One of the best running 350s I ever built was this cubic inch, late 80s, 81 block with factory nitride crank, this 350 is still running today, little lose but runs great
Super excited you put this one up buddy. I have a 73 hatchback custom that’s about to be pretty nice. Hearing this keeps me motivated for sure. 350 bored over 40 as well. Early 90’s nascar headers, nascar X pipe like Clint Bowyer had when his car flipped at Daytona, and a set of boom tubes with no traps inside…
Almost 30 years ago now I had a ‘70 Chevelle with a 12.5:1 compression 383 cube stroker 350 ( 400 crank), Crower rods & solid lifter .510 lift cam at 284 degrees duration and 108 degree lobe centers with Holley 850 cfm double pumper ( wish it had a dominator like yours) that flat got with the program backed by Full manual valve body ( reverse shift pattern) turbo 400 trans and 4:11 geared 12 bolt rear on 33” Micky Thompson’s with full set of Center lines all 4 corners ….. having kids and paying bills forced me to unfortunately part ways with that car & I STILL KICK MYSELF IN THE ASS for ever letting the wife convince me to sell it now …. Your “ mystery motor 350” sounds killer , like my old 383 did . The real fun was cruising around rattling widows of houses & setting off car alarms from the exhaust note dumping under car through shorty exhaust system & turn downs just ahead of rear axle ….. ahhh those were the days man .😎👍
That was the cat's meow way back when then someone came out with the predator and then they were the rage then there was nothing like two predators on a tunnel ram!!!!
Only a small block making 850 plus would need a dominator. Very few sbc with standard exhaust ports make over 850. No carb company would recommend a dominator for that engine.
@@lollipop84858 prove me wrong then guy!! What small block you got that needs an 1150 domi and can actually use it??Like I said, if you can use it , good for you! But also like I said, not many can take it! Prove me wrong
No specs this time, keeping us in the dark. Sounds good, good throttle response.
Man that’s nice I like that it responds real quick.
Can’t wait to see it going down the road.

@ChrisMcCutcheon-wj2pp Nice that's some longevity.
@nylegreen261 I just re read my post, I built that thing in 88, the block was an 80 or 81,
Runs great!
I also use dominators on everything. Great carbs.

Not too many small blocks that can handle a domi! It’s either detuned or you did something right!

Did you paint the heads black? Because that doesn’t sound like an iron headed deal. Also just because it’s snappy, doesn’t mean it’s fast.
How's the solid roller holding up with street use
