A tip from indonesian: here, if you see a restaurant with a city mentioned in the food (e.g. 'gudeg jogja') usually meaning you aren't in that mentioned city. It's just saying they sell 'gudeg a la jogja'. In jogja itself, you will only see 'gudeg' without jogja. Just FYI, lol

@@Theeny ok yea, I’ve heard my friends say that before like back in elementary school and it kind of means you’re buggy or all over the place, but when I look up the definition it does refer to a medical condition so yea maybe we shouldn’t use it.

As someone who was taught never to use the *S* word, (I'm from England) and my parents worked as Nurse's looking after people with a wide range of physical, mental and chromosomal differences in an institution. So those kinds of words were always explained to me as to why they could be offensive. All this to say, I've seen lots of U.S content creators use this word. Thank you to Tylor for being so cool just to apologies and say you won't use the word on stream again, even though it's not unacceptable in your own country. I think that's awfully cool.

The moment the map the Cityguesser round for Bangkok started, I knew the exact location within Bangkok. It's a mall called Terminal 21, it's designed with an airport/flying theme! I stay pretty close by there. Sukhumvit is the exact area/locality. Was super fun to see it pop up!
This was great fun with a perfect balance between the chat and having fun with a very relaxed attitude! Looking forward to the basement stream next week
A customer was wearing a Brixton hat at work the other day and I was like “Brixton, nice, I like your Brixton hat” and he said “what is Brixton?” And I said “oh, I don’t know”😂 and it was so funny because he obviously didn’t know what I was quoting the stream
I like that Tyler gave it a go with the French. Everyone else is constantly struggling with English as a second language and native English speakers often refuse to even try saying one foreign word.
It's partially because we know we'll get it wrong and partially because the internet goes foamy at the mouth if you mispronounce their hometown on a live 😂 look at the live chat during the part where they were at the Thames!

Love your streams. UK subscriber watching some time later. I just wanted to thank you for immediately apologising for using the word 'spastic' & course correcting before rightly moving on with the stream. For those watching in the chat who decided anyone offended was a snowflake, or just choosing to be offended, in the UK it has been considered one of the most derogatory ableist slurs for the last 30 years. As a medical term it has been phased out here due to this connotation. To me, it was as shocking as hearing the 'r' word or the 'n' word & I had a really visceral reaction - but very quickly realised that is was not intended to offend - at the end of the day I couldn't imagine our golden couple ever wanting to do anything even remotely like that. Words are important - they can lift us up or keep us down. I'm really glad you both responded more graciously than some of the chatters did.
Haven't got to that part yet, but that's a relief 💜 I remember using that term in the past to describe how anxiety messes with my way of thinking, and how it feels until I learned of the deeper meaning and removed it from my vocabulary. It really is disheartening how certain words become "common" without understanding the true connotations. I hope that makes sense, and I think it's something people need to be more willing to understand in regards to how language can hurt. I respect that they have self awareness and correct their errors, instead of ignoring or doubling down on situations.

I don't find using people/certain search engines to help figure out where you've been dropped in GeoGuessr cheating. If I were actually dropped or if I woke up in a random spot somewhere in the world, I would use whatever resources I could to help me find where I was. So... You're totally not cheating!
@@BeccaBender37 Because there are no rules in GeoGuessr beyond there are 5 rounds and no time limits, unless you're playing the daily challenge which has a 3 minute limit per round. The rules of as few moves as possible and no help were put in place by Safiya and Tyler on their own game play after watching some streams of crazy talented geographic and cartographic wizards play and guess without help needed.
Vegas is my hometown, and may I suggest visiting the red rock parks and the wetlands :) there are very pretty parts of Vegas that I miss sometimes that I wish more people could see!

I'm so mad that the ONE TIME I don't watch the live on Tuesday, they end up in France and being French I watch them glance over the name of the region (Occitanie), of the county (Ardèche) and of the town (Alès) without being able to tell them in the chat
I've stayed in Excalibur. It's fine. The room was very clean, and smelled of pine. I had lots of space. My biggest complaint about it, relative to the rest of the Strip, is that it's bland. It's literally what you'd get if you try to merge a casino with Disneyland. Lots of medieval kitsch mixed with slot machines. It was weird seeing you scroll around where I live and work in another part of the video. I feel like I think it's nowhere, when it is in fact somewhere.
I stayed at the Excalibur with friends about 9 years ago, but didn't do a lot in that hotel because it wasn't a day they did their big production. It was a bit awkward walking through the line of male dancers advertising their strip show. The hotel had the impression of being sweetly themed back in the day like malls in the 90s.
The only thing I've ever heard of Brixton is from The Streets song 'Let's Push Things Forward' : "As London Bridge burns down, Brixton's burning up..."
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but there IS a Brixton Brewery. In Brixton. In South London. In the UK. In Europe. In the northern hemisphere. On Planet Earth. That being said, it looks like "Brixton Supply Company" is actually a Cali-based hat-focused clothing brand, from what I've been able to find. They are presumably inspired by London/The UK to some degree, as they appear to have started out doing old-school newsboy-style flat caps.

I've stayed in Excalibur. It's fine. The room was very clean, and smelled of pine. I had lots of space. My biggest complaint about it, relative to the rest of the Strip, is that it's bland. It's literally what you'd get if you try to merge a casino with Disneyland. Lots of medieval kitsch mixed with slot machines.
It was weird seeing you scroll around where I live and work in another part of the video. I feel like I think it's nowhere, when it is in fact somewhere.

I stayed at the Excalibur with friends about 9 years ago, but didn't do a lot in that hotel because it wasn't a day they did their big production. It was a bit awkward walking through the line of male dancers advertising their strip show. The hotel had the impression of being sweetly themed back in the day like malls in the 90s.

As someone near Oklahoma City....oh damn, lmao and close to Bricktown as well. That bridge is GREAT for photos.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but there IS a Brixton Brewery. In Brixton. In South London. In the UK. In Europe. In the northern hemisphere. On Planet Earth.
That being said, it looks like "Brixton Supply Company" is actually a Cali-based hat-focused clothing brand, from what I've been able to find. They are presumably inspired by London/The UK to some degree, as they appear to have started out doing old-school newsboy-style flat caps.
