Uganda should build, simultaneously, the section from Kampala to Mpondwe at the border with DR Congo. This way, when the Kenya SGR eventually reaches Malabar at the Uganda /Kenya border, there will be a seamless connection all the way to DR Congo. Much time has been lost already, since the EAC members launched the SGR dream in Mombasa, May 2017. Congratulations Uganda will finally start on its project, and more so, they chose an electrified railway system
I love my Ugandan people. You guys just need to separate culture from how you do business. Ugandans let the most respected person lead instead of the most capable. That's a cultural problem.
Kenya's SGR is nowhere to connect with Uganda's SGR as it has Stuck in Nairobi. Uganda should have planned its SGR to connect with Tanzania SGR first because Tanzania SGR has reached Mwanza Region which is close to Lake Victoria and Uganda border.
Yapping without facts, the Kenyan SGR is currently in Naivasha and the last phase is going to malaba border. Tanzania should focus on connecting Burundi.
Uganda is struggling to get money to build the East Africa Oil pipeline. Why don’t they put that railway money to finish the Oil pipeline first and build railway later??
I read it last week in news that the Government is struggling to secure 3billion $ to fund the oil pipeline. That now oil production in 2025 is nolonger possible. First oil will be in 2027
In the next 10 years, East African Community will be a powerhouse.
100%
I don't think so, with this biased political government
Tanzania is the role model to many countries Uganda included congratulations to Uganda

Rain way is very important for moving goods and people only if the government are serious to Revolutionist infrastructures
IT WILL ALSO REDUCE CONGESTION ON ROADS EVENTUALLY TO PREVENT UNNECESSARY ACCIDENTS.

Did you stick it in Nairobi that it cannot continue to malaba??
No please, they extended up to Naivasha which is not far from Ugandan boarder, maybe Kenya's last phase will from Naivasha to Malaba
Yapping without facts, the Kenyan SGR is currently in Naivasha and the last phase is going to malaba border. Tanzania should focus on connecting Burundi.
You really think kenya is far from uganda?
