The Citation person could have spoke about the M2 and touted its range, and rate of climb due to its 1965 lbs of thrust engines and 3300 lb fuel capacity vs the Phenom having engines producing 1695 lbs thrust and a fuel capacity of 2800 lbs. When he stated the speeds, the Premier guy was talking max cruise speeds but the others were talking long range cruise speeds which is a drastic difference. The max cruise speed of the Premier 1A is 454 kts (not 460 kts), the M2 is 404 kts, and the Phenom 100 EV is 406 kts. The Premier is still way faster, just not to the extent to your guests represented. The Phenom guy could have spoken about how the entry and air stair is far superior than the M2 and the cabin is larger. The Phenom also burns about 10-15% less fuel than the M2 and a lot less than the Premier. The Phenom also has better ramp presence than the M2 due to it standing taller. The Premier guy was the best representative of his product. Both the Citation rep and Phenom rep could have done a better job.
This is fantastic insight Michael! I'm sorry I'm just seeing this. I'd love to connect with you and provide a platform for you to discuss the M2 vs these others jets if you're interested. Shoot me a text or email - 941-241-2682 or tom@jetlifeaero.com
Is there a general range (percentage wise) between list vs sell price? Does it compare to high-end real estate with a 5-10% spread? I see a lot of ads for straight CJ's in the 1.9 -2.2 million range, but you mentioned 1.6. Just curious as I'll be in the market in the next year.
In general, it's about 5%-15% depending on how aggressive of an ASK price we're talking. I've seen jets go from $1.8m down to $1.5m because the ASK price was too aggressive in a given market.
Great video!!!! Tom. They are always super informative
Great analysis. Love them all for different reasons but settled on CJ1
The CJ1 is a beaut! I'm a Citation guy myself so I approve this decision lol.
Thanks for having me on Tom. Go Premier!!! Jeti
