Hi Danny. I hear your objections to posting video/audio of speakers in operation. That said there are plenty of YT channels that audition speakers and the results are clearly audible despite YT audio compression. Interconnects and speaker cables are clearly audible, enough so that preferences can be reliably discerned. I get it that fine nuances/imaging/sound staging/layering etc may not be fully conveyed but decent AV recordings can very usefully convey the overall nature/vibe of the DUT. Please reconsider your stance and post some demos of your new hallmark speakers, it surely won't harm your brand. Cheers from Downunder.
99lb for a speaker incorporating a 12 inch servo sub plus amp, doesn’t strike me as being very substantial. A good, mid sized, stand alone sub would easily come close to that, plus give you the added bonus of more flexible placement.
What brand tweeter, mid and woofer are you using? it doesnt seem listed anywhere? As a guy who focuses on parts quality not sure why this was omitted ?
And are you sure the ported design is also "articulate" and supports a similarly clear and non fatiguing midrange? If so, I would only need a flat pack cabinet kit to go with the components?
Just to be correct...Kit Hardware: $2,675.00 with Subwoofer jumper, Flatpack: $900 Unfinished or $2100 Finished (Maple, Oak, etc), No Rez: 2 at $118 for a Total of: $3693 Unfinished cabinet, $4893 Finished cabinet.

Is that your new Loudspeaker kit? Bully Bully do you know what famous person stated that! He was part of the rough riders in the early 1900’s…. He was a great man!
Servo controlled, is basically what nudell already did when i was just a glimmer in my dads eyes. This seems super backwards to what danny always preaches regarding baffle /edge diffraction. Those things will color the soundfield 100 percent (which personally) to me makes a soeaker unique in its sound signature. But yah ...strange design choices, from someone that is so hell bend on "accuracy"
Offsetting the upper section helps with diffraction. By aiming the speakers straight forward, the diffractions go off to the side and away from the listener. These were designed specifically to look "old school" per public demand, not to minimize diffraction. Danny's other designs are narrow baffles or even open baffles.
What Arnie was using was an old accelerometer based system. It had no where near the control of what we are using today. We were able to control and minimize the baffle effects on this one, and they turned out great with no coloration and a high level of accuracy.
Wouldn't it be better to have the bass/sub in a separate box to enable proper placement in one's room? What about reducing the baffle reflection of the midst and tweeter?
We have that too. In this case though you can place the speakers where they best image in the room and you can use the controls on the subs to make them do anything you want. Surprisingly the baffle size was not an issue. The asymmetrical driver placement went a long way.
Might I suggest an idea Danny? Why don’t you offer these speakers and others with upgrades. What I mean is to have a luxury model with the top notch drivers.
I really like the design but I would like to see servo sub - sat set up like the Infinity Modulus was with the stand alone servo subs which let's you to place where ever it sounds best.
@@Error2username a dedicated well designed optimalized servo sub-sat combo can be another level compared to "just buy a sub" to your existing "whatewer" satellite speakers. You can disagree I don't care
I recall you had an inline line level filter. Versus passing off a full range signal to the upper portion and let the power wasting crossover burn amplifier power, why not use a custom in line filter to split the frequencies off?
It's likely that the passive high pass on the top speakers will not "burn power". If implemented correctly, it will present a high impedance to the amp at low frequencies, and therefore consume low power at those frequencies.
Passive filter don't burn off amplifier power. The reason these have an internal high pass filter is that they can be used with any amp. Inline filters have to be based on the input impedance of each amplifier they are used with.
use loudness at low volume ,it´s there for it,i don´t get how you critise this speakers badly ,not you type of sound maybe. it depends on the size of the room ,this are ok for larger rooms and they do release a great sound ,using tone controls and loudness or even a extra equalization ,this controls exist to be the better you want them to sound, in a studio i have since 1970 with upgrades till today ,i have equalizers from dbx and some altec lansing restored like the jbl´s and pioneer´s(twin 2401 exclusive series from Pioneer )done by the same engenier . this are great sensivety speakers, yes the bass is incredible that is the problem with some newer speakers ,also the room to play them, in the wider low frequency spectrum you listen the glass from old doors in furniture vibrate as hell ,those lower frequency´s one is supposed to do not hear

Now I just want to see subs merged with your other speakers. NX-Studio + OB sub?
I have a question. You talk about tube connectors, good wire, etc., but what about the other end where the connectors go into the amp? Aren't we at the mercy of the amp builder to give us good quality banana outlets? If you have lousy connectors at the amp end, won't that kind of cancel out the quality work you've done at the speaker end? Just a thought....
If there is a good set of binding posts to connect to then some pure Copper spades are the best way to go.
It gets even more interesting, when you see what goes on between the emitters/sources of output transistors and said terminals...
Hey Danny what do you recommend for Floor standings speakers that are somewhat flat and response good to Techno music?
These Bully's will do it.

Ha, ha, ha, that is not a comparison.

hi Danny and Hobbs. will these take more amp power than TYLER’S T2’s?
They have good power handling, but at 94.5db sensitivity you won't need a lot of power.
WOW, Danny. What a shame I can't order the Bully kit from Australia. Do you have an alternative Bass driver/amp that would work with 240 volts?
The amps to have a 240 volt setting.
@@dannyrichie9743From your website: "Due to the amps incompatibilities with 220-240V power, this kit is only available for customers in the US & Canada."
@@MS-pw8yu Yes, Rythmik Audio asked me to post that. If there are issues with the use of the 240 volt systems (that might include any transformer hum), by the time Rythmik has to handle return shipping to the overseas customer, they loose money. It is just not worth it to them if they have to service them. Shipping is just too high. However, if the customer is willing to cover shipping both ways if there is any issue with them, we will send them out to them.
when will you offer a 220-240v version?
The amps do have a switch for 220 to 240 volts.
Amazing speakers 🎉🎉
Hey Danny! Nice speaker indeed. And I dont mean anything bad about it, just again wondering, why the top end is rolled off? Did you choose such tweeter becouse of its character? I still wouldnt care much, becouse Iam old enough to dont hear such sound maybe above 15kHz.
That is not much of a drop and it is all above 15kHz. If it were not playing almost wide open to hit that output level I could adjust it to flatten it out. It is what it is, and it is still really good.
@@dannyrichie9743I will give you more ammunition Danny which is to say that Audyssey MultEQ XT32 let's you select between high frequency rolloff curve 1 and curve 2 and those might be similar
We are working on it.

I have been looking at Troels Gravesen for a long time and what holds me back is the shipping costs. This looks as good and it appears the price is a real bargain.

What about putting the Brute’s woofer with the MTM?
The sensitivity of that woofer is not high enough. Plus, we already have the Brute with a passive lower woofer.
Sometimes you just need a BBW Big Beautiful Woofer.
Is there a grill option?
Not right now.

Very interesting speaker
Wouldn't it be better to have the bass/sub in a separate box to enable proper placement in one's room? What about reducing the baffle reflection of the midst and tweeter?
We have that too. In this case though you can place the speakers where they best image in the room and you can use the controls on the subs to make them do anything you want. Surprisingly the baffle size was not an issue. The asymmetrical driver placement went a long way.
Next up: The One Speaker to Rule Them All

Why don’t you offer these speakers and others with upgrades.
What I mean is to have a luxury model with the top notch drivers.
That would be our NX Series models.
I really like the design but I would like to see servo sub - sat set up like the Infinity Modulus was with the stand alone servo subs which let's you to place where ever it sounds best.
We have that too.
Just buy an extra sub???
@@Error2username a dedicated well designed optimalized servo sub-sat combo can be another level compared to "just buy a sub" to your existing "whatewer" satellite speakers. You can disagree I don't care
Small, medium, large those are very vague terms. Maybe some specifics

Yes having a powered servo subwoofer in that speaker is bonkers cool.
i am a bit confused regarding the lower woofer. How do you power the amps in each box? Do you run a power cord from each to the wall or??
No, it's an active sub powered by Wi-Fi, it comes with a PoWi-Fi router, that can additionaly fry your eggs, if you get close to it 😉
Yes, you run a power cord to each speaker. How else would that work? It's a subwoofer plate amp on the back.
I like this a lot and have been waiting for this video. I've always been fasinated by the Scanspeak Maxima, wich is essentially the same but in separate boxes.
For me, I'd love to see this configuration in separate boxes similar to small monitors with separate subs, so it's just a bit easier to place in the room. Looking forward for some reviews on these monsters! 😊
