The ambient noise in the background is unparalleled. Feels like you're really in an urban sprawl filled with street racers. Feels alive!!
Literally one of the best customizers of any racing game. I played Underground 2 since I was 9 and I loved to customize cars.
If this game doesn’t scream the greatest car customization system ever existed then i don’t know what does.

This game really cared about giving the 'car guy' options, and just not simulating the idea of options

3rd day of gameplay and heights unlocked same thing was when I played on my PC which is broken now, I was unlocking everything in about a week

Supposedly, the next NFS game will have a customization at the level of MW, which is not that good compared to Carbon but something is telling me that Criterion is planing to go back to this level of customization game by game.
How many different possibilities have to tune each car? (Outer look. Paint, decals.. spoilers . Rims exoust etc ..) ??

But honestly i don't really like a ricer car. in NFSU2 i always ignoring visual rating, my 240sx run with stock bumper & side skirt, no spoiler , no spinner, no vinyl , no underglow, no roof scoop, no trunk audio, no colored nitro spray, only with black color rota circuit rims, red color brake caliper, yokohama decals , stock muffler, gloss gray paint but the engine is fully upgrade 😂

Customizing your car visual customization don't make you a ricer you sound dum as hell what makes you a ricer is putting a whole bunch of visual car customization and having no actual engine mods in your car and you calling your car fast because it looks fast that's what makes you a ricer.

In this classic, we had much more options than in the modern titles. At the expense that all cars can only equip the same things.
Do you miss customization working in this way? Despite the fact this is impossible to happen on the supercars in modern games?
One thing I loved about this type of customization is that it gave you freedom to mix and match different parts and build a pretty much unique car that reflected your creativity.
Modern games can have this type of massive customization but maybe they try not to make it too complicated.
I would love to see more customization options but maybe there are some limitations? Who knows..

Honestly no lol. I use to say I miss this shit too but nowadays the way they make these racing games. I just don’t even worry about it anymore. I’m satisfied I still got this game and midnight club all versions except 1. Also nfs Carbon is def a go too for me. I stopped going to gamestop years ago. I use to go there all the time and here I am years later. Still playing these old gems reminiscing on the old days. It feels good to be back 😂😂nothing can change this feeling anymore.

You need to search in free roam to unlock it.
Google all shop locations in nfs ug2.
You'll find a map that shows all shops locations. Just go there and unlock it

You need to get pretty far in career mode to unlock them, around the time when you unlock Coal Harbor West as a location.

RICE stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enchancement.In short,they are a racer wannabe or tuner wannabe.They will customise their car with a really weird look (Example:Putting a very big spoiler on his car or having a very loud exhaust that sounds like a tractor).Most of them know nothing about cars and tuning.
