Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.

this nerfed him, apparently the reason why they did that is that tabi had a high(i think guaranteed) chance of beating the player after the initial volly of notes, at least if I'm remembering right anyway

I’m guess what would have happened with the chose you destiny was if you played as BF he would have won Genocide, and his fight with Tabi would have likely escalated to the point where Tabi’s true form would have materialized and he would be out of control, if you picked Tabi he would have won and killed BF, then he would see GF actually mourning his death, and have a self reflection moment, and realized she did genuinely care about him, but Daddy Dearest was probably the one that caused the rift between them, then in present time something probably would have happened I don’t know what based on context clue, but I guess that can be left up to everyone’s interpretation.
Maybe there would be a tabi vs gf song?

The reason why boyfriend in the genocide song doesn’t look very different is because in another person‘s video, the boyfriend sprites had a red outline that is because those sprites are placeholders. The real ones are still in development.

En este video no lo cuenta pero la historia es más o menos la misma pero con cosas nuevas:
Al parecer la relación entre Tabi y Girlfriend empezó a deteriorar debido a que Tabi estaba tan centrado en su música que empezó a ignorar a Girlfriend, motivo por el que ella quiso finalizar la relación. Sin embargo, debido a que DD (Daddy Dearest) y MM (Mommy Mearest) solo les importa el dinero, no aprobaron la ruptura y usaron autoridad e intimidación para que Girlfriend cumpla con esto.
Girlfriend al inicio se mostró obediente, pero no lo aguantó más y acabó rompiendo con Tabi (después de Final Memories). Al ver que acabó fallando, DD envió a unos diablillos (los tipos con gafas de sol que bailan en la limusina de MM) a donde vive Tabi. Los diablillos tenían ordenes de asaltar la vivienda de Tabi y ''borrarle del mapa'' (destruir todo lo que tenga que ver con su carrera: aparatos, canciones sin acabar, etc.), se trajeron una grabadora para engañarle (la Girlfriend y el DD que aparecen en Freaking Out Alone son en realidad los diablillos usando las grabadoras) y el cráneo de dingo con cuernos que llevaría desde entonces. Los diablillos atacaron lo suficientemente rápido como para noquearlo sin siquiera saber que fueron ellos.
Tras esto Tabi quedó como lo conocemos y debido a la grabadora que usaron los diablillos el piensa que el responsable es Girlfriend, quien de hecho se sintió horrorizada al enterarse de lo de los diablillos con la grabadora.

No, but it originally allowed for a new ending in which Boyfriend and Girlfriend would die and Tabi would sing against Daddy Dearest.
The idea was abandoned due to Homskiy's limitations. For the same reason, there is no story in the mod.

Am I the only one who despises the new cuts of the original songs? It feels like they just dumped in a ton of extra unnecessary notes just to make it come off as more difficult when you can just practically button mash your way through it now. And with the different BF sounds they used the whole feel of the songs are different now. I love that they're expanding on this mod but what happened?
