- The CBS political drama is Sunday's most-watched series on television, averaging more than 14 million viewers. Téa Leoni, who stars as Elizabeth McCord plays the role of a former CIA analyst appointed secretary of state after the sudden death of her predecessor. Leoni joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss her role.
I just realized she’s actually acting naturally and being who she is in the show and that’s amazing!
That last question was so awkward, but I loved Téa's reaction with that smile- "I'm very happy. I'm VERY happy" alluding to her relationship with Tim.
I started watching the Madam Secretary show a few days ago and Quickly became adicted to it, its now my favorite! And I love Tèa's Role in the show💖

I think someone was crushing on Tea, lol! I watched the whole series for the first time a few weeks ago on Netflix, and I love it and have been thinking of rewatching, because I really miss it, plus there isn't enough Tea Leoni roles to watch or interviews for that matter, lol! Plus I really enjoyed the whole show very much. I've also been watching the show I first saw her in The Naked Truth, someone has it here on RUclips, and though it's a far cry from Madam Secretary, I do enjoy watching Tea in it, and also Holland Taylor who plays her boss in it!
Also want to say I love that even now she and Tim Daly are still together, I mean they started dating after meeting doing this show, so that's a long time, especially in Hollywood! I'm glad Tea has found a good guy, who makes her happy! He seems like a really nice person himself, I've watched a few recent interviews of him, and he seems very down to earth, just like Tea!

Madam Secretary will never be hailed as the best tv show ever. It's straightforward, funny, sentimental, and more liberal than conservative but... my sister is already on her 6th time watching the whole series and I'm about to start my 3rd run. What the show lacks... it more than makes up for the family values, humor, a big heart and of course the awesome and beautiful Tea Leoni.
I like the show a lot. I see some West Wing power in this show.

Good interview, but now it's kinda weird with Charlie Rose there and knowing what happened with him.
Diane Blumenthal Charlie definitely made a it a little creepy...LOL! I love Gayle’s “Tim...” because the other lady was playing into his foolishness... Tea was being polite but Gale was having none of that basically letting it be known that Tea is taken!
So creepy seeing his reactions to her knowing what we know now. The professional women were asking real questions and she was telling them about being 7 yrs old, making people laugh, her career etc...and he was remarking on how she was his kind of woman, giggling like a school boy and checking out her body language and physique during the interview... 35 sexual harassment allegations and those were just the ones who felt strong enough to come forward. Yuck!
wow, those are some awful interview questions and comments. And then they're just stalling for time because they didn't prep enough questions. Tea wonderfully covers for them and goes with it.

In the episod of the bomb that put Stevie into surgery, Elizabeth meets with the worse first lady and sec of state, hilary c. Aka karin. It is a shame they felt to include "karin" along with the great and amazing lady, Madaline Albright. I, as an Army Vietnam veteran and a Christian lady, will never back a woman with my vote for President with the exception of Madaline Albright. She would have made a truly dynamic President. Because she was not born in America she could never have held that office 🫤.

I don’t get it...this series could be so good at times but when it’s bad, it’s really really bad.
Acting is great, direction is also good. That leaves the writers (or show runners) that must be this show’s downfall.

I watched Madam Secretary in the beginning. It is much better now, taking on what is going on with The Border Wall Situation with children being separated from their Parents. The show is trying to be a voice for reason in the swamp in the Whitehouse and the other abuses that must not be normalized.
