As a true catholic I had to become 67 years old to ever hear this.
No priest in my neighbourhood ever preaches this.
I learned so much about our catholic faith I didn't know before thanks to priests like yourself and father Marc Göring. It's so sad that I had to turn to you tube to find holy priests like yourself.
I prayed for holy priests a time ago and I thank the Lord I found them on you tube.
We in Belgium desperately need priests like yourself who teach us the truth without being afraid to offend anybody.
It's such a clear, beautiful explanation with true concern for one's soul.
May I ask you, dear Father, to pray for holy priests in our country, who teach us the Truth about every aspect of our catholic faith.
May the Lord bless you abundantly.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
    Lovely greetings from Zutendaal (Belgium)

Are you talking about Pope Benedict XVI 's document Dominus Jesus? It was one of his most controversial writings. Pope Benedict XVI, in my opinion, is one of the most learned in the Catholic church. His books are so beautifully written and he explains God's Love and Mercy in such a beautiful way. I feel he is a hidden treasure in the Catholic church. Also, wouldn't it be proper to say a non catholic should not receive communion because they are not a baptized Catholic? What do I know, just wondering.

The rythum method is a form of birth control that is allowed. It does leave the chance of conception open as all married in union with Jesus in the Church have to do. Too many forms of birth control are accomplished after conception. That abortion and a mortal sin. If this isn't taught properly or if taught and not followed by the couple, the possibility of an abortion and mortal sin is high.

If anybody's wondering what the Catholic Church believes here is a quick answer and FYI we say it all together at every Mass
    The Nicene Creed
    I believe in one God,
    the Father almighty,
    maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
    true God from true God,
    begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
    he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
    and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
    in accordance with the Scriptures.
    He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.
    Amen.

One of the reasons I "hate" attending weddings and funerals is inevitably some non-Catholic relative goes to communion, (EVEN IF YOU TALKED TO THEM or not) and when some poor priest has the temerity to make an announcement about it, he takes it in the neck. Personally I believe that prior to each communion taking place at every mass it should be required to state a few words from St. Paul along with a brief clarification due to among other things, the generally world-class lousy catechesis, and the tepid level of conversion among the lay people, and mostly because of the rather scandalous way intermarriage has occurred and the way it is summarily approved of, I am not aware even if the local Ordinary makes any official approval about it anymore. Until we get serious nothing will change.

I've been checking out mass at a local catholic church, and I already knew that I shouldn't go up for communion, but I feel like people keep giving me dirty looks or being weird about the fact that I don't go up. It's really embarrasing and makes me feel like I shouldn't even be there, which is sad because I'm planning to start attending RCIA next month, but I don't know if I can keep going there if the parishioners are so unfriendly... : (

    • @digitalat2
      @digitalat2 6 лет назад +2

Go to RCIA! You won't regret it! Mass is not where we would socialize - it is of course where solemn worship takes place. Catholics are very friendly and loving - especially in parish activities - but we are very introspective and in prayer during mass. Actually, nobody really is watching each other - and if I don't confess a sin, I too can't go to communion and I miss out on receiving Jesus ... which motivates me to go to confession - get BACK into a state of grace, AND NOT DO IT ANYMORE!! Jesus commands us forcefully and repetitively to eat his body and drink His blood. Not an option to say he really didn't mean it! I will say prayers you persevere and follow through with RCIA. The Catholic Church is divinely instituted (Jesus is founder and intended ONLY ONE CHURCH, not many) but the reality is, from the very beginning to the present day - and from top to bottom - it can from time to time be infiltrated by weak humans - and can be variously filled with huge sinners, cowards - AND most importantly - SAINTS. We don't enter and stay in the Catholic Church for any other reason than it is the fullness of the truth of Jesus Christ. It is the Church of Christ. We follow Jesus and his saints - and church teaching (which CANNOT DECEIVE) - and we lament and must correct the sinners from the bottom to the top - who grieve the Holy Spirit and harm the Body of Christ. Yes, Jesus knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he picked Mary to be his mother as THE perfect disciple - sinless and never to be equalled in goodness by any created human then, before or since... as well as those twelve imperfect men - to lead the church - sinners, deficient, slow to understand, afraid, and even a traitor. A seeming "disaster" from the beginning with the death of Christ - but Jesus promised that the Gates of Hell would not prevail against His Church - and in 2000 years the Catholic faithful keep growing in number worldwide. Each Catholic is a member of the Apostolic family of Christ, with the mission to spread WHOLE truth of Christ's love...to all others: non-christians, on-fire and luke-warm Protestants, and to our own luke-warm or poorly-practicing Catholics (who think they have the intellect or ability to pick and choose what they want to believe AS INDIVIDUALS - apart from AUTHORITY ... they do not!!). We pray for you, and for all - to include ourselves - to FUSE with Christ...in the ONLY church he founded...

    • @kristinacatherine5121
      @kristinacatherine5121 6 лет назад

Well I'm still doing RCIA, but I'm looking at other parishes too.
Also, I'm not saying I expect mass to be social hour, but it seems weird to me that people would stare at me and awkwardly try to walk through me when there's not room in the aisle with the kneeling thing down and I'm right at the open end of a 4 person row, so it would be way easier for them to just go through the 2-person row in front of us than intentionally make a scene and walk on/through me as if I don't exist. And afterward I look over and I'm getting dirty looks from some other lady. I haven't been back since. I've still been planning on doing RCIA, and I've started trying to keep up with daily readings, but that experience just gave me the clear sign that I'm NOT WELCOME AT MASS until/unless I can go up for communion, which is really sad to me. It makes me glad that I have a different parish right by where I work where I'll go for daily mass.
I was also trying to look into parish boundaries for an excuse to go somewhere else, but I'm pretty sure this one that's closest to me is probably the one whose boundaries I'm in. Which reminds me, on a somewhat unrelated note, why is it virtually impossible to find the parish boundaries? I only even found out it's a thing because the parish by my work has a map tucked away in their website that I stumbled upon.

  • @KMF3

There is a total lack of reverence for Jesus in the Eucharist in the new Mass. If you go to a Byzantine mass or traditional Latin Mass one of the first things that you notice is the deep deep reverence for Jesus in the Eucharist.

What did the Popes and Saints have to say about ecumenism prior to Vatican II:
"Such attempts can nowise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy, since they all in different ways manifest and signify that sense which is inborn in us all, and by which we are led to God and to the obedient acknowledgment of His rule. Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but also in distorting the idea of true religion they reject it, and little by little, turn aside to naturalism and atheism, as it is called; from which it clearly follows that one who supports those who hold these theories and attempt to realize them, is altogether abandoning the divinely revealed religion."
-Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Mortalium Animos, par. 2, 6 January 1928
"I saw many pastors cherishing dangerous ideas against the Church. . . . They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights: Evangelicals, Catholics, and all denominations, a true communion of the unholy with one shepherd and one flock. There was to be a Pope, a salaried Pope, without possessions. All was made ready, many things finished; but, in place of an altar, were only abomination and desolation. Such was the new church to be, and it was for it that he had set fire to the old one; but God designed otherwise."
-from Life and Revelations of Anne Catherine Emmerich, Vol. 2, pp. 352-353

+Mona Lisa I don't mean to be like most protestants, even though I don't go by religion, because it places rules, restrictions, and regulations on how we worship and praise the one true God, and on our spirituality, I just wanted to inform my sister in Christ Jesus that the Lady of Fatima is actually a false apparition, and here's why.
-Mary, Jesus' mother was never a white woman.
-Her "Immaculate Heart" is not the only way that would lead you to God. Jesus is.
-No scapular, amulet, or sacramental, worn with faith, can save you from burning in the flames of hell, only faith justifies salvation, but remember, faith without works is dead.
-She is not sinless, for we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. She needed a Savior.
God bless, and I hope that which I spread would help lead others to the truth, for you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, seek first the Kingdom of God, and finally,

Dorian Catalon Religion is not about rules, but there are rules, because God has willed it that way from the beginning. God has laws, the Church just enforces them. Heaven (the Church Triumphant) is a hierarchy, just as the Church here on earth (the Church Militant) is.
      1. Our Lady comes to all her apparitions appearing as the ethnicity of the peoples she is visiting. In Mexico, when she came as Our Lady of Guadalupe, she looked Mexican. When she came to La Salette, she looked French. She was in her time on earth and now maintaining her body in heaven, dark skinned of a 1st century Jewish woman.
      2. Just as only through Mary, Jesus, the Christ was brought into this world, only through the Most Holy Virgin and her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, does one draw near to the Eternal Godhead - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
      3. First, I recommend reading why the Council of Trent condemned the Protestant error of Faith alone and how we are justified, because many Protestants don't actually know what the Church teaches about Justification. www.thecounciloftrent.com/ch6.htm
And regarding the Brown Scapular and Sacramentals I also think you should learn what the Church really teaches.
      4. The Virgin Mary took on humbly and with great fidelity and faith in Our Heavenly Father the will to bear the Christ in her blessed womb. She was born preserved from original sin by being Immaculately Conceived in St. Anne's womb. She also never committed sin because she followed the WHOLE law... so James 2:10 doesn't apply with Mary. On Mary being saved - Yes, she did need a saviour, and she was the mother of that Saviour. And she was the first to admit it: "My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour". She never sinned; that is true. But that is not to say that she did not need a Saviour. How could she be sinless without a Saviour? The problem that comes up here is how everyone thinks about the salvific power of God as running along our man-made timeline. It doesn't. God exists outside of time because he created the earth and time (Genesis), and thus, to say that Mary could be born without sin even before her Son, who made that very thing possible, was born is not nonsense. Jesus Christ is, after all, the "Lamb of God who was slain from the foundation of the world." And by "foundation," we mean beginning, and by "world," we mean universe. Thus, Christ, being God, sacrificed himself before the universe was ever made, because with God, there is no time. And thus, Mary can be saved by her Son's sacrifice even before she is born! Jesus is also, however, man, and thus he died on the Cross at a certain place on the earth at a certain point along our timeline.
      Sit benedicat tibi.

Jacob Snell 1-As I said before, I am not pushing my beliefs, I just want others to develop an understanding on spiritual things, and not on the flesh, the mindset, and also to draw closer to God, so that He may draw close to us. But if God is already in us, then he is already drawn closest to us, fully.
2-The Catholic Church does teach that outside of their Church, one cannot be saved. Although recently I have found out about something called "seperated brethren", so would you be able to tell me the true meaning of what this oxymoron is? I call it an oxymoron because if the RCC was supposedly the only true church, then why does it references other denominations in the quote I made, and why would true believers, followers, and worshipers in the Holy Trinity be seperated from a church that is alledged to be the only church Jesus founded?
3-Also, I want to add that the original greek, and possibly Hebrew written translations of the biblically compiled books originates to the 70-72 Jewish scholars, but later was translated by John Wigley, I think that is his name, but correct me if I'm wrong because idk if that is the actual person who translated the Bible into English, but was then persecuted by the RCC and killed. Also, the Roman Catholic Church banned the public of reading the divinely inspired library (the Bible, in laymen terms 😊).
4-There are others in the Bible who obeyed the full law, but they weren't sinless, because we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, including Mary, now I do honor her for being chossn to be the blessed mother of God incarnate, but she is not an eternal mother. She is a creation. If Mary was sinless, why wouldn't she born of a Virgin. The Immaculate Conception, when you would look deeper into it, sounds like Mary is the daughter of God born of two parents, unlike the truth of the incarnation, which states that Jesus was born of one physical parent. Jesus did not have to be born by two sinless people to be both God and man, in fact, to be God and man, Jesus had to endure death, and that in itself proves that the wages of sin is Death, and the curse of Adam is death as well. In actuallity again, Jesus was both human nature and supernatural nature. Since he was human nature, he had to endure hunger, temptations, death (for his chosen ones), and also grieving the lost of loved ones. So this all points back to Mary, because if Mary wad also a holy, pure, virgin creature, then why would the consequences of Adam fall onto Jesus. Factual biblical knowledge and understanding proves that Mary had sin. She had to receive the Holy Spirit and be born again in the upper room, with the apostles.
4-I just received something from reading the Bible. Jesus is our Sabbath rest, we are each individually a church, a temple, since God lives in us. Church is not just a physical place, we cannot conjure the Holy Spirit, we can although release the Holy Spirit into the atmosphere when we gather as a congregation united in Jesus' name. Jesus said that whenever two or more are gathered in His name, He is in their midst. We as born again believers, followers, and worshippers of Christ Jesus have to certainly be assured that we all together are in communion with God, known as the communion of the saints. God is not a part time God, he is a full time Divine Trinitarian being, which means that we must be full time worshipers and praise Him full time, everyday 24/7. Our purpose here on Earth is to lead, guide, and aid to the evangelization of non-believers, as well as to be set on the one, true, holy, and only foundation, which is Jesus Christ.
Thank you again for the feedback, I understood it and I appreciate the answers everyone has given me on RUclips. God bless you all, peace. 😇📖⛪

We all need clarity in regards to rules and regulations! You can't be a member of the Catholic Church unless a person agree to all what the Church teaches, then if a person wants to join or become a member of the Catholic church then he or she has to go through the same process as going to TAFE or University, learn what the church teaches and represents, have baptism, holy communion and then confirmation !

      @luisaymerich9675 4 года назад

In the second part of the teaching the priest cites Paul's teaching about discerning the body of the Lord or bring judgement upon oneself.
Discerning the body is not just recognizing the Lord in the consecrated bread and wine.
When we receive the Eucharist, the Lord Jesus physically becomes a part of us and we are physically united to him. We are also united to each other. The body of the Lord is the Church.
We cannot receive the Eucharist if there is an impediment. Sin is one such impediment because sin separates me from God. I a Catholic, cannot receive communion if I have sinned and have not gone to confession and received absolution.
Another impediment is division between the churches. While we may believe much of the same things there is a serious rift that separates Catholics and Protestants. Until that rift is healed there is no real unity and we cannot share communion.
Not only is a Protestant required to abstain from receiving communion in a Catholic Mass. As a Catholic, I am not allowed to receive communion in a Protestant church.
Only when we achieve a true reconciliation can we become one church and then we can share a real communion.
We must strive to make that happen.

Three years have passed and we now know that there are a group of heretical German bishops who are actively working to change Church doctrine to give the Eucharist both to Protestants married to Catholics and to the divorced remarried Catholics without annulments.

Shouldn't be, but many Catholics don't believe, others want to be politically correct instead of evangelizing and teaching those of other faiths what we do believe. Pray for the parishioners who complain.

I don't understand the thinking of those who think that the Catholic Church has some "duty" to engage in ecumenicalism.

Say you invite someone who is non Catholic, is it possible for them to receive a blessing? Say, as in someone who has not gotten their confirmation yet? Something I wish my neighbor had done when introducing me to the Catholic Church.

Can you still take it if you're going through a huge faith crisis but you really really want to believe?
