Good show!!! Glad you have a riding buddy willing to try some snow. I had some gripstuds and they worked very well on ice, I think you will like them for ice/hard packed snow. Thanks for the goggles defogging tip.
My understanding is that in British Columbia I'm allowed to have studs that protrude no more than 2mm. These are pretty close so I suspect I won't run into any issues with law.

Thanks! The goggle defogging works great but is hard in goggle so maybe only do it with an old pair!

My bushpig hates the snow.
Mud ,gravel , and even sand are completely manageable . In snow about the only thing i can do is drop it on my leg.
I avoid riding the snow on my DR, its just too heavy i guess.
Are you allowed those ties in the road I know in Australia we aren't but we don't get snow in many places so it's not really too big of an issue
