I own the sDrive version, and with my daily commute to work in Phoenix, roughly 29 miles each way, I can average 33mpg in Comfort mode. I will often use Sport mode getting onto the freeway and moving lanes as I feel this helps me keep the engine rpm up for smooth transitions. With that said, I agree with everything you said about the differences between models. A well-equipped X3 30i will satisfy 90% of the drivers with no issues, while 10% of us will occasionally want the power of the M40i!! Hard truth!! Another excellent video!
Thank you for the feedback. BMW really makes very efficient engines. They also started adding mild hybrid into their 4 cylinder vehicles, this should extend fuel savings even more.
