Growths are like a roll, you can get a boost in a certain stat or you don't, that's why people usually have varying experiences with units, stuff like class growths may effect this eg: my ashe had one of the best offensive stst spreads in my maddening run and easily was my second best unit behing Dimitri, even though many say he's a bad unit who falls of very quickly. Everyone has different experiences due to rng
Wild Tea Sipper pretty much kinda leaves a Lil salt when you need that one little stat to survive but don't get it cause the RNG screw you over (when I played blazing sword twice I had different Lyn outcome was became good cause she got enough str to be better overall then there's the screw you stats I will live by evading but don't expect me to kill unless its either a crit or they are low on HP lol (basically a low str stats lyn)
unlucky i guees while felix is probably the best student unit after the lords and maybe dedue growths can always fuck you over i had multiple rng screwed dimitris. He only gainend 1 strength and 2 speed over 10 levels even thougj he has the best strentgh growth in the game and a solid speed growth aswell
played maddening, opposing units are fast as f*ck. felix is one of the rare units that can double. arguments about growth vs base stats aren't viable in a game that gives you every unit at lv1. also wyvern lord dimitri and byleth op
lmao, his Felix got rng-screwed on two playthroughs. xD Felix is legit one of the best units in the game, his major crest of fraldarius is OP and so is the Aegis Shield tbh.
How do you mess up Felix? Even my first Felix who had terrible defense and res worked really well as an assassin and his shield came in a pinch with the Aegis effect. (Note that my first playthrough I sucked and lots of my units were screwed in at least one stat, even Dimitri, who had terrible res)
21:43 funnily enough the english translation is the only one where Byleth and Edelgards marriage isn't explicitly mentioned in their ending. At least i know it is mentioned in Japanese, German and Spanish.
One thing about the Silver Snow route that is interesting music-wise. Unlike all the other versions of the attack vs. map themes, which feature, as you describe in the video, someone banging on pots and pans, A Funeral for Flowers, for it’s zoomed in battle version uses . . . a piano solo. Which is super amazing and effective, I wish they had done more of that. Like, that chapter has had you come back to the monastery in triumph, only to have a tragic twist happen for the final battle. Playing a sad piano version of this sad sounding theme is just really really good and works super well.
Hold up, Felix is easily an S tier unit. The man is so good, he's one of the only units that can use mortal savant, one of the worst classes in the entire game.
I think blue lions is the "intended" first playthrough. I feel like Golden deer goes more into depth on topics introduced in the other playthroughs so it feels like it's meant to be the last, especially since Blue Lions has more cutscenes for the reveals.
@@nickelakon5369 unless you count him calling her "El" in CF as a reminder (for it is the fact that she regrets his death afterwards and even becomes sentimental, against - the fact that you can get the Dedue scene instead and still see her regretting)
That was my order of playthroughs and BL feels like it was meant to be the 1st, I'm glad it was mine. Azure Moon cutscenes and reveal was epic and is still my favorite. Crimson Flower was fun and then the Verdant wind gave me the answers. The best part about Sillver Snow was Seteth's reaction to transformed Rhea.
I've only heard of Fire Emblem from Smash tbh. And after seeing some gameplay and your review I might pick up 3 Houses (also haven't been doing great in Splatoon so I need other games to fill the void)
Oh man, I stan Felix. See, he’s basically decided that pushing people away will make it so that he doesn’t have to keep losing them. And when he warms up to you, he’s the kind of friend who will tell you straight up “no, stop doing that. It’s bad.” He was the only character who didn’t just mourn Dimitri when he was discovered to be dead, but wondered if there was anything he could have done to have stopped his death from happening. And in my playthroughs, he’s always been one of my best units - mobile and quick, usually able to one shot anything AND not get hit by attacks either. I personally like Azure Moon as the first route (Which is what I did not knowing, it’s my first Fire Emblem game), because the big Holy Tomb reveal comes with a GREAT cinematic, probably the best version of that reveal. Also, both Dimitri and Edelgard are VERY intense lords for different reasons, so the still serious but more breezy Claude I feel makes a good break between Azure Moon and Crimson Flower. And yeah, while I wish Crimson Flower were longer, it definitely works best as not your first route. I feel like the game wants you to discover it, since it is Edelgard, and the other route is like “well, we don’t HAVE a lord for you now”, but it’s still the odder route.
they probably don't make more characters join you after the time skip because its a story meant to be lived with your students, which is why no map lets you deploy more than 12 units which is considerably less than in previous games
if to only mtint to be with stundts then way can reocnt othe 2 prosfers and aluis and way do you gilabt on your taem in bleu lines he no sutndt so again thay kind debank you right there
Of course. Felix always was one of my best units. As a Wyvern Lord, As a Mortal Savant, as a Assassin, Sword Master and now as War Master. He always kicks ass. But well... he also can get RNG screwed. No unit is safe
@@elgatto3133 Felix is good in nearly every class, it seems. My Felix is just broken right now. He uses Gauntlets, everything he attacks is a quadruple hit and even with just Training Gauntlets he has a Crit Chance of 41% on the average enemy. It's just insane. This game is too easy, i tell you. It's too easy to get op units. My Lysithea aswell, she is a walking nuke and Annette is becoming a monster aswell... even my Ashe as a Bow Knight... there is nothing he can't hit right now. His Accuracy is through the roof thanks to Mariannes personal Battalion which grants 40! Hit if maxed out.

I've never played a Fire Emblem game in my life, and I'm considering making this one my first. Would this be a good starting point, or should I go for Awakening or Fates? EDIT: Never mind he answered this at the end of the video........
Also I'd recommend not listening to his route recommendation. Instead, watch Lucky Crits video about "Which house to choose in Fire Emblem Three Houses" so you can decide for your own.
As your first FE, i would recommend Awakening and Three Houses. Both are great games to start with. But if you want to catch up with the hype. Three Houses is for you
I really like the way you went about making and presenting your thoughts in this video. It was really cohesive and as someone who's played almost every route (I'm a little less than halfway through deer because procrastination) I agree with almost everything you said. I definitely think that azure moon was the first to be made and designed though. Just look at how many extra cgs and cutscenes that route has compared to the others. Dimitri's character arc feels so well done and fleshed out especially with having Felix, Ingrid, and Sylvain around. Not to mention every unit except Ashe and Dedue have crests and get relics in that route. I would be shocked if azure moon wasn't the first route made. Also Felix is really cool and while he's really standoffish almost all the time I really like how he was handled and he's not just another edgelord mcedgington imo. His support with Seteth is really good for helping to show his motivations and feelings.
IDK man I played Golden Deer first going in completely blind on the game and not knowing much about anything it kinda feels like now we're fighting Edelgard, makes sense then we're suddenly already fully focused on TWSITD and there would have also been a fine point to end it, but then we also kinda just fight The old guy had someone not literally mentioned in a cutscene that this is the final battle I wouldn't have known. I made the regrettable mistake of playing Silver Snow right after not knowing it was essentially Verdant Wind without Claude
Great video man, keep up the good work! On a side note, I definitely recommend trying out FE4 again. I just beat it a few weeks ago, and it is easily top 3 for me. Story is engaging and epic in scale, and a lot of the gameplay mechanics (major/minor holy blood, holy weapons, etc.) seem to have directly inspired elements seen in Three Houses.
Honestly i feel the best route order is blue lions first, for the emotional impact which i feel is most suitable for a first playthrough and better connection to the story events in part 1. Then golden deer to get the answers you are left wanting after blue lions. Then crimson flower because it is unpolished in both story and presentation, and is best played with all the knowledge from the other routes.
My first playthrough was in the Red Eagles route, but I cut that short once I saw the post time skip Dimitri. Restarted, jumped into the Blue Lions route without a second thought. I abandoned a route because of a war torn Dimitri, and I’ll do the same if something like that happens again in other FE games.
Smash fans need to discover that other games are actually good. Three houses is the best fire emblem game and one of the best switch games. Also you don’t know how good it feels for someone to say exactly the things I’m thinking and put it into a very well made video. Right when I was thinking something in my head like “the voice acting is some of the best in any video game ever” you just said it and things like that kept happening throughout the video.
@@kayden2119 just play them and you'll see why so many people think they're the best FE games ever the amount of quality, care and details put in those games is almost tangible
@@kayden2119 no it doesn't 3H has a lot more content, that's true, but a lot of it is there just because there's a huge lot of lore, but most of it is never explained nor mentioned at all for example, if the dlc was about the nabateans (an aspect that would've needed much more depth), it would've been amazing, but it isn't, and it's a big wasted potential also yes, the writing is good, but the storytelling is kinda bad not kingdom hearts level, but not good either

Super late comment, but thanks to you, I took the plunge and got this game. I've never played a FE game before, but I'm loving it so far! Golden Deer House!
Felix's shield hero's relic is great. Give it to a protection stacking Lance Dedue and it not only helps him reach the point where he's immune to physical attacks thanks to its 6 protection, but it reduces his HP after combat, thus giving a safe way to boost his Vengeance damage to ridiculous levels after baiting a few attacks.
In all fairness to Felix, he’s nutty good as a brawler considering his crest, proficiency, strength and speed. His shield also tacks some free extra survivability on top of his avoid and servicable defense
TBH girls still can punch (and I don't mean Byleth's Exalted One) - sure, no give bonus weapon experience to fists, but let me tell you, fists on armored knights are super strong.
Well grondor field makes Sense because it is a war and Dimmitri ans Claude can't just run to each other and Talk mid battle. Edelgard also says she makes the battle so chaotic that the people don't know who they can trust or not. Die example if Anette sees Leonie Midbattle with all their armies the soldiers arround her don't know Leonie and Anette don't knows if Leonie might shot her it's just logical to assume that they attack each other without a real reasons. The reason is they are on the Battlefield and not fighting for the same lord
So the recruiting characters bit is actually kinda interesting to me. When I played through the game for the first time I did not recruit anyone but the other professors and Alois this was in BE. I had to use every unit I received even if they were bad **COUGH COUGH CASPAR** anyways when I had to take over the capital and had to kill some of the students I got like super sad but when Lysithea actually joined me she became my favorite character. I had a fantastic mage that one shot every unit and had really good supports even tho I only used her in timeskip. If I recruited her in pre time skip I really do not think I would have experienced that moment where I was so happy that a student decided to join me. When playing through other paths I actually recruited all the students but I kinda regret that now since each chapter doesnt have as much life to it if those students were on the enemies side. Once I replay the game I think I will only recruit like Lysithea and I guess the Ashen Wolves since I cant kill my favorite character and the Ashen Wolves seem to not be in the story if you dont get them.
Only here for LTspaceman and his videos...why? Doesn't matter what content it is I will still watching cause its funny and entertaining. I originally found this chanel for the squid game but now I like it as something more.
You know you’re a fire emblem fan when one of the best characters in the game gets screwed over almost every run. I still have flash backs to my Sigurd that never grew speed in 25 levels.
I have heard that Silver Snow was apparently the original route, and then they realized they should have a diverging plot. Which is probably why Golden Deer is basically the same with a slightly different dialogue path and different end boss. Which is probably why it feels the most complete. I played Silver Snow first, and had a good time.
On the tragedy thing: they mostly do well, but probably could have accounted for a few more variables. Like… what if you don’t recruit Dorothea; who then of the Eagles will mourn Ferdinand if you did get them? They do a lot with the battle dialogues, but the Monastery convos could have had more stuff; everyone should always have something to say about a former Housemate that died. And I do mean *everyone* and accept no substitutes… A lot of this game’s ambition feels like it needed more time to cook; they committed to making this come after Fates and SOV, but with its scale a more standard but well-made game should have been the bridge between them… Which BTW, is *exactly* what they did when “Sacred Stones” was moved to release before the Tellius duology; POR was intended as FE8 and SS was FE9, as far as working titles, but they were being worked on at the same time.
This is my first fire emblem game and I loved it. Still have crimson flower and silver snow routes to do. But it’s great. I agree that I am a little mad that there’s no post game stuff
I couldn't finish this one because I couldn't stomach killing the students. I learned later that it's possible to recruit them so I might go back and play it.
Gronder field part 2 was a mess and you cant convince me otherwise. The whole idea the first time around was that you could possibly sit back and let the other two armies wack on each other, making it easier for your army to win. This time one army literally just sits back and does nothing while the other charges you like you are the scum of the earth. I would also like to point out that Dimitri in verdant wind says rather clearly he is just there to kill Ederguard and anyone that gets in his way (and then charges you anyways), and Claude in Azure moon says to hold back and see what happens (and then charges you anyways). The Claude one pissed me off the most just because he is supposed to be a tactical genius and the only reason he is there is because you asked for his aid against Ederguard and put your butts on the line to draw troops off his border. Then he has the fking gall to ask for help after that fiasco. Should have had the option to leave him to rot, especially because he just fucks off after saving his sorry hide.
Sorry, I forgot to add the one army sitting back actually has a trap set in the middle of the battlefield, but only activates it if your units enter the middle, not the other army. It is like they wanted to make this level harder this time around while forgetting that one of these armies is legit the big bad, and the other is 50% of the time only there because you called for them to aid you against said big bad. The one time I could actually see this battle occurring like this is if you had this fight in Crimson flower, a route that actually doesn't go to gronder field.
On the one hand, I want the artistic integrity of the game to stay intact by not having a perfect route. On the other hand, playing the game on maddening+ or something to get a pacifist route would make me really happy and I think cringey hope is also art.
@@MicksUp Yes it is. The gameplay is great, the map design is overall pretty good, the difficulty is challenging in Hard and provides a REAL challenge on Lunatic, the characters are average (some really good but brought down by the shitty ones). This easily compensate for a story that just collapses into itself with every new line of dialogue.
@@zant41 i mean ok but when i pay 45$ for a game i expect every part of it to be worth that money i don't want a 45€ game with ok-ish gameplay that makes up for a garbage story your logic clearly has some flaws, but hey, if you like to spend money for half-decent games, more powet to you
@@MicksUp I mean that's your opinion, but the gameplay certainly isn't "ok-ish". There is a lot of great things about Conquest which are able to make it a good game despite of a lacking story.
I know this is many years late, but as someone who has over 600 hours in this game, I’d like to give my thoughts on the route order and how it should played. The order for a new player should be as follows: Azure Moon Verdant Wind Crimson Flower Silver Snow Azure Moon has the biggest immediate impact between both story and characters, and is the best starting point to get you interested in the game. Verdant Wind is primarily focused on lore and worldbuilding, answering questions posed in AM. If you play VW first, you’ll likely end up getting fed a lot of information that won’t make sense till you play the other routes and find out why that lore is significant to the current story. Crimson Flower is basically the other side of Azure Moon. The reason it should come third is because while it’s great, it’s very clearly rushed, so it’s easier to enjoy it once you have context from the other two main routes to fill in the blanks. Silver Snow should be last, and that’s mainly because it’s a retread of VW, but without Claude to help tie threads together. It’s the weakest of the routes, the Black Eagle students are noticeably out of place, and Seteth the weakest route lord. There’s nothing to gain from SS that you don’t get from the other routes, aside from some more context at the very end as to why Seteth and Flayn can’t assume dragon form, and you get to S support Rhea. If it’s the first or second route you play, you’ll end up incredibly bored and probably ditch the game before you finish the route, so it should be played after the other three, and should only be played if you specifically want to learn a bit more about Rhea, Seteth, and Flayn in particular.
i'd say it's "ok", not terrible but not amazing either if you play 3H on a superficial level, chances are it'll become one of your favorite games ever, but just as you start scratching that surface, you'll be able to see how many flaws lie beneath surely a huge step up from Fates, but honestly getting worse than that was an almost impossible task
Lumping Ferdinand in with Sylvain and Lorenz..... how dare you......... Ferdinand was never a creep to women. How dare you CF was my first route too, and yeah, I wish I'd played other routes first,,, It was very jarring, and a LOT of things brought up in the first half are either never mentioned again, period, or are vaguely mentioned and THEN never brought up again. It really did feel like tons of exposition was just..... Missing I love the Black Eagles kids dearly (except Caspar), though, and in terms of ideology/goals, I feel like there's a lot of non-BE characters that make perfect sense joining your group in CF, like Sylvain and Lysithea). Honestly, those two Not joining Edelgard is gonna be super weird in my GD and BL playthroughs,, I'm starting my GD run rn and am looking forward to having Answers and better story progression lol
Black Eagle paths feel like after thoughts. Especially since Golden Deer overlaps so much with the Silver snow path, and Crimson Flower just feels unfinished. If you ask me they should have dropped Silver Snow, then put the Emasculate One fight as the final fight in that path. Then you take the Shambala and Nemesis fights into Crimson Flower. Edelgards main motivation in White Clouds is that she wants to punish those who tortured her and her family. And yet, we don't get to do that? It wasn't the Church who did it, they are a secondary objective really. It all really feels like they ran out of budget... but Edelgard is one of the three houses leaders, she shouldn't be an afterthought or villain in all paths... (Also the only female leader, so I assume a lot of people will "stumble into it." Only reason I didn't stumble into it was because I spoiled myself when I realized I could end up losing Flayn who I had made my dancer... so I chose a gameplay meachanic over my path)

Ah, FEH.
The game that no one would play if we couldn't collect JPEGs of our favorite characters...
And see and use antagonists in a different way.
Bruh whatdu even mean? Felix is so good. Dragon Claws. Hits 4 times. Like a million% crit chance.
lmao, his Felix got rng-screwed on two playthroughs. xD
Felix is legit one of the best units in the game, his major crest of fraldarius is OP and so is the Aegis Shield tbh.
Felix defeated Edelgard in two turns BY HIMSELF
Yea Felix low key busted
*cries in Felix being my fav character*
I've used him in all 6 playthroughs
Hold up, Felix is easily an S tier unit. The man is so good, he's one of the only units that can use mortal savant, one of the worst classes in the entire game.
My Felix was A GREAT mortal savant he ended edelgard by himself
My Ignatz was also a great Mortal Savant. I mean, he has access to Fimbulvetr or whatever its called.
I think blue lions is the "intended" first playthrough. I feel like Golden deer goes more into depth on topics introduced in the other playthroughs so it feels like it's meant to be the last, especially since Blue Lions has more cutscenes for the reveals.
Also Edelgard doesn't remember Dimitri, Dimitri reminds her in his route but has no reason to in the others.
@@nickelakon5369 unless you count him calling her "El" in CF as a reminder (for it is the fact that she regrets his death afterwards and even becomes sentimental, against - the fact that you can get the Dedue scene instead and still see her regretting)
I think the best way to play the game story wise is by this:
Blue Lion route
Black Eagels: Rhea route
Black Eagels: Edelgard
Golden deer Route
That was my order of playthroughs and BL feels like it was meant to be the 1st, I'm glad it was mine. Azure Moon cutscenes and reveal was epic and is still my favorite. Crimson Flower was fun and then the Verdant wind gave me the answers. The best part about Sillver Snow was Seteth's reaction to transformed Rhea.
FE three houses isn’t good, ITS GREAT!!!

Lol wut felix is like one of the best characters in the game his crest is the best by far and his growths are sick
How dare you call my sweet Ashe forgettable! He was my absolute clutch unit.
He was MVP on my recent maddening church playthrough
Hunter’s Volley and good Dex is all you need to be busted in this game
I've only heard of Fire Emblem from Smash tbh. And after seeing some gameplay and your review I might pick up 3 Houses (also haven't been doing great in Splatoon so I need other games to fill the void)
Terence Lightning do it you won’t regret it
@@kayy4511 If I do pick it up it will probably be only one time through.
@@MxTheLight If you're only going to play it once, then you should go either Blue Lions or Golden Deer.
@@TrueLadyEvilChan Thanks for the tip!
@@TrueLadyEvilChan what is bit of a shame because Black Eagles is easily the most popular route...
Oh man, I stan Felix. See, he’s basically decided that pushing people away will make it so that he doesn’t have to keep losing them. And when he warms up to you, he’s the kind of friend who will tell you straight up “no, stop doing that. It’s bad.”
He was the only character who didn’t just mourn Dimitri when he was discovered to be dead, but wondered if there was anything he could have done to have stopped his death from happening.
I feel like the game wants you to discover it, since it is Edelgard, and the other route is like “well, we don’t HAVE a lord for you now”, but it’s still the odder route.
you've pretty much encapsulated why i love felix. good comment.
Smash players be like: "fIrE eMblEm iS aCTuaLlY gOoD? SiNce wHEn?!"
since the first game
they probably don't make more characters join you after the time skip because its a story meant to be lived with your students, which is why no map lets you deploy more than 12 units which is considerably less than in previous games
if to only mtint to be with stundts then way can reocnt othe 2 prosfers and aluis and way do you gilabt on your taem in bleu lines he no sutndt so again thay kind debank you right there
Ok might actually play it? Thanks for the spoiler skips

Thanks SquidMin!! :)
UUUUM ASH IS NOT FORGETABLE! He’s like, the best character in blue houses besides dimitri himself.
Great video tho
war master felix honestly one of the best melee units in the game
Of course. Felix always was one of my best units. As a Wyvern Lord, As a Mortal Savant, as a Assassin, Sword Master and now as War Master. He always kicks ass. But well... he also can get RNG screwed. No unit is safe
My felix is a sniper. Highly recommend it.

@@yoran4067 or "Fire Emblem" on the GBA (sometimes referred to as FE 7 or Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword.)
"felix is bad"

IDK man I played Golden Deer first going in completely blind on the game and not knowing much about anything it kinda feels like now we're fighting Edelgard, makes sense
then we're suddenly already fully focused on TWSITD and there would have also been a fine point to end it, but then we also kinda just fight The old guy had someone not literally mentioned in a cutscene that this is the final battle I wouldn't have known.
I made the regrettable mistake of playing Silver Snow right after not knowing it was essentially Verdant Wind without Claude

Is game good? Yes
Does it have flaws? Oh god yes
Does the good outweigh the negative? Absolutely it does.
i know you said this game not needing a happy ending... but i need one! this game is so hearthbreaking. they really deserve it
that felix section..... dont say that about baby

Genealogy, PoR and RD are the best FE games, 3H is good but not the best FE game ever
Mick's Up I don’t see how any of those could be better but ok
@@kayden2119 just play them and you'll see why so many people think they're the best FE games ever
the amount of quality, care and details put in those games is almost tangible
Mick's Up Everything you just said applies to three houses even more though. It simply has more content and also better writing
@@kayden2119 no it doesn't
3H has a lot more content, that's true, but a lot of it is there just because
there's a huge lot of lore, but most of it is never explained nor mentioned at all
for example, if the dlc was about the nabateans (an aspect that would've needed much more depth), it would've been amazing, but it isn't, and it's a big wasted potential
also yes, the writing is good, but the storytelling is kinda bad
not kingdom hearts level, but not good either
I mean it won players choice at game awards. People shouldn't be surprised

Super late comment, but thanks to you, I took the plunge and got this game. I've never played a FE game before, but I'm loving it so far! Golden Deer House!
5:43 PITFALL! Felix is legit top 5 in the game
Felix's shield hero's relic is great. Give it to a protection stacking Lance Dedue and it not only helps him reach the point where he's immune to physical attacks thanks to its 6 protection, but it reduces his HP after combat, thus giving a safe way to boost his Vengeance damage to ridiculous levels after baiting a few attacks.
what shield heroe relic I have fleix on my team down all roats the I no flrice msison tog et heor leic for him so what you talking about
In all fairness to Felix, he’s nutty good as a brawler considering his crest, proficiency, strength and speed.
Felix is actually my strongest unit for me and my friends. 😂😂 he has sooo many unnecessary crits. 💯
And yes I married him...
You know you’re a fire emblem fan when one of the best characters in the game gets screwed over almost every run. I still have flash backs to my Sigurd that never grew speed in 25 levels.
You know you’re here because of smash.
8:30 Basically Rain>Thunder
21:49 The ending es exactly the same for male Byleth and Edelgard
On the tragedy thing: they mostly do well, but probably could have accounted for a few more variables. Like… what if you don’t recruit Dorothea; who then of the Eagles will mourn Ferdinand if you did get them? They do a lot with the battle dialogues, but the Monastery convos could have had more stuff; everyone should always have something to say about a former Housemate that died. And I do mean *everyone* and accept no substitutes…
A lot of this game’s ambition feels like it needed more time to cook; they committed to making this come after Fates and SOV, but with its scale a more standard but well-made game should have been the bridge between them… Which BTW, is *exactly* what they did when “Sacred Stones” was moved to release before the Tellius duology; POR was intended as FE8 and SS was FE9, as far as working titles, but they were being worked on at the same time.
The only reason azure moon is hardest is A you don’t have Dedue for some of it if you don’t complete certain things B Cornelia IS SO HARD
you can get to her in like 2 turns if you use warp + stride + fliers
This is my first fire emblem game and I loved it. Still have crimson flower and silver snow routes to do. But it’s great. I agree that I am a little mad that there’s no post game stuff
10:30 Can someone explain why the Marth stories aren't considered good?
Grass is green
The sky’s blue
Water’s wet
And fire emblem still has good music
I’m quoting this
I couldn't finish this one because I couldn't stomach killing the students. I learned later that it's possible to recruit them so I might go back and play it.
I'm so glad I decided to click on this video. This is awesome. YOU'RE awesome. THIS GAME is awesome.
This video is making me want to start my 5th save file for the game.
1:42 Captain Astronaut what happened?
On the one hand, I want the artistic integrity of the game to stay intact by not having a perfect route. On the other hand, playing the game on maddening+ or something to get a pacifist route would make me really happy and I think cringey hope is also art.
1:41 He predicted the future guys, he mentioned SQUID GAME lol

Hey ! Conquest is a good game !
Just skip the story and you're good to go
@@zant41 45$ to skip the game's story
no, no it isn't good
@@MicksUp Yes it is. The gameplay is great, the map design is overall pretty good, the difficulty is challenging in Hard and provides a REAL challenge on Lunatic, the characters are average (some really good but brought down by the shitty ones). This easily compensate for a story that just collapses into itself with every new line of dialogue.
@@zant41 i mean ok but when i pay 45$ for a game i expect every part of it to be worth that money

@@MicksUp I mean that's your opinion, but the gameplay certainly isn't "ok-ish". There is a lot of great things about Conquest which are able to make it a good game despite of a lacking story.
Idk, i got Felix/Dimitri ending first time i play the game and it's my favorite ending.
I know this is many years late, but as someone who has over 600 hours in this game, I’d like to give my thoughts on the route order and how it should played. The order for a new player should be as follows:
Azure Moon
Verdant Wind
Crimson Flower
Silver Snow
Azure Moon has the biggest immediate impact between both story and characters, and is the best starting point to get you interested in the game.
If it’s the first or second route you play, you’ll end up incredibly bored and probably ditch the game before you finish the route, so it should be played after the other three, and should only be played if you specifically want to learn a bit more about Rhea, Seteth, and Flayn in particular.
i'd say it's "ok", not terrible but not amazing either
if you play 3H on a superficial level, chances are it'll become one of your favorite games ever, but just as you start scratching that surface, you'll be able to see how many flaws lie beneath
surely a huge step up from Fates, but honestly getting worse than that was an almost impossible task
imo shambala area 17 redux caught me so offguard
when i first heard this, i was like: "wait...this is a fire emblem soundrack???"
"it's dope."
TWSITD should have won in the crimson flower path. The moment Edelgard bonked Rhea on the dome they should have nuked Fhirdiad.
Lumping Ferdinand in with Sylvain and Lorenz..... how dare you......... Ferdinand was never a creep to women. How dare you
CF was my first route too, and yeah, I wish I'd played other routes first,,, It was very jarring, and a LOT of things brought up in the first half are either never mentioned again, period, or are vaguely mentioned and THEN never brought up again. It really did feel like tons of exposition was just..... Missing
I love the Black Eagles kids dearly (except Caspar), though, and in terms of ideology/goals, I feel like there's a lot of non-BE characters that make perfect sense joining your group in CF, like Sylvain and Lysithea). Honestly, those two Not joining Edelgard is gonna be super weird in my GD and BL playthroughs,,
I'm starting my GD run rn and am looking forward to having Answers and better story progression lol
Dimitri 😳 😳 😳
I should probably play this game...
I am Ferdinand Von Aegir!
1:52
I wish I stuck with conquest only during the fates era 😳
I had to recruit raphael every time. Couldn't bring myself to kill the friendly giant.
Depends on whether or not you picked Golden Deer. I love those misfits.
lmao the felix hate bc of his poor growths in your runs reminded me of how i struggled in shadows of valentia bc my pegasus sisters all had such awful growths that est was the strongest of the three
Felix: *Calls his childhood friend an animal throughout the entire first half of the game*
also Felix, when said childhood friend turns into everything he ever accused him of being: How the fuck did THAT happen?
Tfw Felix is my fav character lmao 😭
I love how Lorenz's C support w/ Byleth is just you telling him to stop harassing women
What!? Don't play Golden Deer first if you want a slow burn reveal of the stories secrets. Or if you're easily frustrated by the "miscommunication" trope.
Because basically Claude's discoveries make you want to scream "just fucking talk to eachother" at the lords for the rest of the paths.
