Love the beatiful roses and the music and Billy is so excited to start he working. Yanis there always helping and Billy's dad doing the wonderful brick work. Till next time, enjoy your weekend.
You so need to go watch "Escape to Rural France"! He figured out a way to cut joists to fit structural steel very quickly and efficiently. He straps a bunch of joists together, then runs over the ends with a dado. He can cut a whole raft of joists in the time it takes to cut one with a jigsaw. It's so efficient he just got done with all of them for his house. You ought to do some videos together!
Having watched a few months of watching an entire chateau's floors being installed and awash with noggins, which they have just completed, here we go again with the Petherick floors!! Should be fun!!
Curious to see if their speed will also improve so drastically over time. Especially the shaping of where the wood needs to fit into the steel beams.... Nice work Yannis!
Ha! I was just thinking the same thing. I thought noggins were gone from my life (except if any puppies are named Noggin). And now, here we go with noggins again.
All your work shows ,as my late husband always said , that planning and having the right tools and equipment for a job makes all the difference, and having great workers too ! 😊
The steel beams DO look like new! Even the floor joists look great. Your vision & drive & ability to make it true are so impressive, Billy! Yanis, you are doing EVERYTHING! These videos CAN be in your resumé! Especially with the finished projects to show. Great work!
I know some think it is all over engineered but I don’t. You already had the steel beams for reuse and it is important to tie the building together. I don’t like creaky and wobbly floors either. I think it is all brilliantly well played. I have nerded out on the quality of work you all do. And those doors that Paddy has done. Masterpieces. So exciting this project is.
before you go any further I think watching Escape to Rural France guy redoing a chateau do his floors and noggins would save you a tremendous amount of time. He has it down to a science and you are doing it exactly how he was doing it on his first floor. He has now put in like 10 and is on the last one.
Happy midsummer from Sweden! We were blown away when the supertalented Yanis played the swedish summer hymn/psalm (en vänlig grönskas rika dräkt) on the organ! Please Yanis play it again ❤
Daniel from "Escape to Rural France" has great videos on how to install the joists and noggins to I Beams. His current video shows how he does it and it's quick !
You might consider "sleeve bolts" to attach the ledger board to the stone wall. I'm sure they have something like that in France. After you drill the hole, insert the sleeve bolt and as you tighten the bolt, the sleeves expand and pull the board tight to the wall. There is no need for any filler, silicone, or concrete. It will never come away or come loose.
You can just notat Home Depot. We have a local company called Hyde Park Lumber that used to provide that type but because of demand are now more into specialty and cabinet lumber
Billy, did you even envision owning a chateau & convent with Gwendolyn & two sons when you met her? You all are amazing. Great team. Yanis is incredible, learning new skills like a boss. Dad Pethrick is phenomenal. I am certain he is impressed & very proud of his wife & children. Applause to y'all
This is my TV time! I do appreciate the hard work you and family and friends put into the videos , I just love watching ,I talk about you like we were friends too. Keep up with the work it makes me happy lol sounds silly but I enjoy every minute!
I want to say that this is going so quickly, but I am wrong. Maybe it is just entertaining. Billy, never think that we do not enjoy your videos and such hard work. Your dedication is wonderful - you are a very smart guy!
You’re looking handsome Billy . The floor will be done so quickly once Alex is here. Hope you manage to relax and enjoy your weekend . Yannis and Mick are hard workers xxx💕💕💕
In Stephanie's last video, her & Philip travel to Snackers Antiques & I noticed a large statue in their front window that might fit in your chapel on the right or left side of the organ. It looks very similar to the statue you have already.
After watching floors and noggins being installed at Dan's Chateau, now we get to watch floors and noggins being installed at the Convent, never gets tiring to watch!!!!
Billy, I can see that the library is going to be something really special. I love your vision. You are going to make this convent into a place of wonder for you, your family, and to community. CRACK ON!!
How will you install the big raw plugs for the wall plate coach bolts with it already in place Billy? This is an interesting project to watch and glad you switched back from the Chateau bedrooms to the old convent....
Billy - you are everywhere , doing everything - all the time ! Today was a great step forward; and having Yiannis helping, sped up the process 👍. Your Dad did a fantastic job with the brick work ! Mick is a real treasure ❤. Enjoy your weekend !!
With a library cabinets and books are incredibly heavy ,loading of tonnes per meter so strong floor essential, planning saves cutting and leaves little waste in expensive joist wood lengths.your working as a team again with Yannis and your amazing Dad.
Nice job Billy like a bit of noggins. Yanis is getting really Professional now in what ever you tell him to do he does it with confidence,. So well done Yanis and of course you Billy, Nice bit of brick work by your Dad Billy nice and neat and tidy🥰
The craftsman who built that place are looking down on you with twinkling eyes saying yes it will go on for a hundred more years for sure and longer. Treasures of their blessings onto you and your fellow workers.
If somewhere in this amazing space, you would consider leaving a small section of the beautiful old rock work exposed, that would add such a nice element to the design.
Noggins! Love that your dad wanted to show off his brickwork. So sweet he is!
Fantastic floor job! Your dad was quite proud of his stone work as he should be. Well done team!
All coming together! Mick’s stonework is lovely. Yanis is a great team member!👍🏻👍🏻❤
Love the beatiful roses and the music and Billy is so excited to start he working. Yanis there always helping and Billy's dad doing the wonderful brick work. Till next time, enjoy your weekend.
I hope your weekend is as enjoyable 😻
The painted steel next to the fresh wood is beautiful! 😊

Dans done a whole chateau, i will be finished in the next 7 days! i won’t even have time to master the method
Lol, You all know each other I think right? Great work guys!!
Yannie has come so far! So proud of him. I actually named a stray cat after him..😂😂😂
Having watched a few months of watching an entire chateau's floors being installed and awash with noggins, which they have just completed, here we go again with the Petherick floors!! Should be fun!!

I just wonder if the technique to do more than 1 all at once is the same 😂😂
I just saw Michael P checking out the last level so I’m sure they are all giving or getting tips 😊👏
It would be interesting to get Alex's raw reaction when he arrives and sees all the changes.
Quiet right Mr Petherick one should not forget the brick work.Well done you, neat strong wall it is too.Cheers to you.😀
You did go very quickly today. That lift is one of the best things you ever bought for this project. Saves tons of time.
What a true treasure you have ! Thank you for bringing us along on this journey… What a gift to this place & to its heritage 💙🙏🏻
Wow! Brick work looks fantastic 😮xx
Just think, at one time the kitchen looked just like this...and then the kitchen came to life! Amazing! Can't wait to see the finished library!
All your work shows ,as my late husband always said , that planning and having the right tools and equipment for a job makes all the difference, and having great workers too ! 😊
the library is gonna need a huge chandelier like the one in the kitchen!
The steel beams DO look like new!
Even the floor joists look great.
Your vision & drive & ability to make it true are so impressive, Billy!
Yanis, you are doing EVERYTHING!
These videos CAN be in your resumé! Especially with the finished projects to show.
Great work!
Best purchase ever…… the blue lift!
It's looking great, Billy! Can't wait for the noggins! Your dad, even at his age, is quite the craftsman!
Your dad’s brickwork is amazing! Great job on joists too!
I have my three favorite chateau channels and love them all equally, but yours has by far the best soundtracks. Your music choices are sublime.
Billy, you have the patience of an angel!
Billy you’re looking so healthy these days very trim and fit great job!
Noggins! If only there was a RUclips channel that had dedicated whole videos to them
Escape to Rural France
This place is going to be so beautiful after you guys are done with it❤

Your dad looked very happy with his remade stone wall, and so he should be. It’s a work of art 👍🏻 you are all such a great team.
Beautiful brickwork mick...😊
I so enjoy watching the progress. Not only at your Convent, but with Ryan as well. A true friend.
Happy midsummer from Sweden! We were blown away when the supertalented Yanis played the swedish summer hymn/psalm (en vänlig grönskas rika dräkt) on the organ! Please Yanis play it again ❤
Which video was this please, I must have missed one.
Maybe at the end of the assembling of the organ I think. He only played the beginning of it but it was so beautiful 🥹
Very professional, I would have no problems walking on that decking when you are done!
Daniel from "Escape to Rural France" has great videos on how to install the joists and noggins to I Beams. His current video shows how he does it and it's quick !
Billy - love the renos, but what I really want to see is you make a coffee in that amazing Dalek coffee machine! ☕
He said the other day he needs a part for it so won't be using it yet .
Monday starts on less job for you, Billy. Looking forward to Alex's artistic spin on the Convent glow-up❣️
Quick work Billy and Yanis! Mick did a great job on that stone work!
The A team did a marvellous job. The progress is amazing..
Totally surprised at how this Library is progressing! Love how you guys are so “team” minded! It makes work like a Family!❤

Oooh Noggins, music to my ears! We will be into plums soon!!!!!
Yanis is an amazing asset to your family...he works really hard.
I wonder if he lives locally.
@@heehaw8401I believe at Billy & Gwen's place.
I am just excited as you Billy , and I live far, far away.
Wishing we could get lumber like that here in the US! Great work everyone.
That's what I was thinking too.
I'm sure we could, but would have to be special ordered from a mill.
@@grannyrosie1 yes,, and sadly there are a lot less Saw Mills than there use to be.

Brick work is beautiful? Can see some stone reused from above with orange paint! Beautiful work on the walkways! Lovely episode!😊❤
I am amazed and impressed I am so ready for this transformation great job all of you
2736 views and only 720 likes...me think's something is amiss. Push that button folks, it doesn't hurt. Enjoy your weekend!
I do that first thing!
Joists and noggins - picking up now that Dan’s done with his. 😅 Well done Billy, Yanis and Mick

Great work, Billy, Janis, and Mike!! You all deserve a weekend off! Spend some fun time with Gwen and the kids, Billy! 🎉👍 Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Your dad is amazing. I hope that I’m as strong as he is when I am his age.
The vision is going to turn out beautiful!
Mick is the best, brickwork looks terrific
🇨🇦👋 Quite beautiful work! Anyone watching this, will feel comfortable walking out into this completed library!
Brick wall looks great. I bet you can't wait to walk round the balcony ❤
Great work today by all three of you. Take some time off on the weekend. Alex will have it all in hand from Monday. 🙏❤️
Oh boy, another episode of holding my breath as Billy stands on the sides of the lift 😮
Me too!😂
Somehow, just by adding the joists it makes it easier to imagine what it’s going to look like. It’s going to be amazing 👍
Wonderful music.
Wow! Billy, we're so proud of this building....and we're just watching.
I want to say that this is going so quickly, but I am wrong. Maybe it is just entertaining. Billy, never think that we do not enjoy your videos and such hard work. Your dedication is wonderful - you are a very smart guy!
Those new doors are beautiful for the convent. This is going to be truly grand when completed. Have a great day
They way your dad says, "See ya monday"😂😂😂
At least I can come here for a noggin fix now.
Sad that there was no audio of the actual construction sounds, that would’ve certainly enhanced the video.
Looking awesome ❤ everyone have a wonderful weekend
Billy, you are looking scrumptious❤.
Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice!
Watch it! He’s married!😂

The brickwork is supreme, excellent quality Mick😀.

It is really coming to life now, amazing
Really nice job, Mr Petherick.
Billy. A spiral staircase would be beautiful in one of the corners of the opening.
Except that the elevator is only feet away from the entrance to the gallery so he said he decided it would be overkill to put in the staircase.
Just love Yanis and your DAD.
I love watching this build!
It’s coming along quickly it’s going awesome
the stone work under the window looks amazing! Have a Great Weekend everyone! (if we don't see you sooner)

Great days work Billy it already gives an idea of what's it's going to be like 🎉🎉🎉
Another great vlog. Love the beginning shots and music. Your dad and Yannis are a great team 😍😘
Instead of that reciprocating saw, those beams can probably also be cut with a jigsaw with an extra long blade. Much easier and quicker.
The roses are beautiful
