After Ministry burned down the house at LollaPolloosa, most of the crowd split without hanging for the headliner. That was following Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, not to forget. Sorry Chili Peppers, Give It Away Now was not keeping up with vibe.
@@andu1854 I've seen interviews with Helmet and Ministry talking about that tour. All 3 bands were at their strongest at that point. Jealous, didn't go to my first shows till 93ish
I was a shoe gazing post punk kid until 1992…When I heard this for the first time. Life could have taken a tragic turn for the worse… But, no…. A mate even gave me a collectors vhs/cd box set for a wedding present. Best gig ever-even better than the studio release🙏🏻
The thing that most attracted me to early industrial was that it to me was another faction of real early hardcore noise punk. Just the right amount of anger, performance art, social political commentary, noise, shock, dark emotive goth, underground atmosphere, early acid club sounds, and theater. Then it got big and sucked. But in the beginning it was incredible and like nothing else.
From 6:39 until 7:56 is exactly how I feel most of the time, and have for over 30 years. Very few people understand it to that level, where that level of pure, unfiltered and unending frustration is part of who and what you are.
I love "In case you didn't feel like showing up live!" Stigmata I fucking love this song. I fucking love ministry. I've been fortunate to see them many times. And to meet & HUG UNCLE AL!!
it was the first tune i ever heard by them in around 89. my mate put it on a good sound system, i'd just had a bucket bong. i was in disbelief at what i was hearing. i went out and bought the album that weekend. still love it today. i absolutely love twitch too.

I was at this show, Merrillville Indiana Feb 28th 1990, it snowed like crazy that nite. I was 18. Damn fun show. Jello Biafra was there playing LARD songs... Ahh the memories...
The pit for this song at Lollapalooza, Irvine Meadows was epic and beyond belief. A bonfire of shit in the middle, hundreds of us swirling and slamming together like a hurricane. The vibe, the lighting, the energy. One of my greatest memories of all-time.
this song was one I constantly blared full blast while storming the hallways of my highshool. Oh man, teenage rage is awesome. still love this track though. all of the early stuff.
January 14, 1990, KMFDM and Ministry, LIVE! LOL, After the how a friend of mine, completely out of character, grabbed a baseball bat from his trunk and proceeded to smash car windows out! He had a great time until the cops nabbed him. I don't condone destruction of people's property, but...........it was just strangley fitting that night.
To be serious, the Web didn't exist and I was a 19 french guy who got the Cd ,gratefull to my roommate-a great and totally fucked-up drummer at same age. Nostalgia is a strange place to spend some time-sorry for my bad english, by the way.
two drummers are playng here wow , this version is better than the original , for me is more intressing for the crunchy attitude to use the visual art and the sound seem a progressive attitude , ministry , revolting cocks , pigface, lard: more project define a resears of an indentity with protest songs , free mentality for the electronic part to find this result , a good stuff.....
upinthemtns the last great Ministry album was Animosty (I’m not going through try to spell it lol) but after that they became a crappy metal band, that became too, obviously political. I’m a liberal but the politics are too obvious, I like it when Ministry was cryptic and used dark humor to get, their message across. If that makes any sense.
This song makes me want to fight every element on the periodic table! The most hectic injection of sound ever….GENIUS!
@holdenwaite nicely said my friend. I came for the fury but stayed bc of the production and psychedelia

Ministry would have been a way better headliner
The crowd gave it up hard for Ministry. They stole the show from what I remember
One of the single most overlooked live albums ever. Every track is bulletproof top to bottom.
It was so different sounding at that time as well.
Yeah, live version sounds way better than the original studio. I think they really found their sound after Land of Rape and Honey came out.
Nobody overlooked this. It was amazing. You just weren't there :D
Totally agreed and I bought the VHS of this and saw them in dec of 92 (best concert ever with sepultura and Helmet opening

One of the best bands I have ever seen... Stigmata was one of their encore songs and it was amazing back in 92
even though it was released in 1988. cool that 80's already had industrial metal.
This is the best version of the song
This is my official song for the occasional "I hate everyone and they all need to fuck off" mentality.
