This story line explained so much about why Stephanie was the way she was. Awesome acting on Susan part

Taylor and Stephanie had such a great relationship.

Trarera_:.....until Stephanie realized how WRONG she was in manipulating Ridge into marrying Taylor....more than once!! Then Stephanie saw that her "friendship" with Taylor was based on a.....LIE, because Ridge ONLY "loved" Taylor because his mother "told" him it was good for him.

I know what it is like to confront your mother about past damage and get no satisfaction.

I feel like this storyline could have helped viewers process or recognize some of their own traumas

Well said. I'm certain that most B&B fans have identified with the storylines and scripts many times throughout life ! I sure have

You know this scene kinda reminds me of me and my mom you know ppl always say that therapy works but how the only thing that they want you to do is bring up the past in which I would rather forget why bring up the past just look forward to the future thats what I always say

Unfortunately not everyone can do that. I was abused by my father and uncle in very different ways, both traumatic and both caused me to behave in different ways depending on the situation. That trauma stayed with me and I caused a lot of damage to myself in life because of that trauma. I tried for a long time to pretend that it didn't happen. I buried so much of my trauma and because of that it caused me to do a lot of self harm. It wasn't until I faced it that I was able to look at things in a different way. I became more self aware of the choices I was making. I learned to realize that I could make better decisions for myself that didn't cause me more pain. I blamed myself for things that weren't my fault. Our past shapes our future. I am so happy for you that you didn't seem to go down the same road I did. I hope that you continue to look towards the future and not at the past if that is better for you. We each deal with things in different ways and that is okay.

I can remember family ph#s that I haven't dialed in thirty years. I wouldn't even need to think about it, to dial.

I think she was in contact with her sister from time to time. When she rings it seemed to me that Pam would meet somewhere with her to avoid her mother. I am so blessed upon seeing this that I had such a wonderful mum and dad. I will always miss them.
