Fantastic work, I think I've only seen this layout once at exhibition, would love to see it again! Can anyone who's worked on the layout or in the know tell me what you've used on the Ex Great Eastern 50ft stock for the corridor connectors please? I know the D&S kit does come with some but I am keen to get some flexible or equivalent which look like the brass equivalent? Thanks Tom
This is so like the Fairlop Loop before LT got hold of it. The staion is just like Newbury Park. Everything: buildings, bridges and all are just right.
Roderic Thank you. The station is based on Chigwell as it was before the LT alterations. Chigwell was one of three stations built to this design. Grange Park was damaged by WW2 bombing and demolished and Newbury was, I believe , demolished to make way for the widening of the A12. LU kindly gave us permission to measure in some detail, and the station manager on the day could not have been more helpful. The layout is currently undergoing a revamp to make it double track all the way round and has been lengthened to extend the goods yard and give more shunting possibilities, and hopefully, more entertainment when it is again exhibited. If you only subscribed very recently, it may be that I haven't added anything since you subscribed originally. Send me another message, if you fail to receive anything; I'm about to load a new video (07/12/20).
Lovely modelling wish I had the skill and space for O gauge. Why so many close ups in the video? I would like to see some views of the whole thing including behind scenes how it’s technically put together how it’s controlled etc. Why does everyone have to have the terribly boring and repetitive copyright free music especially as you have sfx?
Brian, I'm just the curator really. The video was created by the Love Lane people for the Virtual Show at the end of October, and it features in the February Railway Modeller.
Hi Brian. This is the first video which the Love Lane team have made and produced, so the chaps involved were on a steep learning curve. I'm sure they thought what they have made would be ok, and no doubt they have learned some lessons to take forward if they make another video. Ian
@@ianallen2490 Thanks for the reply’s much appreciated I’m a retired GE driver. I did buy a couple of O gauge locos and coaches which are now confined to display cases as no room for a layout. Trying OO but nowhere near as happy with the small size. Like the shunting sequence reminds me of my early days at Kings Cross and working loose coupled freight. Also like the working signals something a lot of modellers seem to neglect.
Buckhurst Hill resident for many years. This sets the scene perfectly. A great layout.
Thank you Mike. The Love Lane team have built a lovely layout, and I know that there are plans afoot to make something new.
Beautiful layout
That smoke generator in that 8F is the best I’ve ever seen, and as for the safety valve, wow 👍🏻
Think the station is so true to life and the house is perfect....amazing work
HI David. The Love Lane team are blessed with excellent modellers who have produced something very prototypical and evocative of that era.
Beautiful model
What a grand Layout, Thank you.
Just perfect...
This so much feels like the old GE around London. Superb and accurate.
Hi great layout, the smoke effect on the 8F was really effective
The 8F was built by the late Steve Baldock, who designed his own system for steam effects.
fantastic layout
Many thanks!
Superb of course ! Regards to David Rayner!

5 coach trains in 7mm. I am jealous!
Excellent but what I find strange is that this has nearly 10000 views but relatively few “likes”. Odd.

I am having a problem in that although I have subscribed to the channel, I am not receiving the videos. Any idea why? Thanks Mel
