  • Lets get that Rear end a little tighter! In this video we are installing the JDM STI Rear Sub Frame Brace and the Torque Solutions Rear Diff Bushings. Both of these modifications should help to increase traction and help stiffen the chassis a little bit more. I love getting these JDM Parts in so lets get it done.

    Super glad to see you using the second camera angle. The person that suggested that must be a total genius! ;) LOL!
    Another fun video man! I looked up that brace on Rallysport, yeah, that OEM JDM stuff ain't cheap at all. At that price you're going to need a mirror under the back end of the car now just so you can always see that logo. DA-HAM that's spendy!

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  4 года назад

      For real! The go peo idea was a good one, like we've talked about I'm always open for feedback! Editing from two camera angles is definitely different to do but the challenge is enjoyed lol. Yeah the JDM Brace is not the cheapest but I felt like it was a good compromise between OEM and a dedicated track brace. Plus I just love those JDM Goodies 😅

    I cross threaded one of the long sub frame bolts too. I think you need to be really careful when lowering it, and try to lower it all at once, instead of side by side. the shearing force will ruin the nuts, and make it really difficult to get the bolts in without cross threading. was really easy to chase, only felt like a thread of two needed chasing.
    Always use new bolts for them too.

    Regardless of brace swap out choice, Cusco, Beatrush which is what I selected, or JDM STI they are all superior to the flimsy USDM OEM brace, full stop. Based on your review of the Torque Solution Rear Diff Carrier bit the bullet and picked one up. Whats not to 😍 about CNC billet aluminum paired with stiffer bushings! Should nicely round out my driveline mods! Efficient power transfer 👍 to the rubber goes a long way to compensate for lower engine power and torque output!

    • @Smeedia

      Shiester wait until an actual Subaru dealership in your area has what your looking for. Chances are if they think it’s a good car they’ll CPO it (they don’t usually CPO cars they think had been modified). It’ll give you way more warranty parameters and some peace of mind

      As a stand alone they won't make a huge difference but when paired with other support mods for the suspension. They limit a lot of the movement of you look at the OE bushings there is a lot of negative space on the bushing

      @Smeedia  4 года назад

      Thank you, the motivation has me going. Editing saturdays upload now 👀🔥
      So I originally did the Rear Sway bar but the car still felt loose. The air suspension really needs some good supporting mods to get the chassis stiff again. Then did the front sway bar and wanted tolhe rear end a little stiffer. I got the JDM Rear brace because I felt it was a good compromise between the OEM Brace and a more track version like Cusco or beat rush. It evened out pretty nicely
