This is just a great great video. I love old VWs and I love that your girl loves them too. One other thing I love here is that Nugget, along about 6:50, looks like he's trying to console her too. Dogs can really pick up on stuff like that. He's a really good dog.
Really great video. I drove a 1971 Super Beetle. I bought it in 1974. The color was Shantung gold..the color of butter. I sorely regret trading it in after 18.5 years to buy a jetta though new car performed well beyond my expectations and after many miles. You are absolutely correct in regular maintenance for these air-cooled Beetles. They will run forever. Currently, I am driving 2004 VW with 53,000 miles on it. I had slight overhaul and it runs and looks like the day I purchased it. I will admit, it is not as much of a thrill to drive as my previous 1971 VW. There just isn't any way to bring back The thrill of the ride in the vintage Beetles.
So lovely to see how emotional someone can be to such an old car! :) I mean it shows that this car is not only for usability, this is more, like a real friend or a pet, soo beautiful to see :)
What up evil boyfriend 😅. Man I also got some tears of happiness for her 😢😂. You are gonna give it a heart attack with so many emotions so fast in opposite directions. Funny story I had alternator issues on mine too, dead batterie just last week and today I got it back. Oh man I love the heater system on winter of this things. It heat up so fast the inside. Cheers brother! Happy to watch two of your videos of vw related. And don’t be so evil with her, be more gentle
My first car was a VW. Her reaction when she came around the corner and saw it is something I remember well. It's a special car and she'll always enjoy it. Great video.
This is a great video 👍 I'm happy for her. I'm currently looking for a vw and researching those cars I've had an interest ever since some one I knew use to have one.
Dude!! OMG you are evil. Oh I laughed my ass off when you played to the camera, which makes me just as evil as you. You are EVIL with a capital flipping E! Nice job 👍
If that's a 69 bug,it's got the wrong taillights and deck lid. It doesn't matter, at the end of the day. All that matters is that the car is rust free. Enjoy. 👍
@@SirDrifto The taillights and the deck lid are correct for a 71. Maybe the floor pan was changed for a 69 floor pan with a title. More information available online.
First off, I ❤the video. I had a ‘71 Super with an Auto-stick. Loved the bug, hated the auto-stick. But I believe the body is a ‘69. Starting in ‘70 or ‘71, VW put air fins behind the rear passenger side windows. The deck lid is incorrect for the year but will definitely fits the body. The ‘71 had 2 sets of vents on the deck lid & the ‘72 had 4 sets of vents like the bug in this video. I recommend keeping a small fire extinguisher in the car. I sadly lost mine to an engine fire caused by the fuel line coming loose. 😢
Dude, I was tearing up when she was devastated and then was tearing up when she saw it. Great video.

Thanks! He really is perceptive when things are down. Dogs are amazing
Nugget was definitely trying to cheer her up 🥺 he's a good boy

It’s definitely memorable haha
Your poor pup .....so many emotions to process! 😅 Great video and great surprise. Vintage Volkswagens are the BEST.

I did feel bad for a bit. Then seeing her reaction when she saw the cae dissolved all that 🤣
That poor Stevie getting tormented
She deserves it 😂

We actually found out its a 71 not a 69. But somehow has a 69 title. Which is odd, but yes rust free and it drives great.
