When Sam Brookes launched his PledgeMusic campaign in order to fund his 2nd album Kairos (Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment) - source: Wikipedia) anyone who had been lucky enough to have already encountered his music by that time, knew that the campaign would be a resounding success! Kairos was released (to pledgers) on February 3rd 2014 - the rest of the world will be able to own it from March 17th 2014
One of the packages Sam had on offer was the chance to have him come to your home and play an acoustic set for you. On Jan 24th 2014 (on my birthday) Sam played the first of his House Concerts in MY living room to a small but very appreciative audience.
He sang a wonderful set of songs - old and new (there were even impromptu snippets of High & Dry by Radiohead & Chris Isaak's Wicked Game!!) which left his audience captivated and enthralled. Sam's set was as stripped back, pure and organic as it gets and he left everybody, who was lucky enough to be there, completely spellbound and forever hooked on his beautifully crafted songs! Thank you Sam - you rock!!
