My husband and I live overseas and make a trip there each time we come back to Sri Lanka. My parents - who live in Sri Lanka - go up there at least once a month. i like the your room name "singing civet" i think it has a very cute and funny meaning since in a common srilankan home sometimes you will have a civet cat running on the ceiling. usually civet cats are nocturnal so at the night they roam between the roof and the ceiling they are quite annoying since they make so much noise when walking and also they tend to pee on the ceiling which drips down in to the house. so since your room is in the upper floor i think the room name comes from that reference.
