These are beautiful I didn’t know my Serger could do this till I saw your other videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I need to get some nice fabric now.
Oh my goodness. I better make sure I don’t place my fray check near my oil. I can see myself make that error too. The bottles are similar looking. Glad to hear there was no permanent damage to your machine!
I Watched you start off doing the napkins love that you have progressed beautifully. I love watching the machine stitch out it’s mesmerizing. It’s also encouraging. Thank you for your post. Have a great day. Stay safe God bless. ****Marian****
Question: what is quilting cotton? I am sorry I have never quilted. I have learned so much from this group. There was a lady who told us to put the speed on high was correct! I made about 4 bobbins and used them and they sewed beautifully. Thank you!!
There are lots of things you can do with a sewing machine. I’ll post more videos with the sewing machine doing napkins. I have a lots of different ideas of what can be done. Stay tuned….
I don’t have a surger, can a standard sewing machine do this edge finish? Would it be a good idea to get an inexpensive one? What do you use it for other than edging?
Hi Needlepoint. The serger gives a different finish than the sewing machine. I got my serger for $199 at Walmart. If a serger is out of the question, try sewing with decorative stitching on the edges. That would look cute and different.
Hi Chris. The rolled hem on a serger vs doing one on a sewing machine is different. Here is a video that I did on that. I also show how to do it on the sewing machine as well. It is a different look thou. ruclips.net/video/bBhlLj_YAQ4/видео.html

You’re welcome ☺️
I one time used fray check to oil my sewing machine. Fortunately I cleaned it up and then got it checked out. No problems. Whew.

I love your hoopmaster! And magnetic frames! Where do I get them? I use fast frames but that hoopmaster is a game changer for time.
Hi Michelle. The info is in the video description.
What fabric do you recommend for napkins?
Hi Memory Bears, Just use any type of fabric you want. In this video I just used quilt cotton. It's soft and light. I didn't want anything heavy.
Hi Jeanette, that is beautifully done. Is that quilting cotton for the napkins?
Hi Sylvia. Yes. I just used the fabric I purchased at the Expo. The other napkins was from fabric I have in my stash.
