  • 08.11.2022 | 1:06 PM | SAN DIEGO - Witnesses told us that the male driver and his female passenger in the Cadillac were eastbound on Hwy 94, and the female driver of the GMC was on his right side going towards the southbound I-805 as she was heading towards the transition ramp to the southbound I-805.
It appeared to one witness that the couple was fighting and that the female grabbed the steering wheel.
The Car went suddenly to the right and hit the GMC.
Both vehicles left the roadway with the SUV flipping.
    Good samaritans stopped to help.
Good Samaritans and the male started to help the woman get out.
The female got out of the Cadillac and started to walk westbound and tried to get away.
A CHP officer took her into custody.
The male was put into an ambulance to go to a hospital for his injury.
Suddenly he went berserk and attacked the Paramedics and then a CHP officer.
The CHP officers and the SDFD Firefighters came to aid the one officer.
The male fought them for awhile until they got him in handcuffs, and a sedative was administered by the Paramedic.
The woman from the SUV had only slight injuries and a Good Samaritan took her home.

My first thought was head injury.
I dealt with one as an EMT back in the 1980s. The guy was very combative with my partner, so I had to radio police to come join us. (I worked in a very rural area with transport time of hour(s) to the city.)
When we were stopped on the side of the road and ready to deal with it, I opened the sliding door, and the guy immediately flipped a switch and all chipper addressed me as Doctor and was cooperative. So I played along. My partner now drove. We took a leo with us in the back and had a nice chat all the rest of the way to the hospital.
It was so bizarre that it sticks with me decades later.

As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you have to be careful in wanting to say this guy may be on drugs when he may have a severe head injury. A situation like this with a mechanism like we saw would probably result in intubation under the assumption that he has a head injury. And even if he were on drugs prior to the incident, the drug effects may mask underlying profound medical issues.

The paramedics and FD had a tough time with this little girl, she was thrashing, arguing that she wasn’t hurt (she was actually pretty hurt, facial injuries, broken arm, head trauma), head injuries affect people differently. I hope everyone was ok at the end of the day.

I had caught rabies from a wild animal. When I was seeing red, I walked to the Wooddale Fire Department, asking for help. They kept telling me "No", so I climbed on the truck disoriented, and grabbed a Firefighter's arm. I was just asking for help. He threw me off of the Fire truck, and my body hit the concrete hard. I was bloody as a result. He then got off the truck, got on top of my back, folded my right arm behind me; pushing it upwards on my back, and shouted in my ear "DON'T FUCKING MOVE!" "DON'T FUCKING MOVE!" Eventually, they called the police on me, and the police drove me back to my mother's apartment. I jumped straight through the cop car window. The police didn't think nothing of it. After a few hours of time, being in my mother's apartment, my behavior became very violent, like a wild animal beast.
This situation reminds me, of how the paramedics and, the police did me, when I had caught rabies. I never did get any treatment, for my rabies. As a result of being tied down, tranquilized, and sedated to sleep, I suffered a Heart Attack. My Primary Care Physician, has prescribed me pills, to prevent another one. These dumb Idiots gave me the wrong care, believing that I was on drugs, and dealing with psychosis. I want to sue these Knit Wits.

When I was 8 months pregnant, I had one prisoner get his leg between the bars of his side rail and he kicked me in my very large pregnant belly. The guards were not pleased and told him that would NOT happen again, or he would his behavior would be addressed once he returned to the penitentiary. My baby was fine, but the head nurse didn't assign me to him again. So offenders often do not lose their stripes. Also, thank God for the witness who commented on the man being intoxicated or high.

    Never a dull moment.😳
I was once near the scene of an accident in L.A. and PD and FD were on scene.
Suddenly a commotion erupted and I saw FD wrestling with a man.
Turns out, the guy (apparently homeless) walked up to a firefighter and spit in his face, so all the firefighters jumped in to take him down.
No telling what diseases that guy may have had.

This man is definitely mimicking what a TBI looks like. (Traumatic Brain Injury) from working in a hospital over 15 years with patients that have TBI's these are typical signs. Combative, anger, confusion etc:
I applaud the police and the paramedics that were involved. I sincerely pray that this man recovers from his injuries.

Now I see in the news that some of the most rabid anti-police elected Democrats are getting their own security paid for by us citizens, and lately I've seen reports in the news of some of those Democrats are calling 911 asking for a police response. Which they get a priority response by those cops they hate.
