Now for Destiny Order, the pool is insane. A few people can get a 5-star you don't pick in place of a 4-star.
The pool for the Destiny Order does seem pretty amazing - a lot of people getting double limited SSRs that weren't part of the selection.
And the fact I miss this makes it more painful. Then again, FGO is the gacha of pain next to Genshin
But it's live right now!
If FGO NA team is smart, they will do Destiny Order again next year as per JP.

Congrats on the rolls. The destiny order summons I think is good for the health of the game. A lot of people get quite upset with the GSSR and this will help mitigate some of that damage. People are speculating that it will be a permanent feature of the anniversary going forward which is why they released it early.
As for my own rolls; I rolled the Assassin 1 banner because all characters on it were new for me and while I was hoping for Shuten or Gramps I ended up getting Carmilla (a perm 4 star who I have not gotten since starting the game 5 years ago), Wu Zetian (which is my second copy in only 5 years), and Cleopatra (new) who character-wise I quite like even if I don't care for the art so all in all GSSR was a win.
Destiny Banner I finally got an aoe alter ego in Kiara so I'll take it as I've sunk a ton of quartz into her banner every time she's come around in either alter ego or moon cancer form.
No amazing luck but got 3 new servants so can't complain.
I also pulled on Arc's banner and got her and my first copy of Qin Liangyu in 2 multi's and 10 tickets so excellent pulls here as well.
I have 900-ish saint quartz left which I believe is enough to guarantee summer skadi. That's my next target so I'll be saving saint quartz until then. We'll see what I have left after that if anything. There's a lot of good banners next year so I might save whatever I have left.
Thank you! I agree that Destiny Summons feels like a step in the right direction. I do hope it returns for all the big celebrations.

Gssr wise I ended up with np 2 Morgan ( I wanted musashi 😭 ) Morgan literally leg locked me

NP2 Morgan will hit pretty hard!
But NP2 is when Morgan starts to excel.
Holy crap I’ve had good luck this time around. On destiny summon I got squirtoria to patch one salt wound and then Koyan finally on my GSSR😭😭😭😭 salt is over.

Got Muramasa finally, my second choice for that saber banner so pretty stoked. Got my 3rd Morgan copy so I can finally 120 her (curse servant coins...) from the Destiny Summon. Got my Np2 Arceuid in a moderate amount of quartz so I have some for summer. I blew through 600 quartz on Morgan's last banner and 300 on Moriarty Ruler and got neither so this anniversary really made up for those nightmares.

I wanted Ruler James Moriarty but both GSSR and Divinity Summons smacked me hard.
I got NP 3 Summer Kiara on the extra class 3 GSSR and on the Divinity summons, I got Izumo.
Aw, at least Izumo was new! Kiara's kinda nice with the extra NP level.
Nice I also went for Himiko on my Destiny Order and also got a Gilgamesh who I didn't choose so I was very confused. Now I can say I was spooked by 5-star Gil. I went with Berserker hoping for NP3 Morgan or Musashi but got NP2 Arjuna.
Gil is an awesome surprise! But you did get another SSR, right? They should have given you someone in addition to your choice. NP2 Arjuna is still going to hit like a truck! Congrats!

I got Caren on GSSR and Bazett on DO and while its maybe not the optimal outcome it could have gone a lot worse, so I'm happy. But with 2 new quick servants I guess Summer Skadi is now higher in priority after all

Semi is a hotty, that totally makes up for her lackluster gameplay but that's not her fault, pretty much all AOE assassins are mediocre.
The banner selection was tough for me this time, but I landed on Morgan/Summer Musashi,Arjuna Alter Ended up getting Arjuna, and while I was low-key hoping for NP levels for either of the others, it's not like Arjuna isn't completely meta and broken, so there's really no way to lose.
For Destiny, I ended up with Merlin. Now I'm no longer the only year-1 player in existence that doesn't have him. Useless for farming, but man does he come in handy sometimes for boss fights and CQs.
I'm A-OK with getting Semi in the end. New waifu!
Arjuna is still an excellent get, of course! That Berserker banner was really stacked in general. Merlin is definitely useful to have. I still don't have him myself, and I'm a year 1-2 player.

Grats on the pulls! I cant be too mad at the gssr. I got summer medb + tomoe and saito along with Ibuki. I wanted Charlie the most, but getting arts sabers was always nice. Destiny pull gave me Koyan (dark) np2 so that was awesome (being an arts and tama-face simp). I also went in like 70 pulls and got Arc, which was so much nicer compared to Koyan (light) who took poor financial decisions lol

I was too broke to buy the paid SQ for either the GSSR, or Destiney Order. I did pull Ark in only 4 summon tickets though! I have my whole savings in tact still for Lady Avalon!

Waiting to do my Destiny summon on wednesday, but I got my dragon girl lancer from the GSSR. Melusine is the last of the big girls from that arc I was missing.
Now I just gotta figure out how to get Romulus.

Im a mostly new player and got my first melusine in the lancer banner, I was so happy and lucky I got her and not the others.
On the divinity one I got someone I wanted the least of my choices but I heard she's strong so I picked her and it's archer altoria(altria?) Is she strong at np1 and should I build her?
Congrats! Squirtoria is pretty good! Pretty much every 5 star is worth building.
Artoria archer gets a buff and she's pretty broken as a single target looper. NP1 won't see her hitting like a truck, but if you really like her you can feed her some grails to make up for a bit of that. Getting her to level 100 will put her closer to NP2 equivalent.

If your willing to pay a couple of bucks then sure.

If you start now, there is an SSR selector that every new player gets that has some limited or story locked waifus. But otherwise, yeah, the GSSRs are paid SQ only. Other than welfares during the summer events, it's all about saving up long term for big summoning targets.
I'm not gonna lie the one that you paid $30 for is somewhat of a rip off I wouldn't mind if they gave you two of the random five star servants for the destiny draw That you pick
GSSRs are always subjective value, but the fact that you can make your own selections is why the Destiny Order is premium. It lets you completely avoid big losses that GSSR banners often have.
