), i'm not that delusional.
While the soma incarnon is very underwhelming, I've had better overall performance by running galvanized scope and primary deadhead on it than hunter's munitions.
It's kind've insane to me that we're at a point where the Soma Prime can be considered a mediocre weapon. Even moreso when we consider that the whole point of incarnon genesis was supposed to be to make underperforming guns good again and give them new life, and Soma's incarnon completely missed the mark by giving it an underwhelming incarnon form and lackluster evolutions.
I personally maintain that Soma's bullets should've had a ricochet feature similar to what Dual toxacyst got that prioritized head shots. Maybe we could've gotten a completely new and unique level 4 evolution that made status damage crit
Soma has been mediocre for years. Which just makes this failure of an Incarnon form even worse.
@@frenchfriedbagel7035 Yeah honestly I'd have rathered that they overtuned the shit out of it and just had to pull back over time than to drop something so underwhelming. It just feels like it's not even really an option compared to some of the crazier and far more interesting things we've gotten.
My riven in normal mode pulls more red crits than in incarn which has me scratching my head. I agree I feel like it maybe bugged cause it does not work at all.
I don't understand why I see so many Incarnon builds without base damage mods, from what I can tell base damage stacks multiplicatively with the damage bonuses for evolutions
Primary merciless is a base damage mod, it gives so much %dmg by itself it devalues serration-like mods.
The acolyte arcanes are the base dmg and adding too much base dmg gives diminishing returns so spread your multiplers
@@noahedenborg4221 Yeah I know that, but I always thought base damage would be worth it considering that it'd still be about a 50% damage increase, but I guess not, so there isn't any specific reason people leave them out more with Incarnon weapons?
@@roadkillwaffle9847 the reason is called math
@@noahedenborg4221 well that's helpful
Me with my +130% CC 44% reload and 114% CD Soma Riven
Enh it'll be fine
I was hoping that with a +189 CC/+126 MS riven I could power through as well... Didn't quite work out that way.
I can just imagine if this thing became meta, at the start of every match you'll just hear 3 other soma's mag dumping into a wall.. Seriously who at DE thought this was a good idea?
Sad news about the Soma.
so you're using bane of grineer and testing on corrupted heavy gunner, does that actually work or is that a mistake on your part
It's a mistake. Corrupted enemies are only affected by corrupted bane.
Recently tried to correct another RUclipsr saying SP Circuit didn't allow for faction mods so slotting them was useless, to which I highlighted that most of the enemies were corrupted. In response I got "No, they're a mix of corrupted grineer and Corpus" and that comment got a load of likes from that guy's followers and I just didn't watch another video by that guy again.
@@Joe90h KEKW
@@Joe90h I...okay. What? I know a lot of people don't like the Bane mods because they're a certain level of nuance that not everyone wants to bother with. But there's people out there who don't know "The Corrupted" are a totally separate faction? It doesn't matter if the base is a Corpus or Grinder or Infested; if that thing is bolted onto its face, whatever it was before is shed off and they all become "The Corrupted". I'm a big dumb dumb and even I figured that out. 😊
I will keep my riven it's sooo perfect for the soma incarnon form
I hope they actually rework it's incarnon form or buff the hell out of it because right now the incarnon form is like "press middle mouse to nerf the weapon" like fucking hell this ain't right at all it's sooooo weak it's not as the rest of the other incarnon weapons
This has to be a bug. My Soma is waaay better in normal form than in the incarnon form.
It could potentially not be bugged bc your magazine refills once you switch to incarnon
Makes sense
Still it should be able to stack from incarnon bullets
God i hope they fix it
WHERE BURSTON?!
Real disappointing, I had dusted my soma prime off in anticipation and everything.
Would love it if they fixed the crit.. and I dunno, make it full auto, infinite punch-through catchmoon (in its secondary form) for the incarnon. That would be interesting.
I’m convinced DE just really hates Soma. Why else would they not just make it good.
engagement
i think add crit and give it soma fire rate it looks kinda slow and boring it is single target give it some oompf
just change oo right First evry video
They literally made every other weapon better than soma smh I was waiting for a monster to be let out i really don’t get why DE did this we have so much overpowered weapons so why mess with the Soma just why
New update is buged like always.
Am i the only one who feels like the Incarnon form performs just as well as (if not slightly better) than the normal form? I definitely feel like the kill speed is very similar, probably even leaning towards Incarnon being slightly stronger. Plus using Incarnon makes the thing ridiculously ammo efficient, just hold left click all mission and never worry about running out of bullets
Nah, incarnon form "technically" has better dmg, but considering its usability, lack of scalable crit, headshot requirments, and the fact it's still a worse kuva kohm...Well,
I'm pretty sure the whole point of incarnon form is that it's supposed to be just flat out better, not just arguably better or just as good as the normal form.
They both preform about the same
They made the Incarnon a sidegrade to Soma instead of an upgrade. Completely missing the point of Incarnon modes.
I sure hope its a bug, its trash right now.
Obligatory Soma deez nuts joke.
All I know is that I didn't expect it be like this and that the MIGHTY SEER is better
How the hell do you unlock the final incarnon form? Nothing I do counts as kills! Normal soma kills don't count, incarnon form kills don't count and warframe kills don't count! Idk wtf I'm doing wrong.
Don't mod for status at all. Primed Cryo and Infected Clip for me and it works pretty well.
468 kills and an Angst in 5 minutes.
I used a Rhino I don't really play and has no forma.
And apparently, I know finally have the Kuva Fortress done in Steel Path lol
Also nope, no shred for me :D
The reason I used Rhino was, I had a slot to fiddle with.
Well actually for this low base status chance you want 1 or 2 60 60 mods
Pretty mid for a shotgun in 2015
DE always messes stuff like this up, why is the soma such trash compared to most of the other incarnon
First🎉
Disappointment genesis.
cxheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers!!!! buuuuuuut hahaha no suprise! too bad soma prime didnt get the love i wish it did hahaha buuuuuuuuut I WAS A BOLTOR BABY QWITH RHINO PRIME ACCES ON RELEASE AND I CANT WAIT TO INCARNO MY PRECIOUS AND RELIVE THE FULL CIRCLE LIFE 10 YEARS WORTH CHEEEEEEEEEERS
Another evidence that DE has abandoned warframe.
Its not that the soma is disapointing , its that your build is garbage.
What build would you use?
