I recently got a used unit like this. I was concerned by the sound that I hear when it is turned on, and typically when in TOC reading mode for a new disc. The sound can be heard well (with volume up) at 1:42-1:43 on this video, so I guess it's the nature of the beast. But I can't help wondering what it is. It sounds like some gears meshing together. Just wondered if you or anyone else had any idea what could be going on inside the unit at that point to make that noise. Thanks for posting this!
I have the RCD-W10 and despite using a brand new HP music CD-RW it just says data disc. Tried on two brand new CDs. Am I still using the wrong type of disc? Both sides play awesomely!
@@jaedarzadon Thank you. My techy hubby pointed out just a few minutes ago that the CDs I was trying to use were not, in fact, explicitly music CDs and that I should use CDs made only for music. He found some music CDs in his stash and voila. Thanks again.
Hi mate thanks ! I have a question for you, if I burn a Maxell music cd-r on my PC with the Nero express program at a speed of 8x and then I want to burn this disc again but in this Sony recorder, from Maxell Music CD-R to CDR Maxell music...could it be done? Or is it only from Original CD to Maxell? Can I do that ? Thanks
Apologies but I am a little confused on the question, but I am interpreting this as to technically using the same music CD on two different machines (PC & the Sony Recorder). I don't think you can. I would think the Sony will recognize the disc to have data but may not be able to read it correctly. Other machines only recognize and able to read a CD or recorded CD when finalized with the TOC (Table of Content) otherwise it would only be the same machine to recognize the same CD to continue recording. Sorry if my answer may not have directly answered your question.
I have this. Being in storage for 10 years. But I'm using this video to learn.. Thk . My recorder want eject

How do you replace the CD burner take out and put a new one in
How do you record from cassette on to cd?
You need to use the analog input in the back. The unit gives you a choice on what source you are recording.
I am trying to record on to the Cd the songs from u Tube
You can also use cd-r multi-use music+data
